Sometimes I think writing makes me crazy, but then again I'd probably be even more crazy without it. There are a lot of things I do to balance out though: traveling, distance running, hiking, reading, orange juice, tennis, food fights, walking out of movie theaters telling the people in line that Harry Potter dies, cooking ethnic food, and competitive napping.
This contains the first three books in the Nora Wexler series. Deadly Accounts has Nora starting her FBI career. She is very excited to make a difference. She is teamed up with Special Agent Travis Greer. He's in Seattle on vacation and she is sent to help him with a case. The case is solved but Nora and Travis have made a powerful enemy. Deadly Pasts has Nora back at Berkley after some difficult news with the FBI. She decides to try to solve the murder of one of her college roommates who was murdered their junior year. She also gets involved in a rape case of one of her friends sister. This was a ripped from the headlines plot and handled well. She does solve the case and heads home to Travis. In Point of Failure we have Nora virtually in hiding and Travis being closely monitored in the Albany Field Office. We know who the bad guy is and it is difficult to see him be successful through so much of the book. Both Nora and Travis were put through the wringer in this one. The conclusion was satisfying. I really enjoyed getting to know Travis and Nora. I like them very much and would like to read more about them.
Wonderful mystery series. A lot of twists and turns to keep you reading. The closeness between Nora and Travis was really interesting in keeping them focused and yet professional. Indeed a great read and, I believe, no one reading this series will be disappointed. The enjoyment of the read is the progression of Nora and Travis as the move from beginning to end.
All three of the books were well written. It's been a long time since I didn't have to mentally correct spelling and sentence structure. That being said, mystery abounds in each book. Sometimes the writing got a little convoluted, especially in the fight descriptions. Characters we're believable and the attraction between Nora and Travis kept the action moving along nicely.
The cyber stuff seemed like it would be interesting but I kept falling asleep! It was fairly well-written but far too long. Nora just ping-ponged from one theory to another and was quite irritating. In this book, FBI agents are extremely unprofessional. I barely managed to get through the first book, started Book 2 but it seems like more of the same. I am deleting as it’s clearly not my thing.
It’s nice reading a good book and when you get to the end you have another book to continue reading. But when I got to the end of the third book I was wanting more and it’s off to get the next book in the series. All 3 books held my interest throughout. No complaints.
Great to have as a box set. Each story improved upon character and world development. I was not the biggest fan of some main characters in book one so it was nice having them all in one set to well reading!
This series of three books had lots of suspense plus love interest and intrigue. They are so enjoyable to read that it is hard to put them down I have finished these three and I am excited to start the next three.
Very good plot lines and well written. Too bad the "best and brightest" is too stupid to live time and time again. Shear dumb luck is only way she survives. Finally quit reading.
Intriguing, realistic stories of FBI agents fighting their road for justice. Plotting, murder and breathtaking situations . Becoming targets for killers, beaten up and maligned, they fight for their very lives.
Am excited to read more from this author! This Nora Wexler series has it all: intrique, love, danger, a nasty villain and plenty of those "oh crap" thrilling moments.
This series was good. I enjoyed the plot twists and surprises. I was a little thrown off by the editing in the last book. Someone did not edit well, but the story was still good and still delivered.
This was a fast paced book that continued on and encompassed family and stories from the past of characters in the story line. Would recommend this read to all .
