I am a San Francisco Bay Area resident, writer and food lover. I have been cooking, teaching, writing and eating great food for, well, a very VERY long time. I've written two heart-healthy cookbooks with John Schroeder, M.D., cardiologist at Stanford University. My work has appeared in the sadly departed Gourmet Magazine, as well as Bon Appétit, Self Magazine and Men's Fitness, among other publications. I have written many articles and online columns and have made numerous TV and radio appearances. I've given many cooking demonstrations and classes in the Bay Area and on the the east coast. For many years I have run my own cooking school and catering business and did menu consulting and development for restaurants.
