What inspires you to write?
Everything around me inspires me, really. But I love to just write because it helps me to get out my emotions and work through them.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process is very strange. I most like working late at night and that is when I formulate my story I am working on. I usually will sit down and stare at the blank screen and usually the words will just flow through me.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
As I work on the stories and get deeper into them I tend to listen to what i think my characters would want. My story usually changes with every chapter I write by how I imagine the characters would react to what happened in the previous chapter.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just keep writing! I have no outline I follow or set of rules I go by I just write what I feel and go back later to review if any of it is any good. Remember the best things come from mistakes we make.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Well, I decided to go through Create Space, which is a self publisher site, mainly because I had no real money to get an agent and try to sell to mainstream publishers so I went the easier but harder route. It’s easy because you upload your book and publish, harder because you have to do all the marketing and promotion yourself.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it is slowly moving away from mainstream publishing and more indie publishing. People are getting tired of having to run a gauntlet just to prove they are worthy of being published, its just so easy and worth the work to do it yourself.
What genres do you write?
Fiction/YoungAdult/Horror
What formats are your books in?
Both eBook and Print
