Daniel: Honestly, I think this was actually pretty dull. A lot of times I ended up with the same ending.
But that's up to you. Needless to say, I don't think the series has been continued. I hope I read a much
better book this year.

Club Penguin is Disney's Massive Multiplaying Online Game (MMO) for kids 5 to 15. Kids can create their penguin avatar (available in a variety of colors) and his pet puffle (picture a tribble with eyes, also available in a variety of colors) and buy clothes and accessories for both and play a variety of children's games, like match-up. The CYOA books are a spin-off. Needless to say, I'm not the target audience. The only reason I bothered with the book at all was to cross off a category. CYOA books are not my cup of tea or can of beer. I think it says something that they didn't allow the author to have her name on the cover or spine.

You and your puffle PJ (both green, BTW) have a Freaky Friday moment and switch bodies. You decide to find Gary the Gadget Guy to see if he has a gadget that can switch you back. You wander around locations in the MMO doing things trying to find Gary. Being somewhat OCD, I didn't consider the book finished until I had followed ALL of the paths. 16 endings, 20 pages on average, the majority of endings were positive (switched back), a few negative (no switch) and a couple simply left me hanging. My first run thru I got a longer story with a positive ending. A couple of things struck me as odd. I expected all choices to be nearly equal in length. But often, when given two choices, one continued the story while the other ended it on the next page. Also, given the commonality of the story lines with them visiting different locations in the MMO, I expected some of the story lines to merge back together. I don't know if either of these is unusual in CYOA, and I'm not really interested in reading more to find out.

Traded this book today at a little free library. I decided it looked cool especially seeing how I grew up always playing with friends on club penguin when I was younger before it got shut down. Miss cp so much but this book is good. Definitely good how you can pick what happened. Would say this book is probably 7+ depending on you or your child’s reading level.

A cute choose-your-own-adventure book. I read it for a reading challenge, being a quick read, and I do recommend it for families. I'm way past the age to read these books (level-wise), but I still enjoyed it. I found the characters very cute and entertaining. The author had alot of imagination, creating a story like this one.

Children will have fun choosing their own adventure in this Disney Club Penguin book. Penguin and puffle have magically switched bodies and go on an adventure to switch back. Lots of bouncing back and forth. Entertaining read, though, and one that allows children to make choices.
