I recommend this if you're in a reading slump. It was a fun and quick read. This is about two quiz contestants Leo and Kizuna. The story starts out from a scene where they're playing in a quiz show live on television, going against each other at the final round. Before even listening to the question, Kizuna quickly pushes the button and gives his answer and somehow he got it correct--BUT HOW?
Leo wants to find out the truth of what happened that day. Was it a fair competition or was it fixed by the producer?
I enjoyed reading this because I love how it talks about how quiz nerds got to become quiz nerds and showing us behind the scenes of game shows. I thought about giving this a four star because of the way it pulled me into this story, but I don't think it's something I would reread so three stars.
This unbelievably simple novella about a quiz show competitor solves the mystery of why his opponent was able to answer the question before the prompt was read is so well done and I was completely enthralled from start to finish. The way author shows how the MC makes connections from separate information is stunning. I also loved all the personal stories that the MC relates to his quiz knowledge. This is one of the novels that I was most impressed by on a technical aspect as well, as I feel like this must have been so difficult to write.
