Good Reads... Good Lord
Ok, so the last few days I've actually been trying to add books that I've read. In doing this, I've discovered three things:
1) I've read a lot of books (I haven't even broken the ice on this yet).
2) I have a very wide range of things I like to read. Seeing Necroscope and The Stand right beside Pride and Prejudice and A Midsummer Night's Dream is a little odd... but interesting.
3) This is going to take freakin' forever.
BUT I DIGRESS... if my efforts lead any of you to a great book, I'm satisfied.

Covers and Breaks
Now that our tour has ground to a halt for the summer, I can get back to Racing Destiny. I've asked a prominent graphic artist to do my cover, sent him my concept art and snippets from the book today. I've always done my own covers, but I have mucho faith in this "young" man to do it right and do it well. I just don't have the talent to do this one justice and I want the best for you.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to this break this summer. For those of you that don't know, I have a full time job as the Network Technician for Listerhill Credit Union, run an art business on the side called Wildcat Mountain Artistry, write books and tour with Grady, and I'm also a wife and mom. Make you tired just thinking about it? Well, there you go... We've been going since January, time for some chill time (which is when I write the best).

This weekend we'll be in the Huckster Room at LibertyCon. We're already preselling stained glass items before we get there, which has become necessary at the last couple of conventions because it goes so fast. This will be the first convention Fear the Emptiness Within has been available, so we're hoping that pretty purple cover will attract some attention.
We're super excited to see some old friends and to meet some new ones!
If you're in the Chattanooga area this weekend, come on by the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel :)

Applegarth Books - Millington, TN
This little bookstore is our home away from home. We had originally scheduled our third signing there in September, but Courtney contacted us recently with the sad news that the store was closing at the end of this month. She stressed that they wanted to have their favorite authors there for a last hurrah, so we bumped it up to June 22, today. Luckily a few days ago Courtney let everyone know that they were going to be able to stay open a few more months. We're headed there now with books and glass to see our fabulous Memphis area fans and to celebrate the extra time. So, that being said, make sure to go by Applegarth Books, even if it's not today. This is an awesome bookstore and their staff is the best of the best!!
