Even with google maps and being able to get directions on your mobile this little book is a huge source of information and very compact for carrying around.

This miniature guide plus pull-out map of London are perfectly travel-sized, to be stored in a purse or backpack to be easily pulled out as a quick reference to find the right underground line or to plan a daily schedule. The print size in the guidebook is small but still legible. The colour-coded map gives a holistic view of the City of London--not possible on the small window of a cellphone. However, the minuscule text on the map is a real challenge for my old eyes!

Decent tips for London for a mini guide, the very obvious tips for any first time visit.

I used this on a recent trip to the U.K. The size is right for carrying in a bag or pocket, and the fold-out map is handy and accurate. The site descriptions stick to the major sites and give basic tips, but for my first trip to London it was right on target. In fact, I didn't use any of the other travel books I had with me.

This is such a nice guide. I went through a couple of other guides, but this one was the one that I found the best.
This is a pocket size guide with a lot of tips: since the best places for your 'five o'clock tea', to the most beautiful buildings and gardens.
The map that comes inside the guide is really complete and helpful to move around in London.

This little book was literally in my pocket for the better part of four months in 2007. Smart phones may have obsoleted it, but I can imagine that it could still amazingly handy at times for a recent transplant to London.
