Mostly I am putting this here so I don’t lose it or forget about it. I really like DFW, David Foster Wallace not Dallas/Ft. Worth, although that is nice too. One of the gifts of unrelenting depression, yes, I believe there are gifts from anything even the miserable stuff, is the un-sentimentality of the way you see things. DFW saw beauty even if it wasn’t romantic. If you watch expect to have tears in your eyes at the end.
