I wouldn't ordinarily have given it 5 stars but I didn't want to be the first to give a sub 5 rating. It is a better than usual Shadow story where the Shadow & the Python confront each other disguised as other (real) people.

When it comes to pulp heroes there are 2 or 3 great standouts and the Shadow is one of those. The stories are fast paced and action filled. The mystery just adds to the excitement. With his army of agents to help the Shadow never lets you down for a great read. Highly Recommended

Read this as part of the Sanctum reprint of The Python and The Shadow, The Hawk and the Skull.

Walter B. Gibson surprised me again with regard to the identity of the eponymous Python. It's an early Shadow pulp, but there are some good set pieces throughout, some on the high seas, some in the water as a castaway, some beneath the waters where a tunnel is being built beneath one of the rivers surrounding Manhattan.
