Dare to Dream and Work to Win: Understanding Dollars and Sense of Success in Network Marketing by Thomas Barrett is one of my foundational sales books. Dr. Barrett taught me three core principles of sales and business 1. Consistency, 2. Build a duplicatable system, and 3. Give it time. These core principles have helped me to build a growing, thriving, profitable business. No matter if you are working a direct sales business or starting your own business, this book has so much good information. Dr. Barrett also taught me about entrepreneurial time - how your hourly rate for your work improves over time and this helped me to have hope in the early years where I was putting in so many hours for so little money.

i have had this book for probably 7 years and i could never make it past the first several chapters. after seeing it recommended (again) by some of the leaders in the new company i am with, i decided to force myself to finish this book no matter what! i am glad i did. it was insightful. good questions and great advice. would have like more examples though IRL. i underlined a ton of advice i will refer to often.

I read this book for two reasons:\n1. I am going to be training on it next Tuesday at our jeweler training\n2. It was referenced multiple times at the Premier Rally a few weeks ago\nAnd it is a good book about understanding how to be successful in your network marketing business. I did find it to be more cerebral and less practical. But good nonetheless. I think anyone in network marketing should read it (or read the first � and skim the last few chapters like I did).\n

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I'VE READ SO FAR for Network Marketing/Multi Level Marketing!!!!

It is actually a page turner! I just felt like I was chatting with a friend and was just absorbing all the knowledge and tips from someone who has actually been there and done that. This book truly has all the tips that we should be doing in our daily business activities to have our business prosper, duplicate and grow.

I will be re-reading this book for sure to fully absorb all the things I kept highlighting!

I listened to the audio version, and it was wonderful! Dr. Barrett is very candid and direct, and offers great stories and insights for anyone looking at direct sales. I loved his examples and the stories he told of his own mistakes early in his career. He seems to really know what to ignore and what to focus on to succeed in this industry. this book is one of the first I received from my sponsor and listened to as I went to and from work everyday. as I began reading the book again many of the stories and examples he gave were what I remembered most. I love that you can reread as your business grows and you get new messages and advice. highly recommend!
