**What's Left of Me is an Amazon Top 100 Best Seller**
"I am not sure what to say about this book, but Oh! My! Goodness! I loved it!!! ... Amanda's writing was as impeccable as ever. I felt every single emotion that the character's experienced."~Books, Books, Books
This bundle includes both books in the What's Left of Me duet series.
Life works in mysterious ways.
Four years ago I became known as the girl with cancer.
I refuse to cry.
And I refuse to give in.
A relationship with a man is the last thing I’m looking for right now, but one night with Parker changes everything. He is persistent, and he knows what he wants.
Me.
He doesn’t treat me like I’m fragile.
But he doesn’t know, and I’m not ready to tell him.
What if it changes everything? Tragedy found me when I was seventeen.
Love found me when I was twenty-one.
My name is Aundrea McCall, and this is my journey.
**This bundle is for mature readers due to sexual content**
This was OK. There were touching spots but it just seemed to much at times. Aundrea and Parker never fought or disagreed beside the cancer and heart scares there wasn't much that gripped me. There were a few spots with Wendy's accident but all the drama and they get to the hospital and she broke her arm. There was no touch and go or worry. All the drama and tears and they get there and it's a broken arm. The big scare with the cardiomyopathy and then she takes pills and she is fine. You think she has a heart attach and it is a panic attack. Just all this drama that turns out to be nothing it crests and then falls flat. I think the most gripping part of the book is Amy. I read from cover to cover but by the 50% mark I was skipping over the sex scenes because it just got old. I just think there were so many things the author could have done with the book that would have made it a "could not put down" book but a lot of it just fell flat to me.
As far as the first book in this series. We meet Dre and her family. She is 21 with the world on her shoulders. She is going through things that hopefully none of you will ever have to. In comes Parker, the hot perfect one night stand. That we later find out, it goes much deeper. And what a small world it is. This author does an excellent job with pulling you into feeling what these characters feel. He facts through a lot of this were pretty much dead on. I went through and watched my brother-in-law with a lot of the things Dre struggled with and went through. Wow and even family, wrote so much like real life. I don't know if I want to send the author hate mail, or fan mail for that ending. Brilliant. I would highly recommend book one. 5*
Book two. 3* This book didn't do it for me the way book one did. Don't get me wrong, the writing was just as good, the book wasn't for me. If you like a book with very little angst and lots of fluff..... This book is for you. I don't want to give away anything and ruin book one for anyone. Overall.. I would recommend this series
This is an amazing series and a must read for everyone!
The author pulls at your heart strings left and right and leaves you wanting more. By the end of the series, you feel like you know the characters and that you were there for them thru it all.
Although there is relationship drama in this series, I was so impressed with the fact that the author chose you make it about really issues, and not about trivial things that you see so often. You can truly picture yourself in the situation and left going, "Oh my! What would I do?"
The characters share my idea of what realist true love it all about. They are both perfectly imperfect and only have eyes for each other. You can't help but want to cheer them on, and pray that in the end it all works out and that the fight for life was all worth it.
There is sexual content, but honestly if you are not into books like that, read this anyway. You can skip over those parts and still enjoy an amazing book. The plot holds it's own with no doubt.
I am so glad that I found this series and will recommend it to all.
What's Left of Me Series Box Set ( What's Left of Me,What's Left Of Us)By Amanda Maxlyn
What do you say when you get a book that makes you cry almost as if you're living it yourself. Cancer patient Aundrea was A strong woman all by herself but Parker helped to make her stronger. They met an along the way they fell in love and so did I.Romance at its finest. My heart was breaking for all Aundrea had to go through, but what made it better for her was after a while she was not along she had Parker the man with the wink.I loved the both books,my favorite part if I have to choose is when he tells her she is his life his eternity his forever and always. He tells her it doesn't matter what happens in life as long as they live it together.I got the book from Amazon for 1.00$ best 1.00$I ever spent.I gave the book a 5 star because it doesn't go any higher.I loved the so if you read this go out and get it if you haven't already I just happen to run across it ,don't know if the author has more books but I will be on the lookout for more from this lady.
I bought the "What's Left of Me" boxed set because it was on sale and it sounded like a good love story. Good doesn't even come close to describing these books. Both books in the series were emotional, well-written and suspenseful. I think I used a box worth of tissues crying in both the first and second book. This author is so good at writing realistic dialogue and complex character development. I cared about every single character and never wanted the series to end. She was also on the mark when describing the feelings of the character going through her illness and those around her who are also affected. I hope she writes more in this series but I'm looking forward to reading whatever she writes next.
I got this set of books from bookbub at a discount. Never read Amanda's work but oh.my.gosh; I'll start following her now. There are so many emotions wrapped up in her words as she's telling the story. Even though she had assistance with the medical terminology, I was so blown away by the details she used to tell her story. When I was reading her books, I actually felt she was writing about herself or someone very close to her. Amanda was able to bring the reader to actually "feel" what the characters were experiencing. The author writes with wit, humor, intensity, honesty. These two books are a good read.
This is a book about Aundrea, who has been battling cancer since her teenage years, and about her romance with Parker. It's a story about Aundrea overcoming her fears in order to live a normal life that she never thought was possible, until her knight in shining armor arrives. There are several other characters in the book that aid in adding to the storyline. Honestly, once I picked this book up, I could not put it down!!! After a few sleepless nights, I finally completed it. This series was absolutely amazing, breathtaking, and had me crying. I recommend this to fans of romance novels and those who just love a good love story.
I was gifted these books from "All about them Books" and I absolutely loved it! I cried all the way to the end! This is the first book that I have read from this author and I can't wait to read more from her! I love how she made the story come to life and feel so real that my heart hurt for Aundrea, her family, and Parker! I am so glad that things worked out for Aundrea in the end and that everything is now ok with her, and that she gets to live a long happy life with her family
everyone who reads this be warned that you need to keep a box of tissues close by!
I loved the first book the best. It was so well written and I immediately wanted to be best friends with Aundrea. I rooted for her and Parker and just loved the progression of their relationship. I did not like the beginning of the 2nd novel and tbh, it made it really hard for me to keep reading because it upset and angered me. I'm glad I kept reading because the rest of the book returned to its original form and finished beautifully! I highly recommend this read but be prepared to cry!
What an amazing Box Set. Very emotional and such a roller coaster. The book is filled with laughter, love some sex and a whole lot of heartfelt drama. I loved Parker and Aundrea as well as the other characters form the book. It's a great read and I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a good story that shoots straight to the heart and want some laughs, a good romance and real life situations, this is your book. LOVED IT! LOVED IT!
I bought What's left of Me and then bought this in the box set when I saw it. After reading What's left of Me, I did want more but didn't know if I would get it. This book touched me like the first one did. I cried I laughed and I wanted everything to work out for this. And who wouldn't want a husband like Parker. I couldn't put this book down to even write my own book. I love Amanda's writing and look forward to what she has in the future. Thank you for the wonderful read!
I loved it! Not my normal books and it was great! Had my heart stop at the end of the first book!! So good!! So close to tears... I loved it right from the the beginning . The love that she had to fight for through her cancer and everything else was well worth it. Parker was hot and amazing knew he want her right from the first sight ! Never backed down . Great love story! Would read more from author!
This box set was so much more then I could've asked for and I fell in love with the main characters from the moment the series began. Each book in the series is written beautifully and the trials and tribulations of the main characters (Aundrea & Parker), plus her family and friends, is both heart shattering and warming all at once. I highly recommend this series!!!
Wow when this first came out I didn't want to read cause i knew it was about a girl with cancer and made you cry. So I waited, I never should have waited. It was I major tearjerker, but in a good way. She made it seem so real, like you could really see it happening. There was one major sad part in the first book,I didn't think I could go on. I did, then I thought wow. Totally amazing
I read What's Left of me and when I seen there was a second in the series I had to get it about helping each other in this book get over their fear of her cancer and getting a life together.
It's really hard to write a review for such an overwhelming story.. Amazing! That's all can say right now! The rest is on my blog: http://fromchikawithlove.blogspot.co....
This was my first book reading since graduating from high school TWO years ago and OH MY GOSH I wish I had discovered this book sooner!!! I adore Aundrea and Parker’s character. I love how from the moment they met there were strong vibes between them.
(Based on the way he is described in the book, Parker Cade Jones is 😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘😏😏😏😏😏😏❤❤❤❤❤ Just saying).
I love the relationship they build and I like how their romance isn’t anything extraordinary, but simple yet beautiful. ALSO — I may or may not have had an inner mental breakdown when Parker finally learns that Aundrea has cancer and he finally told her that he was in love with her 💕💕💕💕 I literally almost screamed while reading that part... and it was almost two o’clock in the morning.
This is definitely one of my favorite books of all time!!! Amanda Maxlyn is a truly gifted writer and I cannot wait to read more of her work.
What an emotional roller coaster this was, especially the last chapter of the first book ( my heart was in bits). The second book really had me wishing i was not reading in public as tears were in eyes. ery good hook.
