Alternate Reality/Parallel Universe Romance by NYT Bestseller, Michelle M. Pillow
An outcast because of her psychic abilities, Paige doesn’t expect her people to rescue her when a zealous sect of Faerians (fairy worshippers) sacrifices her to their gods. Thrown through a fairy ring to an alternate reality, drugged on ambrosia, she is compelled to claim the first man she meets. Only when the effects wear off and she’s left with a husband expecting more than she’s willing to give, does Paige discover the true extent of what the fairies have done. Ordered by the king to marry, the warrior Sir Aidan of Fallenrock is dead set against taking a bartered bride from a parallel plane. He believes his people should be patient and wait for the gods to bless them. When the beautiful Lady Paige comes through the sacred rings, kissing him like she knows their joined fate, Aidan’s sure he’s being rewarded—until his new bride tries to back out of their marriage.

This is the third book in the Divinity Warriors series and for this reader the best so far. Why? Well the first two books much in the same vein as the authors Dragon Lords series give different accounts of the same events. It's great to read what's happening to other characters simultaneously and really opens up the world building but this particular book took a completely different path and guess what? I loved it!
Paige is a loner and has often been reviled by those on her own home world as they consider her to be cursed! Sacrificed to the "fairies" Paige is drugged and sent through a fairy ring to a completely different world where she finds herself claimed by Aiden. Aiden had prayed for a wife of his own and is jubilant that the gods have seen fit to reward him with such a lusty bride but when hours later she claims she was drugged and out of her mind Aiden is not quite sure what to think. One thing for sure though he intends to keep Paige but unfortunately in spite of the hot loving Paige seems to have other ideas!
With each book we learn a little more and I was completely blindsided by this instalment. I had absolutely no idea just how Paige would become involved with the other Divinity brides and really enjoyed this story. I was a tad confused as in previous books it's clear that Paige has a story to tell so it was wonderful to finally uncover her secrets. Such a huge culture shock for her but perhaps she coped better than previous heroines and the chemistry between Aiden and Paige was most definitely " smoking"! I can't wait to read more.

The third in the Divinity Warriors series. It is Paige's turn to find her warrior and learn what a Starian wife can and cannot do.

Sir Aidan didn't want a wife forced on him at the breeding ceremony, he was a traditionalist, he wanted one gifted to him by the fairies. LOL. And he got his way, for that is how Paige came to be on Staria, a totally different planet from her own.

Paige has been alone in the forest for most of her life because she is 'cursed'. Actually she sees visions and on Staria, that makes her an Oracle. An honoured position. But of course no one goes from cursed to oracle overnight. She has doubts.

Aidan knows she is the one. HEA!

Aidan and Paige’s story is by far my favorite of the Divinity Warriors books. I absolutely fell in love with Aidan the moment he stepped onto the page. He has always been the best Starian warrior that he can be. He has done everything in his life to honor the Starian gods. Now he impatiently waits for them to honor him with a bride from one of the fairy rings. His king has ordered him to go to Battlewar Castle to participate in the breeding ceremony. He does not want one of the otherworld brides that are being sent to them by the Divinity Corporation. He wants what his planes traditions should honor him with, a bride from the fairy ring.

Paige is from the Forestter dimension. The tribes on her plane are very superstitious. They see her differences as a curse. In an attempt to get rid of this cursed woman they offer her to the Faerian’s. They Faerian’s believe in making sacrifices. Paige is the sacrifice they have chosen to toss into the fairy ring. No one comes to Paige’s rescue. She is on her own and too outnumbered to fight them when they drug her and commence to their sacrificial beliefs.

When Aidan finds Paige naked and overly aroused in the woods he immediately knows that he has finally been blessed with a bride from the gods. Paige tells him that she came to be there through a fairy ring, so he just knows he is not mistaken. The drugs that were forced upon Paige have multiples effects on her, one is an aroused euphoria. She welcomes all of Aidan’s advances. There problems arise when the drugs wear off and Paige is saddled with a husband who does not understand her customs and she finds that his customs are a little too domineering for her tastes.

This installment in the Divinity Warriors series actually begins chronologically before the first two books. Readers are over half way through Keeping Paige before they find Paige in the cell at Battlewar with Lilith, Jayne, and Karre. I did not get the sci fi feel with this book as much as the others. Paige’s dimension has a fantasy historical feel to it just as Staria does. There are still dimension jumps, but they are not done through the technological advances as with the previous two books. I do want to point out that each of the books works as a stand-alone, so readers can dive into this series beginning with any book.

I liked this one in this series, too. I like how feisty Paige is, but she doesn't verge into spoiled brat territory. Sir Aiden is passionate and, God bless him, patient and forgiving. I did pity her for having to live with her MIL, though. I did that once. It was awful.

Also...

The Man Fairy is delusional 5 stars

And so are you if you think that this book (or any other in this series / or any other book by Michelle) would not be worth reading! I love that even though this is the third book in the series and it takes place at the same time as the other books, it is a completely fresh & unique story that has its own “mysteries”, misunderstandings, swoon worthy heroes, strong (or strong willed) gals, romance, hot sex, HEA and everything else you have come to love about Michelle’s writing. You can’t help falling for poor sweet Sir Aidan, sympathizing and understanding what poor Paige has been through, in fact there were so many moments that I just wanted to give the poor gal a hug! Either that or a smack upside the head! LOL I keep saying this but I am sure that THIS is my favorite book in the series! I like that it really just focused on Aidan & Paige, that there was no Divinity Corp. deception, no true adjustment for Paige in the sense that Lilith & Jayne went through being from more advanced civilizations. I found this story to be a LOT hotter, sexier and more sigh-worthy! I mean come on! Who would not love to have an Aidan of their own!?!?!?! I found this story to be so addictive that I pretty much read it all in one go! I couldn’t wait to find out how…or if they…or what was going to happen when…ok! OK!!! You truly do need to read this book to find out for yourself what happens! Trust me, it is much more enjoyable that way! I should know better by now, but Michelle’s books STILL never cease to amaze me, to entertain me as well as grab AND hold my attention from start to finish (and sometimes even longer!) She truly has that very special gift that not all authors are “lucky” enough to have! You know that one I mean. That rare talent that has you pulled in right from the start and doesn’t let you go even when you have finished the book! In fact the only way to be “released” is to start another one of Michelle’s books so you can lose yourself in yet one more (of many) fantastic stories. Michelle showcases this talent with each and every single one of her books! I have read quite a few and have been entranced by every single one. She seems to have come by this gift quite naturally because I have never had one book that started off slow, or had parts that dragged out or even endings that I was disappointed with. Well other than the ending coming too soon for my liking! LOL All in all, this is another great book in an equally great series!

I was given this book to read and give a honest review. I must say Michelle M. Pillow is one of my favorite authors to read I have enjoyed reading her series. Ms. Pillow is a very talented writer her description of her characters are so fantastic she makes them come to life. She written another winning book in this series

Keeping Paige the third book of Divinity Warriors series: Paige is a Fiesty red head just as her hair represent she has a temper. Paige was first introduced in book one and two even then she was a little hot head. Paige is a Forrester in the dimension of the Fairies of the great forest. Where Paige is from everyone considers her family curse because they get visions of the future, so she lives alone away from the people in the forest. Paige is kidnapped by the fairies then drugged and pushed into the fairie ring. Paige first thinks she is in Fairy realm in the spring time, but as she continue to look around she feels a healthy dose of lust. The drug is also making Paige have hallucinations she is thinking everything is beautiful even a poison green spider. Aiden shouts to her that the spider is poison and she thinks he is a prince that's here to save her.

Aidan is a Warrior and he believes that the fates will give him his wife. Aidan is visiting his best friend and his prengant wife and little girl. As Aidan is visiting he allows Peeter daughter to braid as the little girl called it "pretty up his hair " but he adores the little girl so it's ok. Aidan takes his leave from his friend. As he is riding home he thinks that he doesn't want to go to the breeding ceremony but his King wants him to be happy and demands he attend, but Aidan is stubborn because he's determine he will be given a wife from the fairie ring.

Paige is uncomfortable and hates all of the changes in her life, there are times she doesn’t understand the world she has been brought too. Paige feels that Aidan is her salvation but she try's to run away from him. Aidan feels afraid that the way he first claimed Paige has angered the gods and they are punishing him for it and he will be alone forever. They are clearly meant for each another, but true love is never without its twists and turns in life.

“Keeping Paige,” is Michelle M. Pillow’s third book in her Divinity Warriors series, and is my favorite of the series! With each book, I have really enjoyed learning more about the Divinity Corp and the vast number of parallel universes that are being explored.
Paige is from a plane whose people live in the forest, and believe in fairies. Paige is kidnapped, drugged, and thrown to another universe through a fairy ring by the crazy fairies in her world. Lucky Paige, she lands in the forest near Sir Aidan’s home and Aidan can’t believe his luck when he finds Paige. He doesn’t like the idea of taking a wife from the other worlders Divinity is sending, and he is thankful that his beautiful bride came to him from a fairy ring, he knows he is blessed.
When Paige’s drug wears off she is really apprehensive about her new world. She has the sight and has been called “cursed” in her other world and lonely because of her visions. Aidan is a typical Starian warrior, he claims her, wants her, so he believes that she is his. Paige isn’t so sure, she isn’t sure she wants Aidan for a husband, but she definitely knows she wants him for lots of hot sex!
I liked that we got to see Paige and Aidan before she was in the cage with the other ladies in Battlewar Castle. Seeing the same scene from her view was very different than what the other ladies were going through. Paige is a heroine that a reader can really like and it was a joy to read about her and Aidan. This book had a lot of really hot love scenes in it.
I absolutely want to read the next one in this series and I really hope we get more stories about other Starian warriors that need brides.

Fairies...malicious, troublesome, pesky, tricky and dangerous. It was the fairies that sent Paige through the fairy ring after she was captured by her people, who did not value her auguries.

It was Fairies that gave her the drought that caused her to heat up from the inside out, which in turn made her pounce on the first male that happened her way. But it wasn't the fairies that warmed her heart and her bed from that moment onward.

Enter Aiden. Hot, warm-blooded warrior that has been waiting for a woman to come to him from the Gods, albeit through the fairy rings. Can anyone say a match made in heaven?

I love that Michelle creates a wonderful world full of men who just simply want a woman of their own to love and care for, AND she does this all with light and humorous slant that keeps you smiling all day. A fun and sassy read!

I love the Divinity Warriors and this was no exception. Aidan and Paige had me hooked from the start.

Aidan has been loyal to the Starian gods and wants them to return his loyalty with a bride from the fairy rings. Paige comes from the Forestter dimension which is a very superstitious bunch and they decide to sacrifice her. Aidan finds her in the woods and she is sexually aroused because of the drugs the fairies have given her. AIdan just knows the gods have answered his prayers but once the drugs wear off we have a whole different side of Paige emerge.

Loved watching how Aidan and Paige interacted. The book is full of surprises that I didn't see coming. I highly recommend this book to fantasy lovers everywhere.

I was given an ARC of this boo for an honest review.

Keeping Paige should be book 1

We get to learn what happens to Paige after the girls all meet in the cell. Reading what they were doing before their capture and seeing each character through to their happy after appeals to me. This one has heart and made my heart smile. Even though I feel this should be book1 as Paige was the first to appear on scene, Lilith’s book has more detail and information into this warrior dimension. The angst felt about Sir Aiden and Paige is long overdue to be told. I enjoy the spunk from each lady and I have enjoyed their stories to find love.

Another great book in this series! Paige is a strong female who was forced into a faerie ring to become a wife to a warrior. She landed in front of Sir Aiden and he claimed her as his gift from the Gods. Paige attempted to get away to go back to her life and failed. They go through their trials and tribulations but end up in love and get their happily ever after.

Great story

I really liked Paige and Aidens story. They had a connection from the start even with a bit of fairy juice to get the juices flowing. Financing a strong female is harder than Aiden thought but the reward is everything.

"You know you were meant for me. The gods sent you to me."

Keeping Paige is very different than the prior two books in the series and based on the blurb I read about book two, this one is unique. Paige is not from a world that knows technology nor does she have any idea who or what Divinity is. She wasn't brought to Staria by Divinity Corporation but was instead pushed into a fairy circle by people in her own dimension who were afraid of her psychic gift.

I really liked Paige best of all the heroines. Alone in her own world, she's afraid to trust her new life can truly bring her happiness yet she reminds herself often her old life really wasn't that great.

Aidan was a treat. By far the most romantic warrior, even though he doesn't realize he is, he clearly adores his new wife from the start. I love how he doesn't automatically believe the worst of her no matter what she does and never pretends she's less than a true gift.

I liked the plot much more as well. Paige doesn't spend most of the book trying to escape or complain about how unhappy she is with him. More than once she finds herself considering that a life in Staria might be right for her. This is the most romantic book in the series so far and also has the most open door scenes. This is definitely an adult story and not for anyone who might be offended by the explicitness of it.

Karre is next and I can't wait! I have a feeling the story between her and Vidar is going to be amazing, especially based on the brief glimpses we saw between them in the other books, specifically when Lilith and Sorin found her tied up and their first encounter at the Breeding Ceremony. I know in my heart it's going to be a wild ride!

This is an interesting mash-up of alternative reality, paranormal and fantasy romance, and a dash of science fiction, all in a highly erotic framework. “Keeping Paige” is the third in a series, although it works pretty well as a standalone story. A little of the overall context is missing as we get only a vague notion of the Divinity Corporation’s role in providing brides for the world of Staria, and our heroine Paige seems to arrive there via a separate transport mechanism.

Right from the start, we see that Aidan and Paige are literally from different worlds, with vastly different expectations about love, marriage, and courtship. As one would expect, this leads to various misunderstandings (which might have been avoided if the couple had tried talking to each other). Because the lovers are inexperienced in communicating their feelings, they have trouble resolving their differences despite their mutual and intense attraction to each other.

At various points, I found the Starian society disturbing in its treatment of women primarily as homemakers and baby-making vessels for their warrior husbands. Paige has to work through these issues for herself, too, although in the end, she makes Aidan accept the importance of love in their relationship. She gets him to realize that without the freedom to choose her own destiny and accept him willingly as her husband, their marriage will be a failure.

The author does a good job of conveying the characters’ personalities and emotional turmoil as they struggle toward their HEA.

This is the second book I’ve read in the series (Lilith Enraptured #1). This book starts several days or weeks earlier in time than book #1 and then overlaps for a scene where the women are all held in a cell awaiting the breeding ceremony.

For Paige she is praying despite her actions Aidan will claim her. After being sacrificed in her home world/dimension, she is sent through a fairy ring drugged on Ambrosia. She arrives in Staria naked and once seeing big, strong Aidan is extremely aroused. These two have entirely different expectations and cultures causing misunderstandings and disagreements that need to be worked through.

Paige is overwhelmed and confused by her desire for Aidan, and unsure how to express what she wants. Her instincts have her fighting against his claiming her as his wife because he doesn’t know her. Aidan misunderstands what she is saying and thinks she is telling him she doesn’t want him.

The storyline is interesting and the world building is descriptive. The customs and beliefs of the Starian people are very male-centric, men take care of and protect the delicate women; however, the scarcity of women is an issue that has been solved by some women taking several husbands. Aidan is emphatic that Paige will only have one husband - him.

I’m very intrigued by the spitfire Karre and her story that is next in the series. At the breeding ceremony she taunts the warriors with a statement that she’s in a room full of warriors and none of them can handle her. Her taunt triggers one to respond with ‘mine’. This one should be a feisty journey!

I'm 2/3rds of the way through the audiobook and I really think this is going to be a DNF for me. At least for now. I may come back later and try to finish it but I just haven't liked anything about this book tbh.

I don't like Paige or how she just gives in to sex constantly (did I mention she was a virgin before being drugged and having sex with the H?). She doesn't want to be 'claimed' as a wife and be a brood mare to the H, Aidan, but she sticks around and has unprotected sex with him multiple times, over and over.... like? She thinks about running away to live on her own in the woods, as she was capable of doing in her own world/realm and yet never follows through! Until about 2/3rds of the way into the book that is, where she sees the H with another woman (the H's childhood friend's pregnant wife) and assumes he has another woman. What does she do? Runs away and masturbates while thinking about him. I don't know about you but I certainly wouldn't run off to go immediately flick my bean to a man who I thought was lying to me about having a second family...

Just ridiculous story telling at this point and no romance at all. It's just pure sex and lust with no getting to know each other or anything interesting happening.

4hrs 5mins into 6hrs 10mins audiobook.

Aidan wants his mate to be given to him by the faeries, not the Divinty Corporation, so he is not too surprised when Paige comes to him just that way. Of course, that doesn't mean she is going to look at it from his point of view. Oh, no. Paige does not at all appreciate the Faerians who took her senses with fairy ambrosia or the Faeries who dropped her into another world through a fairy ring. She does sort of like the sexy man who found her in the woods and claimed her - or at least she does until the fairy high wears off and she discovers she is stuck in a strange world with a man determined to protect her. She doesn't need protecting, but it seems her Seer power is also appreciated here instead of being considered a curse. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to stay with Aidan, until she sees him with another woman. Unfortunately, running around in Staria alone is really not safe especially not if the Caniba find you...

“Paige instantly chose to walk in the direction of freedom…”

Paige has lived her life as an outcast, burdened with a curse she doesn’t want any more than those around her do. When she’s flung into a world where her curse is viewed as a blessing, people listen to her instead of avoiding her, and a charming knight named Aidan seems willing to accept her as she is, her heart falls back on old habits, and soon, so do her feet.

This done in one book gives a lot of world building for Staria, spending time in a village and giving a glimpse of the culture and daily life, where the previous two books have focused on the war, and larger scale issues for this world.

So often miscommunications are a key to the unfolding drama of stories, so I appreciated how believable and relatable the key ones were here. Paige is carrying with her the baggage of her past experiences, and it influences how she sees this world, what she expects, and ultimately how she reacts.

I was gifted with a copy of Keeping Paige and chose to share my thoughts.

There’s good and bad. It’s an steamy adult read so the instant coupling isn’t a surprise. I actually liked the beginning a lot. She wasn’t abducted by Serenity and it was a more naturally paranormal way to get there. I loved that she landed in a land she didn’t find drastically different and get uniqueness that had her shunned was welcomed. What I didn’t enjoy was it’s the same basic plot once guy get Into the meet of it. She runs away and gets captured then her new husband saves her. I also don’t understand the abusive guy that helped bring her back. Why did her hubs leave her? Why was his crappiness never addressed because the one time she brings it up it’s brushed under the rug. It just seemed to be put in there to put in the f them and suck them line and just to call her a whore. If the basic plot had been different or even the man put in his place by an angry mate I probably would have given this listen more stars.

The Faerians took Paige and offered her thru the Portal to the fairies, naked, drugged and weaponless. On Staria, there is a great lack of women. Divinity Corporation trades women for its special blue water. It is Aiden’s turn to see if his wife is amongst the newest crop of traded women. His friend’s Peeter’s daughter lives to play with his hair, braiding it and putting ribbons and flowers etc into it. She is adorable and calls his Dandan.

Aidan has prayed that the fairies would bring him a true mate not a bartered one and his wish has come true. Paige’s grandmother had come thru a Portal and her father and now Paige were ‘cursed’.

Misunderstandings abound due to culture clash. She gets into a lot of trouble. I enjoyed this book because of the culture clash, explanations etc. this author was already on my to be read list.

Aidan is ordered by the King to attend the annual Breeding Ceremony. He doesn’t want a wife brought by the Divinity Corporation. He wants one from the traditional way of being blessed by a wife from the fairy ring. He is determined by his honor to wait until he is blessed by the fairy ring! Be careful what you wish for Aidan!

Paige has always been different from her people in the Forestter Plane. She is considered to be cursed, so who would make a better sacrifice than Paige? She is drugged and thrown through the fairy ring. Lost in the forest, naked and drugged, Paige is discovered by Aidan. At first he thinks Paige is the answer to his prayers, until the drugs wear off and the real Paige emerges!

Now married by their laws these two must find some way to co-exist before they kill each other. A delightful story!.

This is my favorite Divinity Warriors story (so far). Paige's story is so different from Lilith's or Jayne's. With faeries, oracles, a warrior husband raised to have none of the softer emotions, and a very opinionated mother-in-law, this story just flew by. I loved that Paige ended up in the absolute perfect place (you have to read this story to understand just how perfect it is). It was amazing how the author dovetailed this story into the narrative that started with Lilith Enraptured. I am glad we get to find out what happened between Paige and Edward (told at the beginning of Lilith Enraptured) and now that I know, i think he needs to meet Sorceress Magda. Aidan, while a bit hard headed about women, was raised in the best environment that complimented Paige's unique charteristic and made him the best match for her. I am definitely putting this on my re-read list.

I am impressed by how different Michelle M. Pillow is able to make each of these books that are all on the same theme. She has also woven the various stories together so that we get glimpses of the characters from the other books. Both of these aren’t as easy as they might seem and I have read many series where the stories are almost copies of each other. Those are boring for me. Yes Ms. Pillow has a certain type of story that she writes with big strong heroes and feisty heroines but that’s not a bad thing if you like this kind of story which I do when I’m in the mood for it. I know that I can pick up any of her books and enjoy it. I enjoyed this one but I would have liked it if Paige had been able to show off her hunting skills. Maybe she will in a future book?.

This is the third story in the "Divinity Warriors" series. It is a stand alone read with connected characters. I really like the mystery, suspense and action in this story. The dialogue and humor in this story is great! I listed to the audiobook of this story and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The narrator did a great job getting the emotions, chemistry and passion in the characters. The story takes place in an alternate universe that reminds me of medieval times. This story is about Paige and Aidan. He has no wish to have a bride forced on him but the king urges him too. Paige is drugged and thrown into another time zone. The battle between them is interesting, intriguing and entertaining. These two are combustible together.

Entertaining fantasy story/ steamy fairy tale. A quick and smooth read. Paige finds herself in a parallel world, after being sacrificed by a fairy worshippers sect .She is found by Aidan who considers her his gift from fate and claims her as his bride. Paige is used to being on her own and taking care of herself in her world and isn't sure how to feel about his protective attitude. The world she comes from herself isn't that ideal either, but will she learn to live in his war driven one?
A stubborn heroine, a swoonworthy hero and a harsh world in which where there is always war, a shortage of woman, and sadly many warvictims.

This was a great story and the third book in the divinity Warrior series. It’s Aidan and Paige’s story and I love their story. Paige is used to being on her own and fending for herself. She’s an outcast from her people and they think she’s cursed when she’s taken by fairy worshipers and thrown into a ring she ends up in a different dimension. When she is found by certain she’s bound nearly naked and drugged he mistakenly thinks she’s the bride the gods have chosen and sent him. It’s a wonderful story that I highly recommend. They have their twists and turns along the way and the book is full of surprises and I highly recommend it.
