As a Watcher, a guardian warrior of the Draconi, Enar has never fit in with his kind. When he sees Lily--the ideal Watcher's woman--he instantly claims her, believing she will bring him the acceptance he craves. Falling in love with her was not part of his plan. As her town's outcast, Lily wants nothing more than to escape. When Enar locks a necklace around her throat and declares she belongs to him, she jumps at the chance to leave. Her excitement soon becomes trepidation when Enar won't tell her what to expect in his world. But even her worry can't overcome her growing attraction to him. Soon Lily learns what life as a Watcher's claim entails, and refuses to submit. To keep Lily, Enar must turn his back on everything he thought he wanted. Will he choose his people? Or the other half of his soul?

I'm surprised at how blank the information for this book is. The book about Keara -who is Lily's best friend- has a lot more info. [Magical Lover
So despite the fact that no one seems to know of this book, I very much enjoyed it. Not the best fantasy book I've read or anything, but I read it all in one go and look forward to reading the other book.
I have to say that I enjoyed knowing the created world in this paranormal story. The dragon myths, humans, and the hierarchy in the created world is a perfect environment for intrigue of all kinds. It is a volatile world where anything can happen and with the right characters will be a hit. It is a world I would have love visiting again. Unfortunately, the main characters in this story did not measure up. Although they started likable and lovable, they ended up a perfect example of passivity - and forgettable characters. The hero, with all his rank and characteristics as a seasoned warrior would have continue to entertain but for some reason he ended up sounding just like teenage boy wanting his father's and peers' approval. I am not saying...come to think of it, that's his main goal in life and he used the heroine, his rank, and even the safety of his abused/battered mother to achieve that goal. He is a passive brat that never cared for anyone else until his favorite toy/lover - the heroine - is taken from him. Then he throw tantrum and took action - which is good for the plot of the story. The heroine is equally lovable in the beginning. I can totally sympathize with her tragic situation and was rooting for her success. Unfortunately she ended up lacking because for all the emotional abuse, and betrayal she took from the hero, she went back to him anyway. *Spoiler* The betrayal being that the hero claimed her by tying a necklace to her neck that cannot be removed only because he can use her to better his standing before his fellow warrior and to hopefully gain his father's approval. *spoiler ends* Her reason: she love him despite his abuse and betrayal. Doormat alarm anyone? The secondary characters however are remarkable. I would have prefer them to be the main character than these two. Overall, the book has a great world with weak, forgettable characters which in the end will make this book forgettable.
I really needed a bubble-gum read. You know, the type of book that requires little thought while providing a quick-paced, fun read. Lucky for me, this book provided exactly that. Thank you, Kindle freebies!

Lily has been feeling the effects of her townspeople since her parents died. She has always felt the effects of their superstition and it just got worse for her friend and her when they are left to themselves. They have to do what they can in order to survive. Lily is pale and the only color is her eyes and lips and her friend is the opposite. She is really surprised when she goes to save her friend and meets a man named Enar. All of a sudden he says she is his and puts a necklace that she can’t remove around her neck.
Enar has feelings for Lily. One’s he doesn’t understand and he wonders why he is different than the other watchers, especially his father. He knows that when Lily finds out her fate she will no longer like him. She will hate him just like his mom hates his dad and all of the other women of the watchers. They have a huge connection and Enar has been after his friend for his feelings and the way he cares for his mate. He is starting to feel the same way a Draconia feels for their mates but there is no way since he is a watcher.
In this book we get to see how Lily and Enar get together. We saw a little bit in the first book. This book was pretty exciting and adventurous. There are many secrets that are revealed and I wanted more. I was wanting to know if there will be another book in this series or if these are the only two. I enjoyed the way the author wrote this book and the characters were very realistic. I know that there really aren’t any dragons but if makes you wish that they were real. I would love to see one in real life. I would say that I could tell how Lily was feeling when she was riding on the dragon. I would be feeling the same way. I would be ok with sitting on one.
I will be looking for more books by this author. I was really in a fantasy land when I read this book. It has a lot of excitement. I will be living in this fairytale for awhile.
This book was very repetitive. I am not a hige fan of fantasy, but the ones I do read usually turn out great. This one however was just blah. It wasn't terrible, it just wwsnt great, and honestly it bordered on good. It had everything it should hqve, great characters, good romance, enough mystery to keep you guessing, but it lacked severley in answers. I mean, are they able to change the watchers treatment of women? Who is the rogue draconian and why does he want revenge? Is Aryana correct in her guess? What happened to the watchers wanting to overthrow the draconians? What becomes of Enar's father...what about his mother? There is all this build up, and them nothing happens....dud.
Bof, a nice read, but nothing special. It is a fantasy tale of witches, dragons and magic. In my view, the book was full of descriptions that were too long and I found them quite boring. I didn't really like the characters either. On top of that, the story's ending could have been better! Who is the "bad" guy and what really happened with the captured Draconi? There are a lot of loose ends in this story, and I guess we have to wait until the next book in the series comes out. I, however, will definitely not read this book again nor the other books of the series!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
was a good read, unfortunately i think its required that the first book be read because Warrior Lover was very confusing on several occasions there was also a lot of missing information i felt connected to the first book that i wasn't filled in on because it wasn't read. despite that i still felt it was a good story with likable characters and worth the read.
Blah. Very repetitive as in crisis, love scene, crisis, love scene... Seems like there was always some magic to fix whatever problem they faced and there were too many loose ends left over when the story abruptly ended.
