***sigh*** this was so great! i can't believe what a tease this is though! i love that Alyson Noel did Damen's story, but seriously...12 pages?! are you kidding me?!
i fell in love with evermore but was so let down with the other books in the series...this short story was a total breath of fresh air!
What a tease!!! Alyson Noel you can't just go about writing one silly little short story about how Damen and Ever met. That's just not right. My life would be complete if you made an entire new series from his point of view... oh my god and every time Ever died in each of her lives. That would be the best series I have ever read in my life and I am sure my fellow Immortals fans would agree! I was so sad after finishing the series like how am I supposed to read six books and get on with my life when they're over? Uh, no. So you should definitely make a new series. It doesn't even have to have anything to do with the current one and how he saved her from the car accident. That would just be so interesting to see everything that happened in all of her previous lives.
OH MY GOD!!!!! MY WISH CAME TRUE!! A story from Damen's POV!! The story happens in Paris in 1608. Damen is a rich guy who goes to a party he is invited and there he meets Evelin (our beloved Ever). Evelin is a waitress there and she wants to take Damen's plate. When Damen sees her and touches her he feels something, sort of what Ever felt at Evermore when she met him for the first time. I loved this insight to Damem's head and helped me to see more about the way he thinks, how he feels about his relationship with Drina and Ever and we saw the first time they met so what can I say?
It's good to see Damen's point of view because sometimes while i was reading the immortals i didn't quite believe in his love for Ever. I finally get to read his first meeting with Ever when he was immortal and understand a bit better his relationship with Drina and why it didn't work out. Although he had really strong feeling for Ever or Evaline as her name was when he first met her he decided way too fast that he wanted to give her the elixir i must say.
Evermore was one of the first ebooks I ever downloaded on my Nook many years ago... I still haven't read it! So I thought it would be nice to dip my toes in with this novella from Alyson Noel. I gotta say Eternal Flame is a very enjoyable read! I definitely would like to continue reading the series now!
Eternal Flame es un relato corto acerca de la primera vez que Damen vio a Ever.
A ver, no estuvo mal.

It seems a little silly marking this as ‘read’ given that it is a 13 page scene, but if Goodread lets me add it to my shelf, I am going to do it. Got to bump up those ‘read’ numbers so I can add more to be ‘to be read’ list. This story is the first chance meeting between the individual who will be Ever in the main The Immortals Series, and Damen from Damen’s point of view. Now, I read the first novel in this series before I had a Goodread account, but it is burned into my brain for how much rage it induced in me. However, I am going to give it another chance because, well, I want to move the series into the ‘read’ side of my spread sheet. I am not going to rate this, again it is only 13 pages, but watch this space for the rest of my thoughts on the series.
This book is the prequel of The Immortals series, no wonder it's really short. The whole story is in Damen's(the male main character) point of view and it tells us about his past and how he had met Ever(Evelin) long before they were classmates in school in book 1, Evermore. I can only interpret their relationship later in book 1 "coincidentally" as their destiny. Or fate. Or something meant to be. It well explained their history long time ago and how magically they would come across each other in the future. Since I just finished the Covenant series, there's this sudden feeling of déjà vu when reading the part in the end. Though they're in different situations and different settings. Well, I won't really recommend this book because I think the emotion among characters isn't strong enough, though it's just the very beginning of the story. I was expecting something more dramatic, impressive, or at least something interesting enough to make me want to keep reading the series. Unfortunately, I didn't have that impulse on turning pages after pages after finishing this novella.
Damen's Immortal Dilemma Damen, an immortal, feels restless and burdened by his eternal life and the need to constantly move to avoid suspicion. He escapes from a relationship with Drina, whom he saved centuries ago but who has become greedy and demanding.
Encounter at a Paris Party In 1608, while attending a party in Paris, Damen contemplates his life and the prospect of moving on. However, he is captivated by a servant girl named Evaline, who seems to embody everything he has been searching for.
New Purpose Believing Evaline to be his destiny and the reason for his existence, Damen resolves to stay. He plans to get to know her, earn her trust, and eventually offer her the elixir of life, making her immortal like himself.

This is a VERY short story ... and honestly it tells nothing about Damen or his life before the first book.
This is not published and available in stores ... you have to send an email to the publisher and they email the story back to you.
Personally I don't like to read things online, so I printed it out ... and I kinda wish I hadn't tho, because it wasn't worth the ink.
The actual story is only 8 pages long... and that's double spaced. I was really looking forward to some insight on Damen's past, but it just wasn't there.

It was really good but I wish it was longer! She should really make a book out of it. I love how he was lost and the moment he saw her he knew he found what he was looking for. I hated that it was so short it left me dangling saying "wha.....that's it??" But i loved it anyway and hope that maybe she will add on to it?? ;)lol
In Evermore I already thought the book was in love with super special great at everything Damen. Turns out if you put out a short from his POV he's actually totally in love with himself and how great he is at everything.
He's also super shallow but I imagine the narrative wants us to find all that romantic and sweet.
Yes, it is in fact Damen's point of view of when the first time he layes eyes on Ever. It's was a great teaser short story ,but I would love to read more of his point of view. I'm hoping Alyson Noel will continue this story.
I just found this on the internet, It was good, really good it was nice to read Damens perspective. this short story could be a five star novel, the author just has to make it into a book. But is was still really good.
Although it was a very small story, reading it was a very nice experience. Damien and Evaline... That's when everything started, eh? Explains some things, though.
A fan of The Bangles, I knew the music and who was in the group but had no idea of their formation, evolution or the struggles with misogynistic journalists, music producers or contemporary bands. I enjoyed the writing style, and the recounting of their story by the various band members. The focus is clearly on their formation and early success, with song by song details of the first couple of albums. I was disappointed that it abruptly ended with the original break up of the band in 1989. There is just two pages about their two reunion albums, subsequent tours, band member changes, and nothing about what the band members were doing between 1989 and their comeback album in 2003. Still for a look at the early formation of the band this is highly recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley and Da Capo for an advanced reader copy.
There are around 36 sonnets which covers themes like Love ,beauty care products, sentiment, nursery I had always wanted, radio exercises, cost of satisfaction, night jigsaw puzzle, moms love, interminable flares.
It's elusive a book that contacts different parts of human existence and society, that too a verse book. Unceasing Flames by Dr. Dipti Choudhary is one such uncommon book.
The book begins with an exceptionally delightful sonnet blossoms and finishes with Eternal Flame that is additionally title of this assortment.
The style is basic and direct. An intriguing read which shouldn't be missed.
Easily a five star! I want more and more and more. The author and these characters get me every time! Who doesn't want to feel like this. Who doesn't want to love like this. This series will always remain one of my favorites. I know it's an older series but I can only hope one day she brings it back. A mini series, prequel, sequel, something. I would love to know how their life goes together. Going on adventures, loving each other so deeply, having a family, and growing old together, finally. The Immortals will always have a big space in my heart.
