They are finally acting like grownups. Thank goodness 😁 I also liked that the author finally shows the differences between the different character’s skill. That’s something that was missing in the previous…13 books 😂😂 for example: I never quite understood why lasgol had two specializations cause to be honest he sucked. But ge is finally able to do something. That’s very refreshing. My only problem is that Ona and Camu, his to animal companions never really do much. He doesn’t let them do anything to be honest. I understand that he worries about them but wasn’t Ona in a way trained to assist him in a fight? Ah well. She helps in her own way and I feel like she understands more and more what the panthers are telling her. She also stopped chirping all the time and finally learned to growl which is a real improvement 😂 One more thing: Shouldn’t Camu start to talk properly by now? He has to be around five years old, right? And he still doesn’t know hoe to form one sentence. Also… why doesn’t egil tell his friends what he’s planning to do?!!! He could have killed them on numerous occasions simply because he loves all those secrets. The author doesn’t need to hide it from us! Most of the time it is fairly obvious what he’s going to do. And I think it would help the group if they were to be involved in the thinking process.
Los protagonistas siguen encontrando problemas e intentando salvar el mundo. Una historia interesante que sigue evolucionando y profundizando en algunos temas que seguían abiertos.
I am not sure anyone has ever overused a word quite as much as this author with that one word…. After the fifth chapter I wanted to throw the book every time I read it….
Overall once again the author is a great storyteller! However, I still find certain character development lacking in someways… Egil and with his one repeated one liner, and Viggo with his well himself start to drag… I am not saying Viggo can’t be his “cocky/charming self but you can rein it in a little bit… It reminds me of the Thor Love and Thunder and the criticism that the comedy felt forced because it’s like Thor could never be serious and it is a character draw back, just like it is for Viggo… Could have replaced both of them with Gerd and it may have been better with how annoying they can be!
Overall the concept of the story is great though even if at times it feels like the author forgets about their powers… During the pirate take over Lasgol could have used his magic to much better effect and that was a running theme with it… Also the fact that no one but Egil seemed to understand there was going to be a royal wedding implies they are all complete idiots… It was the first conclusion to be drawn during their visit to the kingdom and Larsen was discussing the uniting of the kingdoms and why they had to rescue the princess, I mean are all the characters but Egil seriously that stupid?
But I will keep reading these books because I do enjoy them and the overall story is a good one!

I love all these stories and I am looking forward to the best book. Two things that bother me; 1. now that the threat to all Tremia is confirmed, the Panthers should inform the Rangers, King, Mages and probably other kingdoms of the threat and not try to handle it alone: They have experience telling a story and keeping certain facts out of it. 2. Lasgol has spent more than enough time working on his powers. Now that he and Camu have had tutoring, their progress should increase rapidly. It’s getting tiresome reading about how hard learning magic is. I want to see him really use his power well. It’s dragging out too much which means the pay off of him finally mastering his large pool of magic May fall short of being satisfying if it’s use in tossed in at the end of the series and we the readers don’t get to enjoy Lasgol and Camu using their powers extensively.
In this 14th book in Path of the Ranger, Pedro Urvi begins tying this storyline into previous series in the land of Tremia. He does an admirable job on that score. To me, it appears that his focus on the storyline came at the cost of some of the characters. All three women become more like carbon images of each other. Egil is reduced to a one word joke, "Irrefutable." Viggo does not suffer as much as do the women. Character development focuses on Lasgol and Camu. I enjoyed this book, but I expected more from the author. I recommend this book.
I do enjoy these stories. Not so sure I like what Viggo's character has developed into. He is no longer a likable albeit tough personality and how plausible is it for someone like him to be a part of the gang? Egil always using the word "irrefutable" in this book irritated me much! Still a good read for me. Some of the incidents seem rather convenient - I guess the gang is just fated to always be in the thick of things. Norghana sometimes seems more like a town than a country!
The Panthers are sent on a mission by ship to the Kingdom of Irinel in the east escorting an ambassador on a secret mission. But they have several exciting detours along the way. The mission also has several dangerous surprises.
Viggo is an obnoxious idiot in this one, even more than usual, but at least he and Ingrid are better.
Footnote: 1) Irinel dancing sounds like a form of Irish step dancing. Very demanding.
Fave scenes: fighting the pirates, removing the moss, Nilsa testing on Viggo and the Quill searching.
I found this book to be very interesting had good action for our heroes. It's a book of two halves. Both halves are important to later book titles/missions haha. It's another slow progression for the main Snow Panthers as nothing really changed, Lasgol still not a powerful warlock, Ingrid not first ranger yet that kind of progression. It's okay its a true slow burner adventure series. Two interesting characters return. Both were welcomed by me as both characters are good and one can cause interesting drama for another character. Overall, this book has me intrigued for the next few books.
The Royal Eagles (the Panthers) are out again into new territory attempting to risk their lives to complete another King’s mission. Not just the mission but they also have personal task they are seeking answers too. The Panthers are also trying to understand what could be the future to some sort of Apocalypse prediction. Then there is this Dragon Orb which everyone is trying to gain. Book 15 is waiting for me…. I am so hooked on the Panthers with their multitude of unsolved dilemmas ;-)

The Panthers go on another great mission of intrigue which had a lot of new and interesting challenges in and of it's self which made the book interesting. Lasgol and Camu find a mentor in an Ice mage that is helping them with their powers. And the mystery of the dragon globe starts to heat up a little more. Looking forward to the next book to see what is in store for our young adventurers
I always enjoy these books sometimes I look forward to the next one. Hey give me a form of enjoyment and they help me keep my mind busy and moving since I'm an older man but I do enjoy while you're reading it it's good to read some sci-fi I recommend it for everybody
I bought The Traitor’s Son for my grand nephew for Christmas. I decided to see what it was like because I have kindle unlimited and all the books are in unlimited. I’m a grand mother and I have not been able to put them down. I’m about to start book 15 and the story line keeps me hooked and Camu keeps me laughing.
Much better than the last. The story flowed better and wasn't as repetitive or contradictory. Still needs a native English speaker to proof read it to fix the vocabulary that doesn't make sense in context. I often have to ignore what is written and let my brain make up the correct words for it to make sense.
I was a teacher of Advanced Placement English Language and Literature for twelve years, but when I offered an honest review of these stories with charming characters, Amazon accused me of impropriety and threatened to ban me, though from what, I was not informed. So I offer no review. Let my star-rating speak on its own.
While I’m willing to recommend this book I must disclose to you that I’ve read all 20 in the series. The last book is an unmitigated disaster. The author was clearly tired of the work and just gave up. You can enjoy the journey if you want but trust me when I tell you that you will be utterly devastated. I can’t get over it. I’ll never read another one of his books again. You have been warned
The book starts off a little slow and feels more like a buildup to the following books. Viggos bragging gets a little annoying after a while. Still, the book wasn‘t bad at all. The mission in Irinel is great and the following discoveries serve as a great foundation for the next book. Overall 4/5 stars
The Snow Panthers are sent east on a mission. They are to bring the princess back from the Druids. It will take luck, skill, and magic to complete their mission. They will uncover a plot, a traitor, and a wedding. Loved this book. Kept me reading and turning pages way after I should have been in bed.
I love this new installment. We finally learn who the players are going to be in the end game. There were so many things I wished would've happened, but didn't...then things that did and I never saw coming. Fascinating!
While I enjoyed the book, Egil always saying "irrefutable" started getting on my last nerve. Please Pedro, back off some on his use of that word at what seemed like every time he was in a conversation with someone.
Another great book in the series! The characters still have a great time together & make the storyline fun to experience. I’m not sure that I believed that a series could go this long & maintain my interest but it has… looking forward to the next book in the series… I’ve already preordered it!
This book was awesome the biggest problem with the series as a hole is the author is so inconsistent that few books where really bad and then this one comes out blazing again if all the books where this good I would have finished all 20 by now
14a entrega de esta fantástica saga. Este libro sí me ha gustado bastante. Poco relleno, muchas tramas argumentales y mucha acción. Ya nos metemos más en la trama principal y la verdad que tiene buena pinta. Se vienen cositas 🐉🐉
What a thrill ride! It becomes very apparent that Pedro Urvi has warrior experience. His dialog and involving backgrounds are so descriptive and on point. It becomes so easy to insert oneself into his backgrounds.
Seemed like a build up for the Panther’s next adventure. Some good action, but a lot of mysteries being resolved that initiate a much larger and very serious threat. Looking forward to the next book in the series….
The Panthers are an eclectic group that some how always manage to get caught up in the middle of trouble. It makes it fun and keeps your interst. Love the series!!
Wow! They are preparing to face the most formidable enemy yet...one that they may not have the skills needed to defeat them...kind of scary! I hope the next book does not have anyone die...
