How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
The difficult part of writing LOW MAN was that it started in my mind as a horror novel, but it began to pull from many genres as it progressed. I’ve written crime, horror, suspense and thriller fiction, so I had to continually use my experience in the different genres and blend them in such a way that the story smoothly transitioned from one genre to another. In the end I think the reader will determine for him or herself what genre LOW MAN is, but I don’t believe it fits in any typical classification of genre. Different readers have said it is horror, Christian literature, dark suspense, and there are even those that see it as a crime novel. I think it’s all of those and more. It is a simple story of one man’s will to save his family.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Learn from as many people and places as you can. Understand that writing is hard and takes time to master.

TJ Vargo is an author from the rustbelt, hard-luck town of Mansfield, Ohio. What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wrote LOW MAN to entertain readers. I wanted readers to identify with the main character as he tries to save his marriage and his family. My intent was to ratchet up the stakes as Benny, the main character, faces down one terrible situation after another until he finally faces the ultimate challenge of walking through Hell to save himself and his family.
