A stunning picture book celebrates the wonder, joy, grace, and beauty of Jesus' miraculous birth with gorgeous images inspired by England's stunning stained-glass cathedral windows and with text taken from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke from the King James Bible.
Many families share the custom of reading the Nativity story together at Christmas time. For those littles that love pictures while listening, this is a fantastic option! Words are taken from the King James Bible and illustrations are all beautiful scenes depicted like a cathedral’s stain glass windows.

I don't know how I feel about the stain-glass in this book. It kind of bothers me that one of the magi is not black, it is universally recognized that one magi king was black. Again, the faces are kind of creepy, sort of like the medieval drawings but unlike the beautiful cathedrals that I've visited. The text is perfect though.
Beautiful stain glass style illustrartions. Nice that the words are from King James Bible. Includes Herod and how the holy family had to flee to Egypt after Jesus' birth. Includes shepherds and three kings parts.
The words are from the King James Bible, and the illustrations look like gorgeous stained glass windows. A beautiful book, perfect for sharing the story of the first Christmas with anyone.
A lovely book, with illustrations inspired by the stained glass of English cathedrals. Interestingly, it is available with text from the King James translation of the Bible [Protestant] or the Revised Standard Version, Roman Catholic Edition, which is the one that I have; not surprisingly, since I purchased it at the gift shop of Sacred Heart RC Church in Tampa. I love stained glass, the Christmas story, and beautiful picture books. This one got a check mark in each category.
