From USA Today Bestselling Author Nikki Ash comes a brand new, contemporary, stand-alone romance about a single dad who thinks he has everything figured out... until he meets her.

Savannah

A sexy, single dad and his teenage son weren’t a part of my white picket fence fairy tale, but if life has taught me anything, it’s that things don’t always work out according to plan.

Ben offers me no-strings-attached sex, but we could never be stringless. He has a son to think about, one who’s very much a part of my life.

No matter how much I want to accept his offer, taking our relationship to the next level would leave us tangled in knots.

Benjamin

After experiencing firsthand the devastation love can cause, I knew having a family wasn’t for me.
Neither was being a single dad—but here we are, trying to make it work.

The last thing I need is a distraction, but then Savannah waltzes into my world, stealing my treadmill at the gym—as well as my son’s heart.

We agreed to no strings. No complications or commitments. But I’m going back on my word because now that I know what it’s like to be with Savannah, there’s no way I’m ever letting her go.

No Strings was a very good romance read.

I liked Savannah and Benjamin and how their relationship evolved. They were opposite characters but shared a beautiful chemistry and connection.
I also liked Brody, Benjamin’s teenage son, who gave a fresh breath in the trope of single parent.

Wow! No Strings was the perfect read! I enjoyed everything about this single dad, age gap romance! The banter between Savannah and Benjamin was just so addictive from the start with all the playfulness and underlying attraction. As mush as I loved this couple, I must admit that Savy's relationship with Ben's teenage son, Brody, was just so special and sweet. Those two developed a bond so effortlesly and was the key to reunite father and son into a stronger relationship.

I just couldn't stop my read as I was completely hooked by these characters. I felt every single emotion so deeply; from flirty, to humorous, to poignant and passionate. An avalanche of feels was delivered in these pages! Contrary to what I assumed from the title of the book, Savannah and Benjamin didn't dive into their no strings attached relationship right away. They build a very meaningful friendship, then suddenly let their physical interest into each other explodes into scorching passion. I loved how Savy was full of sassy repartees, compared to Benjamin's stuffy attitude. She certainly brought a more decontracted side of him. Under all his layers, the man was truly caring and sweet.

No Strings was one of my absolute favorite book this year! I didn't want to let go of these fantastic protagonists. Nikki Ash never disapoints with her flawless blend of romance, emotion, passion and humor!

No Strings was one of the rare exceptions where it actually improved from my first impression … though it still wasn’t great. In the beginning, Savannah seemed like a caricature. She would wear shirts with the most stereotypical Southern sayings, exercise on the treadmill while eating junk food, and get tired after walking for 10 minutes. The kicker, however, was the fact that she was appointed CFO at twenty-four years old. I get that it was mostly because she was the CEO’s sister’s best friend, but it was insulting that the characters acted like it was primarily due to her abilities. Not only did she have no experience as a people manager or an executive in her previous role, they kept gushing about how great she was at math … as if that was the most important competency of a CFO, rather than strategic leadership. And then once she started her role, the author never included any scenes of her actually working. Her romantic counterpart, on the other hand, acted like a such douchebag in the beginning. However, as the novel progressed (and I got used to the absurdity of these details), it became a lot more tolerable.

There wasn’t anything egregious about the romance (thank goodness). The couple shared some cute moments, such as the knotted necklace that Benjamin bought for her as a metaphor for how far they've come since agreeing to no strings at the start. However, it seemed too perfect, in a way that felt unnatural. Their relationship moved quite quickly and their connection felt shallow. One of my pet peeves in romances is the lack of specificity. For instance, take the moment where Benjamin professed his love for the first time:
“I love you.” But as the words leave my mouth, they don’t feel like they’re strong enough to describe the way I feel for Savannah, so I continue, trying to fully express the way I feel. “But more than that, I never want you to leave my sight.” […] “The way my body is constantly drawn toward you is like nothing I’ve ever felt. I crave you, desire you, need you. When you’re not with me, I want you to be. You’ve come to own so much of my heart, and while the thought of a woman holding that kind of power over me used to scare me, with you, it makes me feel stronger and more alive.”
Was it a nice speech? Sure. But I wanted more, such as what it was about her specifically that made him want to have his first serious relationship. He kept emphasizing their sexual connection, which was frustrating considering their sex scenes felt tepid. To "demonstrate" their chemistry, the author kept including scenes of the couple forgetting to use contraceptives instead of, you know, actually writing sexy scenes - another pet peeve.

Dude simps over chic who's eating chips while taking a mild walk in UGGs on the treadmill.

His troubled teenage son is magically cured as soon as he meets the heroine.

The main couple has a Valentine's date that feels straight out of a jewelry commercial.

No serious drama in this book, they basically start dating without realizing it and then decide to make it official.

This the most basic shit ever but I still read it

Yet another sweet and heartfelt love story from the effortlessly charming writing of Nikki Ash. No Strings is the perfect combination of sweet swoon and angsty emotion, with a few twists along the way. Chock full of tropes I’m ravenous for- age gap, single dad, opposites attract, No Strings is simply enchanting.

Nikki has such an uncanny ability to weave the lighthearted and swoony with more emotionally heavy moments in her stories, and No Strings is such great example of how she can make a story feel good and fun, how she can keep it light, while having her characters process and addressing real challenges, and even personal trauma. No Strings centers on two people who have been burned by love, and as the result, both have found themselves in a life they never planned for themselves. For Savannah, she’s starting over in New York, with only one friend and a few dollars to her name. And for Benjamin, he never thought he’d end up divorced and a dad- and now he’s making some real chances because he teenage son is going through some challenges of his own. They have the perfectly quirky and memorable meet cute involving a treadmill, and from there their lives just keep serendipitously intertwining. And soon the mercurial Benjamin can’t deny the effervescence of sunshiney Savvy- but neither one of them are keen to repeat past mistakes, despite their attraction. The perfect solution? No strings.

Savannah is perhaps my favorite Nikki Ash heroine to date- this TN charmer is quirky, sassy, and radiates a joie de vive exuberance that is quite breathtaking when you consider just how challenging her life has been. For a character to be so full of light and sincerity despite being let down by almost everyone in her life, it’s quite a breath of fresh air. From her sassy t-shirts to her playful workout attire, I’m pretty sure I’m a little bit in love with her myself. So it’s not wonder Benjamin can’t resist here- nor Benjamin’s teenage son Brody. She’s the heartbeat of this story- and her character voice was so vibrant.

Truth be told, Benjamin took more time for me to warm up with. Unlike so many Nikki Ash leading men that excuse authentic emotional availability and heroic lifestyles, Benjamin has made some mistakes. The most grievous of which is that he’s been an absent father to the son that needs him (and adores him)- all because he has his own unaddressed baggage and a workaholic tendency. While I felt for his challenges, I felt it didn’t justify his actions- but then he does what I love about Nikki men. He takes responsibility. He does better. And he opens his heart. And I felt like we got a new, shinier, and way more delicious leading man once he did.

His chemistry with Savannah started with the perfect blend of love-hate, opposites attract flirty banter and humorous tensions, and then evolved into no strings steam and TONS of hot sizzle. Let’s just say I now know I’ve been using the treadmill all wrong. But what I loved most was the emotional stability that evolved- how they challenged each other to own up to their pasts, to work through their hang-ups
The story did take a bit longer for me to connect with- in part because these two start out anything but swooning over each other- but once they dove into their attraction I was turning pages rapid fire. There was one plot element that felt a bit out of the blue and despite its impact felt much less developed, but it did create a big explosive growth moment for Benjamin. The real star though, is Brody- Benjamin’s troubled teenage son. I love how Nikki gave him full character focus- he’s dimensional, nuanced, complex, and a total scene stealer. His relationship with both Savy and Benjamin was such a critical element to this story, and he got his own opportunities to grow and evolve. I really loved him, and I felt like he added not only depth to the story but also opportunities for us to see more dimension in our leads.

Despite some of the heavier topics woven throughout, you still feel light in your heart in the end. Just enough angst and pain to pull at our heart strings, but never enough to take away the swoony vibes of it all. All in all, another charming, feel-good story from Nikki Ash. <4.5 stars>

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: grumpy/sunshine
Angst: 😰😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: loss of a parent/pregnancy difficulties

No Strings was a fantastic, heartfelt ride! Neither Savannah nor Benjamin were looking for anything more than casual, but sometimes the strings that bind us together are a lot stronger than they first appear ❤️ . Savannah is a sunny, southern girl just coming off a divorce, moving into a new town with friends. Her attraction to grumpy single dad, Benjamin was hard and fast, but despite trying to keep him at arms length, she just can't manage to follow through.

This story was absolutely wonderful and well written. The character development phenomenal and you really care for these characters. Sav has deep seeded abandonment issues and is very leery of commitment-phone Benjamin. She's someone who's faced a lot of adversity and manages to come out on top through being a hard worker and her willingness to accept the things she cannot change. Benjamin is a man who is finally accepting some of his responsibilities. His 16 year old son is moving in with him and he's trying to be the father he should have been all along. He's a hard worker on top of his game, but this may be his biggest challenge yet. The banter between these two was fantastic. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered. Really fantastic read - highly recommend!

This book should serve as a lesson to me - don’t pick up a new book right before bed because you will read until the end, even if that’s at 3am and you have work in the morning.

This is a really cute single-dad romance with a great fmc, Savannah. The mmc, Benjamin, starts as a bit of a walking red flag, but he grows and redeems himself. Also, there is no third-act break-up, which is a bonus!

No Strings was such a sweet, beautifully written heartfelt story! I loved Savy & Ben so much! The emotions I felt throughout reading this story consumed me and I couldn’t put the book down from beginning to end. The story begins with Savannah finding out her husband has been cheating on her with her childhood friend. After being so badly betrayed by two people she loved she is in need of a change and takes a job in NYC. Upon meeting Benjamin she is immediately attracted to him but can’t help but see another egotistical, controlling, arrogant man. That is until she sees a sweeter, softer side to him and she allows herself to form a friendship with him. I adored Savannah. The way her sunshine seeps into Benjamin and through their friendship an undeniable connection begins. Ben has an emotional past. One that doesn’t allow him to form any attachments to women. He also has a 15 year old teenage son, Brody that is troubled. Ben has been absent from his life throwing himself in his work of developing successful high end night clubs and is regretting his lack of involvement in his sons life and vows to do everything he can to change that. When Savannah meets Brody she sees immediately through him. She recognizes his pain as she has seen it many times before growing up in foster care. I just loved the special friendship they shared and the dynamic of all three of them! There are so many beautiful layers to this story! The single dad romance trope is one of my top faves and Nikki blew me away with this one. So much passion, emotion and heart wrapped up in these pages and it is a must read!

No Strings was such a great single dad romance and was seriously going to be 5 stars BUT.. at 95% something was revealed that literally came out of left field and left me scratching my head. Seriously.. I don’t get that decision at all.. the ending also felt very rushed and a lot of loose ends were pushed under the rug.

I have yet to meet a Nikki Ash story I did not adore! Some more than others, but that’s how it goes LOL No Strings was especially adorbs for me because of one thing … the friendship / bond between not just Benjamin and Savannah, but also his son Brody. There’s something about a single parent romance that just hits me in all the #feels, especially if you incorporate life circumstances such as the ones that Nikki wrote into the story. It just made this story one giant *happy sigh* moment after another and I was smiling like a lunatic even thru the conflict and the #feels!

There is so much humor and emotion woven into the journey of Ben and Savy that it’s hard to piece it out or pick out special moments to share with you because it all felt special to me. I appreciate the choices that Nikki made with this story which allowed the story to remain more on the feel-good side rather than the angsty side. There’s a lot of emotion woven into the story, but it’s not weighed down with it and it could of easily turned in that direction. I guess that would have turned it into a whole different type of romance LOL

ANYWHO! I digress! GO DO THE THING because it’s out now and in Kindle Unlimited!

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.
======================
One minute, I was building nightclubs, partying it up and getting laid in LA, and the next, I’m trying to raise a teenager—one who’s failing out of school, almost burned my apartment down a few days ago when he was trying to smoke in his bathroom, and refuses to speak to me unless I force him to.

“You already know I have no desire to commit, and I have no doubt that the number of orgasms I could give you would have you forgetting about that asshole ex of yours.”

Oh wow.. I’ve read a couple Nikki Ash books before but this takes the cake. I was intrigued the whole way through.

Ben struggles with bonding with his fourteen year old son Brody, after being absent from his life. *Enter Savy* she flips their world over! Ben (especially) and Savy are both reluctant to start/get into a relationship and insist on no strings - yet he’s the one who ends up falling first 🥰. I especially loved that Brody was included all throughout the story. He was their glue and was always giving his dad such sage advice: “fix it.” There’s not much drama per se, but they do each have their own individual baggage/problems. Problems that they all work through together, which strengthens their family dynamic.

This is definitely a book I’ll reread & am now interested in reading a few more by this author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ This is a cute, sweet, low angst, low drama, fluffy little love story with a shiny HEA. I would love to have seen more spice (i mean, I’m never NOT going to want more spice) and i feel like it could have used some more character development. It just fell a little flat for me. BUT … It’s totally worth the read if you’re looking for an easy, sweet and fluffy story.

This one sat in my KU library for too long and as it’s the end of the year and wanting to do a little housekeeping - I decided if not now, when? Well clearly the correct answer should have been… if not now, that’s okay. There are better books to be read and best case scenario here is to toss this clunker back into the KU vortex.

Ladies… step away from the dumb book.

This book begins and ends with the MC - Savannah. I just couldn’t get fully on board here. She’s a foster child with abandonment issues… but jumps head first into any and every relationship with zero regard or discernment.

She has a perfect body.. but literally eats chocolate and chips and coffee WHILE “working out” on a treadmill. In Uggs. And her too tight t-shirts with their sassy Southern sayings. But only for 10 minutes at a time. Then she’s just too darn tired to keep going. And leaves in a fit of GIGGLES while others want to actually use the equipment she’s on.

She’s had one job post college for her (now ex) husband’s family in a small town in TN but then in the next chapter is definitely ready to be the CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER for a multi-million dollar business in NYC at the age of 24. Because being good in math is all it takes to reach the highest rung on the corporate ladder for her field? What the F ever.

She spends the entire book talking about how she can’t get pregnant but does ZERO follow up, ever to prove (or disprove this) whilst also having copious amounts of unprotected sex.

And do NOT even get me started on the ending. How many things can the author throw at us in the last 20 pages?! When I tell you I rolled my eyes HARD, I’m not exaggerating here. It’s like the author realized she hadn’t quite filled up her woke bingo card and made up for it in the end. There is .0000000000% chance I will read the follow up to this book. Just so completely unnecessary and what little hope I had for the book… poof. Gone.

And now, be gone you dumb book. I need something else ASAP to finish out the year with an actual good book.

No Strings is the single dad romance between Benjamin and Savannah (Savy). Savy moves to New York to work for her best friend’s family company after going through a divorce. Ben is the owner of the building where the company is based, and has his own company based on nightclubs and real estate. These two meet due to working in the same building and having mutual friends. Savy also bonds with Brody, Benjamin’s teenage son.

My favorite part of No Strings was Brody! I loved seeing him want to grow closer to his dad, and how attached he was to Savy. I would’ve liked to see a little more development of Savy and Benjamin’s romance, but other than that, No Strings delivered exactly what I was in the mood for.

TROPES: single dad; forced proximity (coworkers; live in same apartment building); instalove/instalust; surprise pregnancy

TRIGGER WARNINGS: loss of a parent via suicide; parental abandonment/foster care; attempted child molestation (not by H or h); mentions of infertility

Another single parent romance for the win.....
If there is one trope that never fails it will have to be this one.

I loved the relationship between the heroine and the hero's son it was the cutest thing ever

And I finally found a romance where he is aware with his feelings and knew instantly that he was falling for the heroine

yikes

This book wasn’t very good. Savy was a confusing mix of smart (apparently she had a MBA and was a CPA), “not like other girls” (queue eye rolling), and irresponsible (who has unprotected sex and doesn’t know what a Plan B pill is???). I read romance novels for the escapism, but this book was beyond unrealistic and kind of silly. At least the sex scenes were spicy. Wouldn’t recommend this book though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ho adorato questo libro. L’ho divorata davvero in pochissimo tempo.

↳ The title might suggest a no-strings-attached affair, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Savannah and Benjamin building a meaningful friendship first. Savy, with her sassy repartees, brought out a more relaxed side of Benjamin, who I thought was a bit on the stuffy side initially. But beneath all those layers, he turned out to be incredibly caring and sweet. The dynamic between them was just perfect. When their physical attraction finally exploded into scorching passion, it was just the cherry on top. ༉‧₊

↳ Also the banter between Savannah and Benjamin was just so addictive, filled with playfulness and that undeniable underlying attraction. But what really stole my heart was the adorable relationship between Savy and Ben's teenage son, Brody. Their bond was so special and sweet, becoming the key to strengthening the father-son relationship. ༉‧₊

I loved everything about this sweet and heartfelt romance. Savy has just moved to New York after her marriage ended in a disastrous way and she is looking for a new start. Benjamin is the epitome of no strings attached - he's a single dad who has spent the last 15 years of his son's life moving around, but when his teenage son needs him, he comes back to New York to be there for him. Savy and Benjamin find that their lives are intertwined with mutual friends, and they just happen to live and work in the same building. Both feel the immediate attraction and chemistry, but are hesitant to give in to anything because they don't want to ruin the friendship they are beginning, but at the same time Ben has offered her the chance for a no strings attached arrangement.

This was such a fantastic read - I couldn't wait to read what would happen next every time they met up in the beginning because it was gave me such a laugh. This was full of everything I look for in a sweet romance - yes, there is angst and growing and learning that both need to do, and there are some really heavy topics that come up during the course of their story, but it's also full of steam and lots of romance. Highly recommend this!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

This is stand alone novel.

This was a really cute book especially since Savannah and Benjamin, aka Ben, are complete opposites. Savannah is the sweet southern belle starting a fresh new life while Ben is broody businessman trying to change his routined life to include his son. I thoroughly enjoyed how Savannah got under Ben’s skin and changed his rules, but she didn’t make it easy for him once he changed his mind.

Savannah and Brody (Ben’s 14 year old son) has such a wonderful relationship even before she met Ben and it didn’t change after. The bond between then was strong and instant which really helped with Brody’s serious issue later on.

I also loved the friendships of both Ben and Savannah, their besties really helped them out and supported them.

I had some issues with Ben and his dad, Olivier, it just seemed like Ben held off talking to father for so long that things didn’t end well. Also, the way Brody reacted to Ted (his mother’s fiancé) I felt like that should have been looked into and talked about since it’s seemed odd.

I personally would have liked it if someone had junked punched Lois, Ted and Neil a few times.

This book does discusses and portrays a serious topic.

My gosh, there's something so special about Nikki Ash's writing style, as I tend to imprint on every last character she creates, even if they pull some questionable things. However on the flip side, it makes them very relatable no matter how upset I get with them, and Ben is our resident questionable decision maker in No Strings. He's a single father & a work alcoholic, and his relationship with his son has suffered. Said son has moved in with his father, and it's instantly apparent his teenage son needs more from Ben. Savannah steals Ben's treadmill one day, and it was just what the doctor ordered for all of them, as Ben's son imprinted on her quickly, and it really helped him. The bond those two had was something special & my favorite part of the book. Ben has issues with love & needs no distractions so they embark on a no strings journey since the chemistry between them is intense. Of course, it's only a matter of time before feelings are getting caught, but nothing is easy. To see how it all plays out, you know what to do since I'm not saying another word except I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Having read Ms.Ash's work before I've been wanting to pick up more of her books this year! As soon as this one was announced it caught my eye right away and i knew i had to pick it up next! Once i started reading, it grabbed my attention so quickly. I enjoyed this story!

Savannah and Ben's journey pulled me in right from their very first meeting! I really liked how these two were brought together and getting to dig deeper into their minds. I so enjoyed the chemistry between these two and getting to see how they'd tackle things in their lives.

Their story was different and had realness to it. I loved how I went through all kinds of emotions from start to finish with these characters! I really liked what Brody brought to this story as well!

With No Strings, Ms.Ash has created such a good read that'll be sure to pull you in and make you feel so much! I am so looking forward to reading what she comes up with next!
