EEEEEWWWWWW nasty fan service!

OP still isn’t interested in girls, but the fan service is to catch the eye of the reader (hard to miss when it’s front and center like that).

The battle was actually a tough one for the OP MC, but the OP won out, as was expected. He never faces any consequences for going into the negative MP. He did in the beginning, a little, but now he barely even gets a headache. What gives?!?

And if the Big Bad Org ALWAYS commits suicide rather than be caught, HOW are they recruiting members and large enough to actually DO anything?? It’s not a sustainable business model. Just saying.

2, I didn’t hate it but GROSS!!, stars.

*The MC is OP af but he is really chill and practical, has common sense and is not stupid. His OPness is does not have that overtly, speshul snowflake vibe. Well, the people around him treat him like he's godlike with his OPness but, with all his sturdy and chill personality, it's grounded and not all over the place.
*The story is also really good.
*Everything is balanced.
*No unnecessary fanservice (most of manga like this have that unnecessary, sexually-toned fanservice that always makes me think that the author is compensating for a lack of *something* in their life)
*Mini-arc stories that contribute to the major arc A+
*No harem A++

A different branch from the anime?

I started reading the series as I had fun with the anime. The anime cleverly shuffled around bits early on to tell a better story (the power of hindsight) and now the second half of this book is a completely new branch. I like new.
Look forward to the next bunch of books to see if we are going to get a totally different ending or if the anime just skipped a section.

Suffers from the same issue as most OP main characters. It’s boring that everything is so easy. Even with the dragon, it becomes a matter of just increasing his firepower several times until it dies.

2.5 - same review for the series up to and including volume 10. The are is good and the story isn't too bad, but it's also quite bland and there aren't very many characters to get to know. It's an easy read when there is a lot going on around you and you don't have to focus too much.
