The pact meant to keep them "together forever" has only driven them further apart.
The bodies start piling up as the murderous Tenjin Elementary School takes its toll. For the students of Kisaragi Academy's class 2-9, not only life and limb are at stake, but also their very sanity as the curse slowly eats away at them. It's a race against the clock to discover the secrets of this bloody school before all that remain are corpses.
So this is slighty better than the first but still...dumb?
So we move on to another two people stuck in this school. So we know they are in a different dimension or realm than the real world. These ghost in the school are all little dicks who are trying to kill these kids. Why? Just do. So then we get the blond dude (I won't remember anyone's name from this, sorry) and he's helping one of the girls who he is in love with but she has eyes for another. So as they travel and get further things get worse and worse as you can imagine. Then you have the little sister who's maybe 9 or 10? And she of course has to pee and so the whole volume is her trying to find a bathroom and can't just go into a fucking corner to pee so instead they have the person with her (her brother?) find a bathroom.
Then there's some psycho killer who is taking pics of the dead bodies. Then we have new people who help the peeing sister (who never pees by the way) and something isn't right and of course shit goes insane by the end. We end with a flashback of the main characters older sister bathing him and grabbing his penis as a joke while he blushes. THen she hugs him and her tits smacking right in his face. The end.
Good: So again, the actual ghost and pretty cool and the deaths are fucked up. A particular one closer to the end is pretty much super fucked up and effective.
Bad: The edge of having this series enter hentai is there. You can just feel the creator wanting to. Also the dialog still remains overstuffed with exposition and dribble. Like just downright shitty back and froths with little importance. Also the ending scene was unneeded and dumb. Actually, most of the characters are just awful.
This is saved just slightly by the deaths but the series itself isn't really worth your time (or money) and the best I could give this is a 2 out of 5.
I don't care for this. I think my problem is that I have no one to root for. As soon as someone seems interesting, they disappear or we move on to another group of people.
The is Vol 2. of the Corpse Party: Blood Covered series. It contains lots of gore and blood just like the previous Vol 1. This Vol will continue where Vol 1 left off. Getting you right back into the action and story. Once again, another great entry to the Corpse Party series.
Volume one of Corpse Party: Blood Covered was really good - as is the second (*^▽^*)
For the most part, everything about this manga has so far been really interesting and the character developments are truly well done (and at times so surprising!). If I have anything negative to say at all, it'd be that the characters do not always act the way one would expect someone to act in a situation like theirs (because of course it's easy to imagine how one would react when stuck in a haunted school...). This might partially be due to differences in Japanese and Europeans, or maybe it has something to do with the translation - either way it's not something I'm overly bothered with.
On to the next volume; I have to find out more about Tenjin Elementary School!
The series is definitely finding its feet with this omnibus. It still isn't terrific horror, but with new characters and a story that feels less like Higurashi Lite, there's finally a bit of potential showing through.
I need more horror manga, UGH. Once again, this volume delivered everything plus more. I do wish some characters stories would be expanded upon more, especially those who have died, but it’s still really enjoyable!!
