About the author

Tahar Ben Jelloun (Arabic: الطاهر بن جلون) is a Moroccan writer. The entirety of his work is written in French, although his first language is Arabic. He became known for his 1985 novel L’Enfant de Sable (The Sand Child). Today he lives in Paris and continues to write. He has been short-listed for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Harika bir kitap okudum. Kısacık bir roman ama okurunu sorgulatan cinsten. Ahlâk ve vicdan nedir? Kaybedilir mi? Kaybedilirse yeniden kazanılabilir mi? İçten mi gelir, sonradan mı öğrenilir? Ankara Kitap Fuarı'nda sahaftan aldığım saklı cennetlerden biriydi ve neden bilmem gerçekten çok, çok sevdim. Yazarın dilini de hikayesi kadar beğendiğim için, gönül rahatlığıyla yıldız da ekleyerek, tavsiye ederim. =)
