#1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery writes heartwarming and humorous novels about the relationships that define women's lives—family, friendship, romance. She's best known for putting nuanced characters into emotionally complex, real-life situations with twists that surprise readers to laughter. Because Susan is passionate about animal welfare, pets play a big role in her books. Beloved by millions of readers worldwide, her books have been translated into 28 languages.
Critics have dubbed Mallery "the new queen of romantic fiction." (Walmart) Booklist says, "Romance novels don't get much better than Mallery's expert blend of emotional nuance, humor, and superb storytelling," and RT Book Reviews puts her "in a class by herself!" It's no wonder that her books have spent more than 200 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list.
Although Susan majored in Accounting, she never worked as an accountant because she was published straight out of college with two books the same month. Sixteen prolific years and seventy-four books later, she hit the New York Times bestsellers list for the first time with Accidentally Yours in 2008. She made many appearances in the Top 10 before (finally) hitting #1 in 2015 with Thrill Me, the twentieth book in her most popular series, the Fool's Gold romances, and the fourth of five books released that year.
Susan lives in Washington state with her husband, two ragdoll cats, and a small poodle with delusions of grandeur. Her heart for animals has led Susan to become an active supporter of the Seattle Humane Society. Visit Susan online at www.SusanMallery.com.
3 best friends make a pact that if they were not married by the age of 34 they would have a child on their own. On the date that first of the 3 reached that age, she discovered her fiancé was already married, to someone else, one of her best friends had known about his cheating and not told her AND the three of them had won the lottery.
Lily, the oldest of the 3, had artificial insemination and rapidly became pregnant on the first try. Subsequently each of her friends had artificial insemination.
The 3 stories. In this book are the story of each of the friend finding a way back to each other and finding their ‘forever’ man. I enjoyed the stories to different degrees. My rating would have bee 5 for Susan Mallery’s story of Lily, 4+ for Christine Rimmer’s story about Rachael and 3 forLaurie Paige’s story about Jenna. Which is my problem with collections like this, I like the writing in some of the stories and. Not so much in others.
This was a fast paced set of stories, most of the characters were real and their problems seemed realistic, some of it was a little slow and wordy, but overall, the book is worth reading
This is 3 short stories. I like that there about 3 friends who made a pact with artificial insemination if for when they were 34. Of course they each get pregnant the first try. The first story was okay and my favorite of the 3. The second seemed incomplete tho was technically finished during the 3rd which was also okay but not as good as the first.
Overall, read the first if your given the book but there are much better books out their to read than this.
This is actually 3 short novels, each about one of three friends who have decided not to let lack of a husband or a man stop them from having children and have agreed to be artificially inseminated if they haven't had children by age 34. A slightly different twist to a romance. An okay quick read.
