This is a very good book for getting started learning CSS. I had zero prior experience with CSS and I’m confident this book is a good one for just starting out. Thanks Jamie for a great start using CSS.
Good run down of common CSS properties used. Good material for starting out, though I wouldn’t say it covered the fundamentals - just a quick overview.
Good enough for me who’s relearning CSS after too much backend work over the years and not much frontend or fullstack action.
For those that are struggling grasping the concept of CSS, using a more relax/simple approach, this book help to demystify it. For the author, thank you!
As someone who knows basic css I found this book helpful because it pointed out a few things I didn't learn while teaching myself. This book is very clear and easy to understand. I'm not sure if a complete beginner would be able to make sense of it (not because of any fault with the book but simply because it's a book) but if you understand a tiny bit of HTML/CSS I think it's a perfect beginners guide and I would highly recommend starting here.
I read it in kindle format while on a road trip so I can't speak to the helpfulness of the online exercises but I plan to check them out and report back.
This eBook breaks down the components of CSS into manageable chunks, and builds on your knowledge. There are a few grammar issues, but not so many that they distract the reader.
There are also exercises at the end of each chapter, so the student can develop a feel for CSS.
