Armelle’s grandfather, Maurice, was the first director to receive the Oscar for Best Foreign Movie by inspiring his audience. Like him, Armelle wants to bring through ReConnected, a message of hope needed by so many today.

She arrived in L.A in 1995, with just one suitcase in hand thinking Hollywood was waiting for her. It wasn’t, so she used her entrepreneurial skills to make a living while pursuing her passion for writing & filmmaking.

Michelle Tirella

Michelle moved to California from Boston in 1995.

She lives in Alameda with her husband and their three children. She loves to dance, compulsively organize, and watch Sci-fi movies.

Michelle has been writing short stories and poetry since she was a teenager. Her poetry and short stories often reflect how deeply she feels about love, family and betrayal.

Sylvia Plath, and Anne Sexton are two of Michelle’s favorite poets. She could read their work over and over.

She wants to send the message to all readers, that we all have the strength to overcome any of life’s painful obstacles.

ReConnected is her first screenplay, inspired by her writing partner and closest friend Armelle.

Michelle has her Master’s Degree in Education, and when not writing she works as a Director of Educational Services, providing support, and professional development to teachers and directors and consultation for parents.
