They call us the Devils of Cliffside. We don’t deny it. We sharpen the horns. We wear the name like a crown.
We weren’t born monsters. We were made. Shaped by betrayal, baptized in blood, and carved into something unrecognizable by the hands of the men who came before us... The Elders.
Our fathers.
I’m Wyck Vaughn. And with my Devils, my brothers, we own this city.
The secrets, the shadows, the sins, they all bow to us. We don’t follow rules. We rewrite them.
And when someone dares to cross the line, we don't ask questions. We bury them in it.
My mother died screaming. And my father watched. Now, years later, he strolls back into my life flashing a new woman on his arm like she’s some fucking trophy.
Except this one’s different.
She laughs like sin and walks like lust. Skin kissed by firelight. Eyes that see too much. A red dress that fits like it was made for heartbreak.
She’s not just another pretty pawn in his game. She’s the glitch in his system. The match in a room full of gasoline.
She’s also about to become my stepmother.
Too bad.
Because I want her. We want her. And when Devils want something… We don’t steal. We claim.
So let the Elders rot. Let the lies unravel. Let the empire my father built crumble brick by bloody brick.
We’ll rebuild it, with her on our throne. Whether she begs for it… or bleeds for it.

The new generation of The Devil's of Cliffside is taking the world by storm. This book starts out slow by giving the reader a chance to understand both Wyck and Athens background and then the story brings you full circle as to how Athens became Wyck's own personal Devil's Nip (think of Catsnip).
After one night of passion Wyck is sprung on the mystery woman he hooked up at one of the Devil's Wild Parties.
Wyck didn't have the best upbringing with his father being one of the OG members of The Devil's of Cliffside but Wyck knows how to play the game in order to appease his father all while planning his revenge for the abuse and death of his mother and he has found the perfect pawn in his new stepmother Athens.
This book takes you for a loop. So many Secrets, Acts of Betrayal and Manipulation to keep you guessing and right when you think you have things figured out, BAM......Plot Twist
***This book is not a lovely romance or just some smutty story. This is dark, twisted, veryyyy steamy and not for everyone.
A summary of the story: Athens is the FMC of the story. The story follows her from life as a teenager who loses her parents to her adult life. She has an infatuation with a family friend because he supported her after her parents death. Then she becomes engaged to this much older man, Bash, who is leading her on an unknowingly dangerous path of lies and violence. Throughout these years she also discovers her inner sexual desires while attending a Devil’s of Cliffside party. This is where she becomes entangled with the dangerous Devils (Wyck, Wells, Karter, Onyx, Dash). These men will threaten her potential future with Bash. Is she following the right path by marrying this controlling older man? Through the story we also follow Wyck’s story about growing up within the Devil’s of Cliffside. He is very different from his father, Bash, and we learn about his work to take over the Devils and the mysterious city rulers. There is also a heated story that begins to for. between him and his future step-mother, Athens.
My thoughts on this story: There are so many unanswered questions surrounding Athens’ life. She has many things that are being hidden from her and it is easy for her to be manipulated. I don’t think we will really see her true strengths and weaknesses until she learns more about herself in the upcoming books.
I have read other great stories from this author and while I enjoyed a majority of this book, I felt like there was potential for it to be better. I only started to enjoy the story line about 40% of the way through. At the begging of the story the POVs were done with the age of characters. I did not find this method enticing because details got mixed up when jumping to the different years.
A couple of minor things that got to me while reading this story were repetition of some steamy scenes within dialogue between characters making it redundant, the many proof reading misses, and the bafflement of the characters not recognizing each other after a sexual encounter (even with masquerade masks on, but still!!).
Overall, I enjoyed the majority of this book and will most likely be reading the next book because there are just too many unknowns, and I’m kinda nosey.
*** If you like smut, the smut is real in this read! ;)
I slogged through this book. The "Devils" get what they want, have what they want, & take what they want. Athens has a hidden past she doesn't remember and is romanced by Bash in a 25 year age gap "romance". His son Wyck is the head of the devils and is "taking over" the town with his "brothers" The story was full of meaningless sex and domination and every character in the book "whined", "growled", "wailed", & "mumbles". The characters "mumbled" on almost every page of the book which was so repetitive. Athen's inner voice speaks to her and she never takes her own advice and her relationship with her best friend G is toxic and borderline psycho. There's a side story about her past and some sort of mystery about said past is uncovered at the end of the book which ends in a cliffhanger so you have to buy the next book. I'm not invested to read any more & I wouldn't recommend this book because it's crud.
This was a page turner, with so many twists it kept me turning the page wondering what was going to happen next! It’s an enjoyable read! I really liked it
This book had me panting at times and so angry at others! The twists I didn’t expect threw me for a loop! I loved the character development with some characters, and where I started out loving one, ended up hating him by the end! That cliffy definitely has me hanging on the edge waiting for book 2! Such a good read! PS: Karter definitely took my heart 😍
Ace (Wyck) is the main Devil of Cliffside where he and his friends rule the campus. He has a hatred for his father after what happened to his mother and has been plotting his revenge. Now his father is set to remarry Athens and she has become his source of revenge and more. But he's not the only one that she caught the attention of it, but what they will all realize is there is more to her than meets the eye.
I'm going to start by saying do not read this if you are easily triggered. There are a lot of points in the story that can easily be triggers, but the ending and cliffhanger I will say is the worst one.
The story was slow to start and it took me well over a third of the book to really get into the story. Wyck is an alphamale that doesn't like the word no. He's very into taking what he wants, one way or another. Despite that, I feel like there might be something there that is a decent and I hope in the next book we get to see that brought out. Athens is a strong FMC and I loved her strong personality. She's sweet, but can stand on her own. As you read, you'll learn things about her that just make your heart break for her.
This book starts out a bit slow giving us info and backgrounds about the characters. Then picks up in no time. It’s not one of those books that take forever to get into it. I read it in one day and couldn’t put it down! Some of the twists I seen coming and some had me like wtf! Especially the ending I didn’t see that coming! I loved all the different POV we got in this book. And I hope we get more of Wells🫣

“Fucking is an art meant to be experienced with someone who shares your same interests. Nothing is wrong with vanilla or kinky sex. Both can give you different yet earth-shattering experiences and orgasms.”
If you like… This book is for you!
-Possessive Alphaholes -Touch Her and Die Vibes -Age Gap -Step Mother/Son romances -Reverse Harems -Secret Societies -Dark Romance
First off I had a really hard time getting into the book, and I debated DNFing it around 20%. But I stuck with it and finished it, and I’m glad I did.
At the beginning you get to meet Ace (Wyck) The main Devil of Cliffside. You get to see a little bit about his backstory and why he is the way he is, and why he hates his father so much.
Then further one in other story you get to meet Spade (Wells) and Karter. You don’t get their backstories yet, but you do get to see their characters. And let me tell you they are so freaking HOT!
Then lastly you finally get to meet Dash & Onyx near the end. Throughout the book you get to know them a little bit, but you don’t know much about them or their characters.
That being said this whole story was amazing! I’m usually not one for step son/daughter/mother/father romances, but this one didn’t really focus a lot on that and that was nice.
I can’t wait to learn more about the guys, and see what happens next in their story! I know it will be good, especially with that cliffhanger at the end!
Holy cow. This book is loaded with all the spicy smut you could ask for. The spicy scenes are HOT!! Had to keep the hubby close by.
Ace or Wyck which we learn is his name is exactly what we are want in an alpha hole . He's dominant, possessive, yet shares with his best friends. After all they are the devil's of Cliffside. We get some of Wyck's backstory, while learning why he hates his father so much.
Athens is doomed the moment she goes to a party where is meets Ace. Not realizing the relationship between him and her fiance Bash. She has a troubled past that comes to life at the very end of the book.
I can't wait for book two. This was a great read. I had a hard time putting it down.
Where is booked 2!! This story took so many twists and turns I was not sure if I could keep up. I love me a good wide choose, but this one also had a lot of morally Grey situation’s. Athena is learning about herself, her past, and what she really wants in life. The people around her, you can never tell if they are real or if they have been planted in her life for a reason. The story has so many new ways it could go. I can’t wait for the next one. Go get this book fast!
Thank you, Raja, for sending me this book to review! This book is pretty fast-paced, very dark romance with lots of spicy. It was a good read. If you are looking for dark romance with lots of different triggers, then this it it.
I do like all the MMCs and would love more information about O, D, W, and K as we saw a lot more Wyck story than the rest of MMC.
I did like A, but I wish we saw more of her human side.. for example, she gets rated, and then next moment is having sex with her love..um let's be real she is human and that is traumatic so let's see how she would really deal with it.. maybe??
I did like that we see Bash side to it as well. We never get to see the villains' side of the story
Overall, this book was worth the read even though I would choose things differently about it. Can't wait to see what happens next.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book was crazy, but in a good way. I couldn’t put this down. My only issue is when I got the last part of the book I was hit with a trigger that wasn’t listed in the warnings. If the author would like to add that to the list it would be amazing. I have very few triggers, but this one got me hard! Besides the unexpected trigger the book was amazing!!!
This book is amazing, if you like the darker side of romance then this book is definitely for you. It has everything and more, Raja you smashed it out the park on the one and I’m so freaking proud of you.
Please be read trigger warnings because this does dive in to a lot of them
The characters reel you in and the story weaves its way into your soul. I could not get. I was entertained and kept on my toes. I never quite knew what would happen next. The angst and the heat burned me right up. I can’t wait to see what’s text for The Devils and our Athens.
This book was so interesting that it grabbed and kept my attention from the very first page to the last page. I read it in 1 and a half days as I couldn't put it down. The FMC is an interesting woman, and I feel for her. For all that she's gone, and is still, going through. That surprising ending was quite the cliffhanger.
I really Loved this dark, twisted, steamy book. It's not for everyone I highly recommend reading the trigger warning before you start the book if you have triggers. As for me, I have none and Love this book. This is a new author to me but I can't wait to read more of her books! The book is well written, there are twists, the steam is steamy, there is talk of SA so be warned. The Devils get what they want, and they aren't afraid to do whatever it takes to get it.
A 6-hour slog. It's a quick read, riddled with grammatical errors and repetitive verbiage, but again it's over quickly. There's a cliffhanger that is compelling enough to want to continue the series, but wait, the next book isn't out until May 2025!?!?! The story is not that good to want to return to it a whole ass year later just for book 2 out of 4.
This whole thing is a trip, author girlie, you are not SJM and this is not addiction quality. You gotta pump this trash out hot and fast or lose your audience.
The spice was spicing at instalust speeds, that's why 2 ⭐s. But everything else about the story is mid to worse.
5⭐️ 4🌶️ This book starts off slow but baby when it picked up did it pick up🥵 The men in this book were so dang hot 🫠 I loved the character development. And that ending😱 I couldn’t get enough of this book. I need the next book now!!
Hot and darkand twisted! Not for everyone but, I absolutely loved this book. This is the first Raja Savage book I've read and excited to go back and catch up. Totally twist at the end and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Keep em coming Raja!!
I really enjoyed this book. This book keeps you on your toes with the number of twists and turns but that is alright as it keeps you engaged and wanting more. This is a binge read book and I’m looking forward to book 2.
Wow what a wild ride! Loved every second of it! She deserves so much for all the heartache she has had! She needs protection and love and she can have true happiness! Loved every second of this read!!
All I can say is...A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! This book was unbelievable and blew me away. I can't wait for the next in the series. You have got to read this book!!!
This book is so good. Lots of twists and turns. Very hot and steamy. Lots of secrets. The cliffhanger though. I need more Now. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.
A lot going on lol. It started out freaking AMAZING and then I'm not sure how I feel after reading this. Wyck and the Devils are a force to be had. Athens is a definite love interest for all the guys. She definitely has trauma and realizes why. The sex scenes are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. There are triggers, so be sure to read those first
Raja Savage’s first book in her The Devil’s of Cliffside series grabbed my attention just by the title alone and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I have read several books by this author and they’ve all been outstanding. The way she weaves the characters perspective is written so magical it actually makes you feel as if you’re living in the story. This book was full of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense and steamy situations that was so riveting I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Of course this book ends on a cliffy so you must read the next one, I know I can’t wait! Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
