WOW! This book is a small town second chance romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's full of action, suspense and drama and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Once you start reading it you don't want to put it down.
Dangerous Inheritance was a nice read, although I never was fully invested in the storyline and I'm not sure why....
The characters were fine and I enjoyed the mystery overall. I liked how the romance was a second chance story (one of my favorite kinds!).
All in all, I liked Dangerous Inheritance and definitely plan on continuing the series.

Dangerous Inheritance will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you turning the pages until the end. This is a fast-paced suspense novel of second chance love and is also a clean read.
This was a new author and genre for me. Good solid read with a fast moving plot. My only negative was that there were alot of attempts on the characters lives. But overall a good book.
You don't have to wonder if this book is action packed because the action starts immediately. As each suspect of the attack on Naomi ends up dead the mystery keeps you reading. I couldn't put it dowm.
This is a second chance romance with lots of intrigue. This another wonderful read by this author. Again you are sucked in, and I mean that in a good way, from the very beginning. This is a fast paced story but you’ll love it because you can’t wait to see what happens next. I loved all the suspense and the twists and turns it took that kept me turning the pages. This is a must read!
Wow. Sherri does it again. From the first paragraph she sucks you in and you don’t want to stop reading. This book is full of suspense and twists and turns. I can’t say enough good things about it. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Excellent, fast paced suspense! This book had me at the beginning...had to keep going! Well written characters with enough twists to keep you wanting to go straight to the end.
Romantic suspense isn’t my go-to genre but this one captivated me with its real, down-to-earth characters in a small town setting. From the outside looking in, psychologist Naomi Summers appears to live a charmed life—residing on an elegant estate that she can turn into a retreat and counseling center. She’s also adopting sweet seven-year-old Violet, beneficiary of the estate and her deceased friend’s daughter. But all is not well. Someone is targeting Naomi. After her first scare, she comes face to face with former longtime boyfriend Detective Max Lexington who becomes her self-appointed protector, 24-7. Naomi broke his heart seven years ago when she left him.
As each day brings new dangers, suspects, and confusion, the stakes are raised. Not only do they have to unravel the mystery of the attacks, Naomi must keep herself from unraveling around Max. As he tries to protect her from further harm—and while she is forced to depend on him—they are both determined to protect their hearts from each other.
Sure the main character was being hunted by violent people and the police couldn't find them in their small town. Her profession as a psychologist maybe should have given her some strength and ability to face adversity but she was constantly screaming and crying until she couldn't speak. Come to think of it, I would too because her long-lost love, Detective Max, was still in middle school mode. He continually "forgot" his gun and taunted supposedly violent criminals like playground bullies. Without going into detail, if real police acted like these every town would be overrun by criminals. It read to me like a book written by someone who did no research but wanted to write a suspense story. Many confusing characters and situations.
Naomi has moved to Summerville to start a retreat for battered, abused women. But one evening while heading home a car tries to run her off the road, so she takes refuge in a diner. There she sees Max, the man she loved but left. Then things get really interesting as bullets come flying into the diner. Max turns out to be a detective with Summerville PD. Together they work to find out who wants Naomi dead. Can their belief in God protect them and show them the way to go
In this book you will read about greedy people who will do anything to get their hands on what they think belongs to them. When Naomi comes back to Summersville she brings danger with her. Max is surprised when Naomi comes into the diner looking for help. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
This is an entertaining Christian mystery with wonderful characters, clean romance, action, and suspense. I enjoyed the way it is written. It has a very happy ending.
Sherri Wilson Johnson, you outdid yourself, these were some of the best books I’ve ever read, you better start warming that pen up because you need to start another series SOON!
Johnson hit the ground running and never stopped. I always liked the second chance romance or long lost friends trope and she does an excellent job of capturing the complications of past relationships. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
