Now in her fifteen-year-old body, Claire has returned to Paffuto, this time as an actual noblewoman with special treatment, courtesy of her ex-fiancé Prince Asbert. She's reunited with Prince Vik, Lui, and the others, but she's forced to keep the secrets of their former lives from them. When it's revealed that Prince Vik has an older brother in this timeline, Claire begins to wonder what happened in the year before she met him originally...
Could his brother have been banished? Is Prince Vik in danger? What could he have been hiding from her, even when they were engaged?
Shortie review for Vol.2 to 5: The series continues to be fun, I really liked seeing Vik and Claire get closer and closer and with the help of some people finally take that step. I did feel that things were a tad odd at times, I mean, Claire is a governess/nanny but you barely see her do anything and she is mostly away, but I did like the moments we did see her with the girl she is teaching. There are tons of fun magic moments, I loved that Claire was honest and hardworking, we see that Charlotte is a real mess, and there is a big shock which leads to a new arc with the help of those flashbacks (which apparently aren't that much of a flashback, I am curious to see what they really are and what it means). I wasn't really a fan of the new bit, because I have read too many books like this and I know butterfly effect, if you change one thing something else may happen, not to mention THAT character was around as well. I wonder though if Liu knows. Oh, and dear Claire, I like you, you are strong and awesome character with a fab personality, but your sister (step) is just a fucking evil mastermind. I don't think you can fix it. Though maybe you can make it so that she isn't too bad, I mean, holy crap that scene before the new arc. And I still love the art! I am curious how this one will go and if everyone will get a happy ending (or at least the characters I care about, haha).
Of course Lydia is close friends with Vik, never mind that it was never mentioned once in their previous life, nor did they ever interact 🤦🏻♀️ Come on, author. You don’t have to give a reason for Lydia to become her friend.
As usual, filled with holes and convenient events. Albert was NOT in love with Charlotte in this timeline, nor are they a good match at this point. That came about after a lot of manipulation. Also don’t remember the Meade’s losing their title in the other timeline, but apparently Dion remembers none of it. I’m not sure how he knows anything if that’s true, but it doesn’t make sense anyhow. He was only knocked out for a week, but more time than that passed before she regressed them. And when exactly did Claire find out that Charlotte was using brainwashing on everyone? Kinda weird that she had zero friends of her own, and even the one friend she had immediately avoided her after finding out her magic was “weak.”
Then there’s Vick’s brother. It said Vik is the kings only son, but this brother is the son of a concubine the king gave to someone else. This is the first I’ve heard of concubines, but ok. Doesn’t that mean he’s not the king’s son?? WTF is this, and why do nobles support him?
This series has some unique characteristics that could be interesting, but it is not written well at all. It is very distracting to come across so much poor logic.

It's always interesting to see where the manga volumes will end when you've read the light novels. This volume ended on one of the funniest options they could have gone with for this round. Just delightful!
Reading these volumes so spaced out is doing this series no favors, especially now that I have to remember two different timelines. 😅 But it’s still enjoyable overall. Love it when a heroine accidentally gets brainwashing powers hahaha
