Caution:Cliff hanger. Ok story but I really dislike when authors take an average or on this case, short book, split it, make it a cliff hanger and want you to buy the ending. Sorry dear, not happening.

I feel really badly for our Lexie girl. It seems no matter what she does some chump is breaking her heart. So far Dr. Hottie isn’t scoring any points from me. On to the next book.

I give this story 4 and one half stars because I wanted more of the story but the story that I read I did enjoy.
This is the story of two high school sweethearts that went in different directions in life. Alexa Riley stay in the same place of Ridgeway, where she got her heart broken by then Grant Shiffey wanted to be a doctor so he left and moved to New York. Alexa Riley is now a woman who picks the wrong men. She is found in bed with Max who she thought was her boyfriend by his other girlfriend and decides then and there she was through with having a boyfriend. She felt like she has always picked the wrong man even back to when her and Grant parted. Grant felt he had to leave town to make his medical dreams of becoming a doctor come true but he had told her he loved her. Alexa felt that because Grant had told her he loved her he felt like she must not be enough for him, he had literally broken her heart with the mere fact of him leaving but saying he loved her. Then there is Dr. Grant Shiffey who has been through a divorce from this woman named Samantha who left him and their daughter Brianna aka Bri. Samantha left them for another man and there was not room for her daughter at the time. So he did get a gift from his marriage his now seven year old daughter Brianna. They seemed to trying to make a go of it after they went out on several dates and then she puts him out after he got out of bed and went to make them breakfast so that he could get home to his daughter but Alexa did not know he had a daughter. This story ends in a cliffhanger but I am willing to give it a chance to see how this story ends, because I liked it up to then and was getting into the story. It is a good read with a cliffhanger. I bought the boxset for Medical Romance since I like Ava Greene Short stories I can't wait to see how the ending of this will play out.

The books individually was not a fan, together they were okay. However I wasn’t a fan of Alexa’s “poor me, nobody wants to love me” attitude. Like as a woman you do not need a man to make you happy. I was also really expecting Alexa to make Grant grovel a bit of a grand gesture so I was slightly disappointed.

Alexa and Grant were high school sweethearts when they went their separate ways. Alexa has just come off of a bad breakup when she reconnects with Grant. knowing what she just ben through Grant omits telling her the truth. When it blows up in his face, he has to come to terms with what happened. Can he rectify what he did and get back into good grace with Alexa? This story captures your attention from the very beginning and have you in Grant and Alexa's corner for a reconciliation. I voluntarily agree to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

At 200 something pages in, the story is not finished in the slightest....and you have to buy the next book to see how it ends ...actually it sends you a link to amazon kindle where you can do a free trial or you can buy a subscription ... but it wasn’t good enough for that ... I did finish the next part which is “follow through” but the book has too much side talking .. idk not the best but did hold my attention

A short story about a woman who is in a relationship with Max , only to be so disappointed by the fact she has been lied to. Feeling like her life is one bad choice after another, then ending up in an accident, she is so broken up, disheartened and feeling betrayed. She just needs to believe in herself to move on, sweet story.

This book had the feels. Defiantly keeps you waiting for the happy ending but also afraid to see the end which means the end of the book. Onto the 2nd book to find their happily ever after!!

It was a good start, but too quick to end. I like the history between the two of them. I think he should have been more honest and up front about his daughter and ex wife as she was with her ex Max. I think there could have been more meat to the story and making it a little longer.

Would have been a 3 star but ends in a cliff hanger and I hate the “buy the next book” trap, per my kindle its 59 pages and that includes the fluff 😡

Alexa and Grant were together before he went away to College. But now he is back in town at the local hospital and she wants to know why he would come back to a little town like Ridgeway. Grant is back because he wanted a better life for himself and his family after the divorce it felt right. Alexa is very upset but trying not to admit that Grant is everything she wants in a man. But Grant tries his best to make her see that he didn't want to hurt when he left, among other things. I purchase this book. I am providing an honest review.

Alexa and Grant were once a couple. They went their separate ways, but find themselves thrown together after a minor incident lands Alexa in the hospital. She is attended to by Grant, the blast from her past whom she never quite forgot. A little bit of communication would have been helpful between these two. While the cliffhanger ending left me wanting more, it felt a little undone. No resolution. No HEA. I hope the next book brings a definitive ending.

What a wonderful read. The characters in this book (Alexa and Grant) have a history that started in high school but ended abruptly when Grant left to go to medical school. This book is an attention grabber that you can’t put down. WARNING: This book is a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book to come out.

The author has given us characters we can understand. Alexa does not have a good track record with men. Grant is her ex that returns to town ten years after he left her. They want to be friends, but after spending the night together he receives a text that just shatters her world.

This started out with her finding out that the guy she had been seeing for six months and was in bed with has another woman. She leaves them and ends up in an accident. She finds her first love is a doctor at the ER. Will they get together? Or is he also cheating on her? This ended with a cliffhanger...
