Blair thought she would never get over her broken past. She'd all but given up. That's until West fell into her life with a bang.

West thought no one could ever see past his epic mistakes. He'd all but given up. That's until Blair walked into his life and blew it to pieces.

For the first time Blair's given a piece of herself away, picks herself off the ground and moves forward. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and it has bad boy rockstar written all over it. That's something she can work for. Something that makes her believe again.
But West is a part of rock'n'roll band, Affliction. Taking Blair on tour was his idea of heaven, but his time is in high demand and trying to be with her isn't working out as well as he'd hoped.
For Blair, being on the road with one of the most notorious bands in rock is a new kind of messed up. One she's not sure is for her…even with West in her bed.
Jake West has kickstarted her heart, but who will be the one to smash it apart?
Or will their unexplainable attraction be strong enough to save them both?

I won't bother with gifs that show me screaming, or all the quotes I have highlighted. I'll just say that I love Jake and Blaire and I really hate what happened to them in this book. I thought that this book or this series would maybe stay away from the stereotypical rockstars are all dogs mentality. But well West just got added to that list ..I don't get why it couldn't have had a slight change that would have him be a little more redeemable in my eyes. At this point I don't know if I'll even read the next one because ..when things get tough he'll just screw it up all over again anyway.
Dog and spots and all of that ya know.

Yep I'm pissed off and heart broken and ready to say screw it.

Maybe it's time to change genres again.

"He was the first person who'd stayed." -Blair

I'm a big fan of Amity Cross thanks to this fabulous series of books! She takes two very emotionally cut people and pieces them together like a puzzle. This book is dual point of view, so we really get a lot of reflection from both the hero and heroine.

"That right here was our MO. Fighting and f*cking." -Blair

Blair is about to start her new life with hottie rocker Jake West and his band as they tour all over Europe. Blair knows this is a big step and she really tries to keep her cynicism to a minimum, but we see her relationship with Jake being perfect to those on the outside looking in. But what's truly heartbreaking about this book is the fact that Blair and Jake get too caught up in external forces that they don't necessarily build but almost get close to breaking.

"Put on a mask, play a part, f*ck 'till I was raw. That was my game and I played it well." -Blair

Overall, I think this book is definitely worthy of 4 STARS out of 5 STARS! There is character building don't get me wrong in my comments above. But what you'll find is this book is to show us that things can't go right until our beloved hero and heroine learn from their own mistakes.

"Why stick the poster on my wall when I could lick the real thing?" -Blair

Unexplainable picks up where book 1 left off.
Blair has said yes to West’s proposal to accompany him on his European tour. She has nothing left in Melbourne anymore and she wants to spend more time with West. Saying yes wasn’t very difficult to do.
Blair thinks she knows what she's getting herself into, but she quickly finds out she may not be cut out for the lifestyle. More specifically, she’s not too sure she can stand the loneliness that comes along with being a rockstar’s girlfriend.

West is still undeniably captivated by Blair and he’s thrilled that she’s agreed to follow him on his tour. He’s already aware of how difficult it’s going to be for her, but he’s hoping she’ll be strong enough to put up with his absence. What he feels for her is so rare and foreign to him, but he desperately wants things to work out for them.

Blair and West’s chemistry is as hot as ever! Their sex scenes might even be steamier than before. I felt more of a connection and romance within their lovemaking. Don’t get me wrong though, they certainly still had their rough and wild moments!

West’s insecurity makes everything spiral out of control. Miscommunication and a dodgy manager wreak havoc upon Blair and West. Havoc that could be the end for them as a couple.

This second installment certainly improved from book 1 and I’ve fallen harder for these two. I want Blair+West to survive. West is prepared to redeem himself and get his girl back. Now the ball is in her court and I’m looking forward to seeing how she’ll handle the situation. West is determined and I know he won’t give up on her without a fight.

Mr. Dark and Dangerous is at it again. Being all hot and sexy and bada**y. Love this series and I loved this book! Blair has decided to risk....well, everything and go on tour with her new and first ever real boyfriend, lead singer of the rock group Affliction. Jake West has fallen head over heels for the first time with this "wildcat" of a woman.

"She wasn't a cold hearted bitch, she just wanted the world to think she was so she could protect herself."

The two are taking their relationship to the next level and it still scares the hell out of Blair. Now that she is on the road with them, she has to deal with all the nasty groupies that go along with it. Things happen. One chapter my mind was screaming, "NOOOOO!" and right into the next chapter, "YES!!!! DO IT!!" I love Blair Hayden. She may be my favorite female character.....although her leather-studded shell is slowly cracking, she is true to herself and not turning into a love sick pile of mush.

This book ends with a breathtaking cliffhanger. Here I come, book three!!

This is the second book in the Rockstar Affliction Series and I couldn’t put it down. West messes up his relationship with Blair and old habits are hard to brake but sadly he and Blair had been set up to fail. She leaves and this book was kind of sad and I was having anxiety. Now it’s the middle of the night and I’m dying to start book three! I really enjoyed this story.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Blair has agreed to go with West on his European tour. Four months in Europe can't be that bad she thought. It beats staying in Melbourne, where she has no job and was living in a run down shack. She is not sure if this is going to work. She has never had a boyfriend, doesn't really trust people. She is used to just screwing and leaving. But for some reason she is willing to give it a go with him.

West has not left Blair's side since she agreed to go with him. They will be leaving tonight for Europe. He is afraid, if he is not right next to her she will bolt. All he knows is that he can't be without her, and the sex is amazing. No one has ever turned him on the way she does. But going on tour with him for four months in Europe is going to be hard. He knows he will have to leave her alone to go do interviews and meet and greets. West is hoping she can handle it.

They arrive at the first hotel in Europe. Blair is awe struck by the fancy suite they are in. But all she can think about is screwing West. Having him play her body like he knows how to. She looks at him and can see by the look in his eyes, he has the same idea. God, I just want to taste her lips, and they collide against each other, falling onto the bed. He makes my body sing like no other. Why can't I ever seem to get enough of her, as West drives into her over and over again. They roll off of each other and lay wrapped up, just as his phone starts to ring. It is Furlough, West's manager. If he doesn't answer it, Furlough will show up at the room. West doesn't want that right at the moment. Blair and Furlough don't get along. He thinks she is just a gold digger, and Blair thinks he is just an ass. So West answers the phone. Yes, we are here. Give me five to hit the shower, and then I will meet you to go do the interview. West goes to get his things together and hop in the shower. Oh hey here, I got Furlough to get you these credit cards, so you can go shopping while you are here. West I don't want your money, that is not why I agreed to come with you. Blair I know this. But I will be gone alot and you will be here alone, besides I am going to want you with me at all the award events and parties. So you will need a dress or two. Go shopping have some fun.

One night while waiting on West to get back, Blair decides she needs a drink and goes down to the bar in the lobby. Walking in she spots Joe, West's best friend and guitar player for the band. She sits and orders a drink, they are talking about how hard it is for her to sit and be alone in the hotel all the time. He tells her how good she is for West and that he would fall apart if she wasn't with him. They spot some groupies walk in along with some paparazzi. So they decide it would be best to leave. They stand and Joe gives her a hug, right as West walks in. She can see the crazy look in his eyes. Joe get your hands off of her, as he cocks his fist back and punches Joe right in the face. She wants to tear into West, but with the paparazzi around she knows she has to wait. Blair pulls West out of there before cameras start going off. Once they are back up in their room, she lays into him. West what the hell were you thinking, that is your best friend. So now you are fucking him. You know what West fuck you I am out of here. She packs her things and leaves.

Fuck what have I done, she is gone. I need to get numb to stop this pain. West calls the Evie, she will give him the coke he is looking for.

So will West fall back into his drug habits, or will he go and look for Blair? Will Blair forgive him and go back after she has calmed down?

I truly love this story between Blair and West. She is a badass girl who won't take shit from anyone. He is a rocker who is trying to get control of his life and kill his drug habit. The chemistry between them is out of this world. The story just sucks you in. You have to keep turning the pages to see what is going to happen next with them. I could not put this down. I highly recommend this book.

I am starting with the end, at the beginning. Amity has me for life. I am no longer just a reader but a follower. She had me in the bar, at the hotel, in the side room at the concert, and in the shower. She made me wet, angry, loved, and want to punch someone in the face.

Blair and West (those are the characters in this masterpiece) are the negative charges at the end of a magnet. They are not people who should be together (in the beginning, this was my opinion). They actually should repeal against each other but when they have the opposite to their charge (him needing to break away due to all his past discretions and she needing to be royally f**ked to get out of her own mind) they just connect. Their bad crap gives them the positive charge that they need.

I can’t give any spoilers about this GREAT story of love, growth, and triumph away. I will say that their love is classic. It is not perfect and with all the flaws they have they are perfect.

Everyone is against this self-destructive relationship. What can you do when no one wants what you believe you need? Nothing, and it sucks. While Blair and West are trying to be the positives in their lives, they are met with negativity. “Sad face.”

Blair is a nomad and West is just…lost. They have no solid ground or constant love that is present, which can be touched. Hence why they bump uglies on the daily. The sex in this book is HOT!!!! I digress…I believe that is one of the main reasons they discover one another. Because they are what each other needs.

I loved that it is book is about a musician. Since Kellan Kyle (Thoughtless series) and Jake Wethers (The Mighty Storm series), I have loved me a music man. I loved that it is about a girl who has no goals or aspirations. I mean, come on. No chick is be a size zero and perfect. This made Blair rock, as a character, so much more to me.

Amity made the characters imperfect which was perfect.

This book is truly a great, wonderful read.

If you like unpredictability, a “not so” prince charming, and a Cinderella with a potty mouth and attitude, this is the best book to read. There is no sweet without the sour and this book will make you think about what you want more, the sweet life or the not so sweet.

Give me the not so, anytime.

Happy Reading.

My stars 4.5

If you’ve read the first book you should know what has happened, or to find out the first book click HERE!.

Blair and West come back after of Unexpected and we were right where they are, together and go of tour with the West band.

This time the stage will be in Europe, and each must confront his inner demons if they want their relationship to work.

If you read the first book you will know that the story is small, and this second book has the same structure, you can read quickly and easily. And that is why this review will be small without spoilers.

We could say that we are on another level of the story and therefore we also find other characters that help give several twists to the story. Our protagonists are the ones who will be narrating the story, everyone has something to say, the intensity between them increases. But as this, doubts, and fears his past will be there.

The story I like it , although it is a mini-history, it keeps you on the lookout and the characters are easy to love. West stressed more as the guy RockStar and Blair is undoubtedly my favorite girl Wildcat.

The author ultimately leaves us wondering what will happen as we will not make easy to discover the end of the story and which I want to know what will happen.

If you loved the first one you will like this definitely has more intensity, more than West with his internal struggle and Blair being direct and honest girl that is, and of course more music.

You probably shouldn’t read this review if you haven’t read the first book in this series Unexpected. Like it’s predecessor, Unexplainable is a rather short read, and picks up pretty much where the first book left off. There will definitely be spoilers for the first book if you read this review, so continue at your own risk.

Blair and West had a hot and heavy encounter that ended up being so much more. Blair and West are both a bit on the damaged side, which ends up causing some issues for them in this book. The book starts off with Blair going on tour with West’s band, since her life in Melbourne didn’t exactly have anything going for her anymore, it was an easy yes. But Blair was not at all prepared for what life is like on the road with a famous rock band, although I don’t think most people would be prepared for it and she has a hard time dealing with it. There’s even an incident with the paparazzi and the manager of West’s band is really not exactly a nice guy and it causes some issues.

West I think has more problems that Blair does. He is way more insecure then I would have thought, and he has a hard time dealing with his own demons, and worse he lets other people kind of put ideas in his head. He really needs to find a way to get his head together.

The one thing really going for this book is that the chemistry between Blair and West is still as off the charts as it was in book one. And surprisingly enough I actually enjoyed reading about their issues, it made me more excited for the next book. I highly recommend reading the first book in the series before getting to this one, but if you like short rock star romances, then this is a series I would check out.

Another amazing book from the author and I'm glad I found her books! I'm having a blast reading her books and getting to know Blair and West! Some of my favorite book characters of all time!

Blair took a chance with West. She gave him a part of a heart and she's finally happy. She thought traveling the world with her rock'n'roll boyfriend and his band, Affliction, was a great idea. Everything is going great...for a while.

Not only does Blair feels like something is missing in their relationship, but West also has no time for her, or their relationship. Blair and West soon realize that making a relationship work while on tour wasn't the smartest thing.

Blair wanted love. She wanted someone to never leave and she's found this with West, but does she trust him too much? She might love him, but with love can come pain. He has the power to fill her heart with love, but he also has the power to break it to a million pieces.

Can their love last? Or has their relationship been doomed from the start?

Another great book from the author Amity and I look forward to her other books in this series! I recommend this book to everyone!

My favorite quotes:

"It wasn't that manly of me to admit to myself, and I felt my b*lls shrinking at the mere thought of it, but I was hoping that love would win this round."

"Old enough to know better, young enough to keep doing it, eh?"

ARC kindly provided by in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free review. 4.00 stars. Cliffhanger.

Blair and West hit the road on a 50 stop international tour. Blair packs up the few things she owns including a truckload of emotional baggage and decides to give West a chance. West manages to break down the hardened shell she has built around her heart. Their relationship goes from lust to must, and these two can’t get enough on each other. Life on the road is not a 24/7 party for rocks new “it” couple. West is still battling addictions, and Blair is starting to get tired of dealing with groupie sluts and the bands' ass clown band manager. Can West and Blair learn to trust? Is Blair just Wests' latest addiction?

What a kick ass second book from newbie Aussie author Amity Cross. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Book two exceeded my expectations. I was a little bummed that there's a cliffhanger...but I have to say I'm over it. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this sexy, dysfunctional rock and roll tale of the heart.

This is a rock 'n roll story with an edge. Our main characters are damaged either by addiction or a horrific past. Looking for an escape or an anchor to life, they meet for one night stand. Little did they realize that one night would change their lives forever.

Reading this trilogy made me realize how brittle we are when we are in our early twenties. For someone like Jake West, hitting big as the lead singer of Affliction, is more than he can handle. It sounds like an "already told" story but this one is different. How? Our author is able to bring us face to face with the emotions that rule and drive West to almost destruction. When he meets Blair, she becomes his salvation. Or does she?

Blair has had a horrific past, including witnessing the domestic abuse of her mother by her father. Although they are no longer alive, Blair is alone and errant in the wind. There is no anchor, no purpose and apparently no future. Dead end job, no skills to speak of, she is smart but with no means to better herself so she can at least pay her bills.

I love rock 'n roll stories. This one hit home because it made me part of the struggle our two characters go through in seeking a better future. Rock on!

Self destruct. But is it really self destruction when your weasel of a manager is enabling it. This book is a car crash just waiting to happen. Between West's addictions and Blair's horrendous past it's hard to believe they'll get a happy ever after. I think these two mistake need for love, or emotion anyway. They're like magnets, drawn to each other, but it's unhealthy and doomed to failure. Despite knowing what's going to happen when you turn the page, it's so inevitable, you still do it, hoping that you're wrong.

I think the saddest thing for me is when Blair realised she might have made a friend. To get to her age and not know what friendship is, that's a harsh and cruel life.

I love Blair's acid comebacks, her dirty mouth, and the way she's not afraid to stand up to people. I don't love how broken she us when she's alone.

There are a couple of little cheer out loud moments, but this book is more about falling apart than building back up.

I'm looking forward to book three.

Unexplainable, is the second in the The Unexpected series. It picks up where Unexpected left off, Blair who has never left Australia, is packing up and going with West and his band on their European Tour. Blair thinks she knows what she is getting into she has nothing left for her in Melbourne and has a brand spanking new passport and is looking forward to seeing the world and being with West.

West is falling and falling fast for Blair, but he has business to take care of, concerts to perform and practice for. And a bastard manager Furlough, who may or may not have the bands best interest in mind. I have to admit I didn't like him from the start.

The sex is sweeter at times but still hot as hell. The problems start coming in this book. I kept going back and forth sometimes I'm on Team West and sometimes on Team Blair. But, in the end you want them to get their happy ending.

I cried a little for Blair at the end of this one. I sure hope that West can unscrew his disaster!

Unexplainable is part 2 of a 3 part serial about Blair and West's love affair. You need to read Unexpected before this one. (There are also some additional books in this series covering other characters that we meet)

Unexplainable picks up right from Unexpected. Blair and West share some pretty steamy scenes again here but this time, we are given more from the characters emotionally and as they start to forge a relationship together the more I felt that I was starting to buy into them and connect with them.

What we get from Unexplainable is a true look into how you don't always get that HEA that you think is coming and boy how you need to work at relationships. We see Blair and West experience this first hand. And boy the ending.....I knew Amity had sucked me in as soon as I felt my eyes welling up.

This was a great second book and I felt this serial was much better than first and definitely a series worth continuing with.

Ok so I tried with this series but I'm officially done.
I think Amity writes very well but the story is sorely lacking in anything substantial.
It runs between endless sex scenes (which I skipped because how many throbbing pussies and hard cocks can you read about) and fairly dull conversations between the two leads.
Blair has decided to join the band on tour but is then pissy at all the female attention West gets. Hello? She then gets all trashy and bitched up and the whinging did my head in. She plays that victim card like a pro and it was painful to have to read. West goes and falls off the sobriety wagon in true rocker cliche style too.
I bought the box set but I'm writing the others off I think.
I'm not done with this writer because Beat was great. Maybe as her debut story this was all she had and I'm counting on some growth in her storylines in later books. I want to support a Melbourne writer but I need more than bitch fights and fucking every ten pages.

The emotions and the roller coaster ride between Blake and Jake continue on in this story. You will fall in love with Blaine and this girl has balls of steel. She stands her ground but slowly loses herself travelling with Affliction. Fame and Money is not Blaine's thing. Jake is enjoying himself so much because he has finally found that connection that he has been looking for but with the band in high demand in the UK and his manager always up his arse about things, Blaine and Jake slowly start to lose that connection.

Blaine stands her ground through the hard patches with Jake and giving him a piece of her heart, while Jake struggles to lose the girl that has made him feel something again especially with his music. Until one night where Jake has a relapse and Blaine loses her faith in Mr Dark and Dangerous.

Please be aware that this book leaves you with a cliff hanger and you will be wanting to pick up the third book.

This book was great! Obviously Blair goes on tour with him. It takes a ton of trust and not to fall back on her insecurities. This book has a lot more to it then the hot sex scenes and then relationship between them! It touches base with a lot of issues that people experience, insecurity, unable to trust from being hurt, and addiction! There is a lot more underlying in this book touching these subjects and how people are and some if the outcomes. I know plenty of people wrote lesser reviews due to a situation but again it brings to light one of those subjects that we all probably know someone who suffers from, I'm glad it is brought up... all you have to do is really read the book and see it for all that it is! I am happy to go to the next!

OMG what an ending. I need book three like I need air and water. I love Blair even more. She's one bad ass chick and love her attitude. She don't take no ones BS. She stands for what she believes in. She guards her feelings and I don't blame her. And West god I love him. But damn did I wanna choke the shit outta him. What was he thinking?? I love the two of them together and hope book three ends the way I want it to. Not saying anything more. Zipping my lips. I highly recommend this to everyone. No whiny female character just one bad ass bitch. Love love love this series.

Loved this book! I am so addicted to this series, I devoured this instalment in one sitting and have been left desperate for more.

Blair and West try to make their connection last as Blair joins Jake on tour. Their steamy relationship is all consuming but outside factors start to interfere with their relationship. Will Blair be able to handle everything thrown at her or will she run again?

I adore the characters in this series, everything that they go through tugs on the heartstrings and by the end I was shouting at my kindle. I can't wait to read the next instalment to see how it all pans out.

Emotional and captivating, The Unexpected Trilogy grabs you at the cove page and doesn't let you go until the very last page and even then you are left with wanting more!

The Unexpected Trilogy is an unforgettable, beautiful, lovely story about an imperfect love that despite all the obstacles, it could lead to the most amazing thing.

Amity Cross has the ability to make her characters become real and you feel every emotion that they are going through. Blair and West have a sizzling-hot chemistry that is so freaking hot, you'll be left in a puddle of lust. This trilogy is intense, painful, and very much alive.

This is the second book in the Unexpected series and continues where the first book left off. In this book West takes Blair on tour with the band. There are twists and turns and lots of steamy sex as is only expected of Amity Cross. Blair is still very apprehensive about her relationship and has not completely placed her trust in West because she feels that he will break her heart. West is too busy and caught up in his own issues to really notice that Blair is distancing herself from him. Blair’s mistrust puts a stain in the relationship and that teamed with Jake’s mistakes make for a very interesting story.

This was on okay novella. I would have liked a little more of a story line at the beginning to go along with all the sex scenes. Just about all of the first half was sex. Don't get me wrong, I love a steamy scene, and these were steamy. But I like a story line to go along with it.

The second half really picked up with the story. Blair went with Went on Afflictions U.K. tour.

Will Blair be able to handle everything, or will she end up running? Will West handle it all, or will he relapse?

Love could be so easy for these two. They could have had their HEA but both are so damaged, so broken that I don't think they know how to put the past to bed and move on.

There are more downs than ups in this book as things don't work out as either imagined. I felt so sad for Blair when it seemed like she hadn't even had a friend before.

I love the writing style of MS Cross. I love how she weaves tragedy that tugs at the heartstrings.

I have no choice but to continue with this series because my heart is definitely with Blair.

This was a fast read.. Not a lot of pages in the book & hardly a
story line except for the sex scenes which at this point, I'm
skipping..There's only so much you can read about "sex" unless
you are looking for a book with that as it's story line.
Since that's not what I was looking for & I have the other books
I'm going to see where this couple goes & if the next book is
just as unenjoyable as the others I'm not finishing the series..

Sorry, I don't need to read books that remind me of granny porn.
Just not for me..

Hot, sexy, and emotional read. West was on the verge of falling over a cliff and Blair was the rope holding on to him. But was Blair enough because Blair had her own demons to slay. West thought he was saving Blair from all the drama but instead he was killing them both. Great story. I actually shed a tear at the climax part between Blair and West at the end of the story. I can’t wait to read the last installment.
