In this book Kristy and her best friend Rachel are on spring vacation! So far during the vacation they been friends with a lot of petal fairies! During the trip they also saw some flowers. However the flowers were always wilting and unhealthy. Soon they figured out that this was because the fairies’s magic petals were missing! They also figured out that Jack Frost and his goblins are also trying to steal the magic petals. Kristy and Rachel also promised the fairies to help them find their magic petals! There are seven petals, they already found six, but they still need to find the last petal for roses. Today Kristy and Rachel are going to the Chaney Court Flower Show! Soon they spotted a rose tent, a beautiful Japanese garden, but no matter how much the looked, they couldn’t find the magic petal for the roses. Soon they noticed a fairy garden! Will they meet Ella the Rose fairy there, and find the magic rose petal!? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!!!

Daisy Meadows and her fairies are my childhood. I collected so many in my youth, knowing all the fairies and their importance, and sticking with the two special girls who go to be a part of the magic.
Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend. It's fun to hear stories from my old teachers telling me how over the years so many students have grabbed these books and fallen in love with the tales of two girls, Jack Frost and the fabulous glittering magic that is the fairies.
On Christmas last year, my sister surprised me with a boxset of these books, but cause you cannot collect these darlings as easily anymore. I was over the moon!
If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on...it is Daisy Meadows!

Rachel and Kirsty want to help Ella the rose fairy get her stolen magic petal back.

This simple children's tale is easy to read and interesting. Good values of friendship, sharing and creative problem solving.

Good book to get back from a reading slump since it's a short and sweet read.

C'était un autre livre amusant! J'ai plus facilement arrivé à le lire parce que le vocabulaire était plus familier la deuxième fois.

Ella the Rose Fairy is the last book in the Petal Fairy series and the fourteenth Magic Rainbow book I've read with my daughter in a row. That makes fourteen Magic Rainbow reviews so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.
The author group that makes up Daisy Meadows does a great job with keeping these book different. There is much that stays the same from book to book, it has to, but there is always a distinctiveness about each.
Althought I would definitely recommend reading each book in a series in order I don't think it's needed. There is a very good background in each also. (This can be a bit tedious when reading in order but it's a necessary evil.)
Any little girls who love fairies will enjoy these stories. Each one that we've read so far (The Petal Fairies and the Color Fairies) has been just about 67 pages. There are short chapters in each so they can be read small parts at a time or as a whole. (We finished this and the end of Danielle the Daisy in one sitting yesterday evening.)
I definitely recommend for younger girls and even older girls who have a definite grasp on reading. The text is simple but couldn't be read by a beginner alone.

Rachel and Kristy are still at blossom hall. They go to the corn maze. In the maze they find Ella. Rachel and Kristy help Ella look for her petal. They find goblins who have the petal. Ella turns Rachel and Kristy into fairies. Kristy grabs the goblin's wand and uses a spell to whisk them all to Jack Frost, because another girl was coming. At Jack Frost's icy castle, they find Jack Frost. But then Jack Frost finds the fairies (Rachel, Kristy and Ella). Jack Frost makes icy lightning bolts, and they have to dodge them. Then all the petal fairies appear in the sky and the lightning bolts bounce off of a pillow made of flowers that they made together. Rachel and Kristy were distracting Jack Frost while Ella went to grab her petal.

This is the last of seven books in the The Petal Fairies series by the group of authors who call themselves Daisy Meadows. Their books are so formulaic, no wonder they've churned out more than a hundred of them. But our oldest loves them and gets more and more at the library every time. She's averaging one every day or every other day, so it'll still take many months before she exhausts the selections. So far I'm keeping up with her, but only because I can read one of them in about five minutes.

This is five-year-old's first foray into listening to chapter books. While I'm glad her attention for listening without (many) pictures is developing, these books are so silly! And there are at least a bazillion of them. Fifty, maybe more? Heaven help me. Where are the "classic" transition read-aloud books?!

The formulaic nature, though, makes them easier for the young listener to engage, understand and process the story. THey are clean and safe, and not particularly insulting. Just not my cup of tea.

This series appeals to young "girly" girls who are ready for short chapter books. There is definitely a formula here, but actually, that is fun for young readers. They like being able to predict what will happen and know that "Jack Frost" will be defeated. Pink, fairies, a bit of magic . . . perfect for your young princess . . . but just until her reading tastes become a bit more sophisticated.

I liked the book because I like flowers. Rachel and Kirsty were in a garden show and the goblins were in the garden full of different color flowers but mostly pink flowers, and the goblins don't like pink. But the goblins were looking for magical rose petal so they had to look at pink roses, and Ella turned one goblin pink, and it was funny.

I have no idea what my daughter sees in these damn fairy books but she loves them, so I read them to her. they're completely formulaic - read one, you've read them all. but for whatever reason they never lose their charm to her.

I learnt that we normally should help people if needed.

I like this book because Ella the Rose fairy finds her magic petal.
