about this author
Cindy Jacks worked for ten years in the corporate arena, but left the boardroom at the age of thirty-three for a more fulfilling existence. Two years later she is happy to be a full time writer. Her characters are usually strong women with a dash of neurosis. Recurring themes in her books include personal transformation, the sensuous qualities of food, and pushing the boundaries of traditional femininity.
With Kensana Darnell and Jambrea Jo Jones, she makes up the third side of The Romance Trinity. Recently Cindy has branched out into horror and thrillers, writing under the name CJ Elliott.
She lives in Northern Virginia, a stone's throw away from Washington, DC. When not writing or chasing after her four year-old ...more

description:
For Della Jordan--better known as DJ--a normal life is something she can only dream about. Making the best of the cards life has dealt her, she works for a private security company as a cleaner. The Agency specializes in dirty deeds, though they aren't dirt cheap. DJ ensures that nothing ever gets traced back to her employer. Crime scene clean up, frame jobs, and burying the bodies is all in a day's work. But when she finds a survivor she inexplicably takes a shine to at a scene she's processing, she finds herself breaking all the rules to find out who put a hit on him and why. In saving this target from certain death, she just might save herself.

description:
The Council of Deities has determined that the root of all suffering is Desire. For this reason, they've also decided to boot out of Olympus the greco-roman god of intoxication and ecstasy, Bacchus. Now Bacchus, in mortal form on Earth, must prove his worth and work his way back into the Council's good graces. Though the focus of the book is a figure from Greek and Roman mythology, I borrow gods and goddesses from many different cultures and religion. My intent is to weave a rich, entertaining tale. I am not attempting to make social commentary, nor am I trying to offend anyone. I promise. So please take my humble, fictional offering with the same lighthearted manner in which it was written.
