Music to Write to: You Can Have it All by Yo La Tengo

I can’t speak for other writers, but for me, music a huge part of the process. Sometimes finding the right song will determine whether or not I’m able to sit down and actually start writing. Every once in awhile I’m able to write in silence, but mostly I need some musical accompaniment. So I figured I’d share some of what I’m listening to with all of you.

First pick is from a band I recently discovered but the rest of the world had known about for decades. It’s a cover of George McCrae’s song of the same title, but I prefer the peaceful, harmonious feel of the Yo La Tengo version. Enjoy!
