*3.5*

I'm still enjoying this, but I haven't fallen in love with the story or characters yet, so I don't feel super connected to the things that are transpiring. But I see a lot of great promise with the way this volume ended... I can't wait to see how things pan out in the next one.

A lot of violently graphic scenes - blood/torture/death and a kidnapping.
The art bothers me a little bit because a number of the characters look almost exactly the same.

Overall though, the plot is surprisingly enjoyable.

Two kidnappings, at least five murders, and some house sneek-peaks of our newspaper team members - not bad for a second volume.

The plot is still a mystery to me but I want to learn more so I hope the next volume will give more information.

The 2nd volume to this manga was really fast paced and interesting, the 1st volume was mainly a set up to the story but the 2nd volume is a breeze, it goes by super fast and is really interesting, the events that take place and what they lead to makes you want to see what happens and it’s good!

This is like the Del Taco of manga. It’s not very good, it’s not very interesting, it’s not at all original, and yet……I still finished it.

Volume 2 is still not great, but it holds out hope that the 11 volumes won't be a dud.

The main character and Otoya are the only characters in this book I respect.

I might not pick up the rest of this series for awhile, it does kinda bore me, but I do want to know the end.

Not as bloody as the title makes it sound! A lot of running around after kidnapped people, though.

Definitivamente este chico no es humano! D:

I officially have a new favorite manga series. Bloody Monday is awesome. It's a tense techno-thriller full of suspicious characters, double agents, and a page-turning mystery. Good for fans of the tense interplay between L and Light in Death Note, but it is not a fantasy series (so no demons, ninjas, spells, etc). While some of the hacking is a bit over-simplified, the drama as the stakes are constantly raised completely pulled me in.
