Kit Lennox came to Hollow Haven to disappear. She's about to discover she was meant to be found.
After fleeing her controlling ex-alpha with nothing but two suitcases and a desperate hope for freedom, Kit just wants to rebuild her life in peace. Her plan is lay low in a cozy mountain duplex, avoid complications, and figure out who she really is when no one's trying to control her.
But Hollow Haven has other ideas.
There's Jonah—the steady single dad whose seven-year-old daughter immediately claims Kit as family. Micah, the gentle baker who creates custom comfort teas and sees straight through to her healing heart. And Reed, the protective handyman who upgrades her security and makes her feel safer than she has in years.
When her dangerous past tracks her down, Kit faces a run again, or trust the three alphas who've been patiently showing her what real love looks like. But as her heat approaches and old threats turn violent, she discovers that the strongest nest isn't built with blankets and pillows—it's built with chosen family, fierce protection, and three alphas who know exactly how to help an omega reclaim her power.
She came to Hollow Haven broken. But she's about to find out that even broken pieces can be beautiful.
A steamy small-town omegaverse romance featuring healing through love, found family magic, cozy autumn vibes, one brilliant pup who orchestrates the perfect pack, and three devoted alphas who prove that the best claiming happens when you choose to stay.
DNF at 50%+. All of the characters fell flat for me and if I had to read the word “protective/protectively” one more time I was going to scream. Get a thesaurus.
I enjoyed this book, it was super cozy and I loved that the small town was really portrayed throughout the entire book. The only thing that was a bit lacking for me personally was the connection between the main characters. It gave the vibe of insta-love but also slow burn at the same time. We didn’t really see in depth relationship building/bonding, it was more on the side of “her scent is great and I love her now” if this omegaverse had the aspect of scent-matches or fated mates I can see that but because in this omegaverse those tropes were not used it just didn’t justify the instant love the alphas had for her in my opinion. Otherwise the book was good, the drama wasn’t overdone and the side characters weren’t confusing or overwhelming. Spice was like half a 🌶️ it’s not closed door by any means but there was only one spice scene (there is a bonus scene if you sign up for author’s newsletter) and it was during her heat. Also before her heat hit, she had only shared a kiss with one of the alphas so going from zero to heat was a contributing factor to not feeling much depth within their relationship.
It has potential but could use a good amount of editing, there’s a lot of repetitive narrative (quotes, words and even whole paragraphs, if I had to read the phrase “When was the last time….” one more time I was going to loose it), characters that pop out of nowhere in the scene, characters addressing facts or conversations that it seems they had off the record because we readers didn’t even know about it, lack of information or context.
And then I like Charlie’s character but she talks and thinks like a much older person, sometimes I thought that an adult was giving a super depth speech and it was her 👀
All the nesting information felt off, it didn’t make sense that Charlie’s designation manifested so young and the fact that Kit wanted to share something so sacred to an omega, like the nesting, with a stranger, Ik is a kid but is a kid that you don’t know and broke in to your house in the middle of the night
It's cute and sweet, I just wasn't convinced they were 'in love'. It felt like friends who just slept with each other in her heat. There's zero intimacy outside of that heat (chapters 22-25) and I'm not referring to s-x. I'm talking hugs, embracing each other, sweet talk, hand holding, intimate gestures or even thoughts outside of they smell safe.
Be prepared going in, it's pretty repetitive. Expect a lot of 'when was the last time someone' did this or cared about me in that way etc., there's also phrases, dialogue and thoughts that are repeated throughout too.
Marcus (her controlling ex) is the driving force behind this book, he runs from him fearing her life but there's nothing to support that other than he was controlling. We don't get any flashbacks etc which keeps the book really light but you also miss a little too. He's also dealt with by chapter 21 (60%) the rest is kinda just an extended epilogue.
I'm about 45% of the way through this book and it's driving me batty. Repeatedly, something is discussed between two characters, and then brought up immediately after like they hadn't just talked about it.
For example, character A will say "I do this thing and this is how i learned", then two paragraphs later, character B will ask "how did you learn to do this thing you do? ".
One moment the omega is meeting new people and not ready to tell them her story, but in the same conversation, she talks about her past like she's already shared it and they know all the details.
I'm not disliking the overall story, but it does need further work...
59% good grief, this is melodramatic. It continues to be repetitive.
60% I quit. I'm still marking this as read. I deserve credit for getting this far.
Could do with a lot more editing. Conversations never had, then spoken about, then actually had later. Characters were kind of one dimensional. Hoping the next book improves. Also, by over half-way through no one has even kissed and she’s literally going into heat so v slowburn for ov imo. Skimmed after 60%
Honestly it’s such an enjoyable story & I absolutely loved the characters. I look forward to more of the town’s shenanigans. However I do think there’s some editing to be done. There’s a decent amount of repetition whilst also not giving us enough information. I understand small towns = no privacy BUT Micah name drops his ex and while we know about her sister you never see him telling her this information she just knows. It’s expressed multiple times that she’s an artist yet I left the book feeling like I knew nothing about reed. I think there is a lot of background that goes untold. Personally I loved how long the book took to get spicy but I also wish in that time we learned more about her love interests. I also think that there should be some more elaboration on how they win her over. You see Charlie weasel into her heart with her genuine love, but why does she trust any of the guys? The only really bothersome thing to me was names being repeated. Why do we need two Sarah’s or two Emma’s? It doesn’t particularly get confusing but it also to me it feels like the author forgot about the original characters with those names.
I would consider this the first draft, solely because I absolutely see the vision the author had & I very much enjoyed said vision… but I would’ve loved this book to be a bit longer for added details. Overall I do think it’s a really good story.
Very very good first book for this author. I’ve been into sweet cozy romances lately and I am happy to have found this book. I need to clarify that I only read smut, but not for the spicy scent weirdly. The first few years I read this type of literature I did read all the spicy scenes. Several years later there’s generally nothing new to be done so I tend to skip most of it. This author handles spicy scenes very well. There was only one heat that was outlined in detail. And for that I’m grateful. I’m not against it, but again it’s very repetitive when you read as much as I do. “They why read this type of book?” You may ask, the stories are unique and the alternate worlds interesting. I love the dynamic of the pack as a whole. And can Charlie be any stinking cuter?!?!? A lot of books in this genre with children don’t typically give the character much of a role other than being there. I loved how engaged Charlie was and so precocious. She was included as a real and significant part of the story. So good. I will read the next book when it comes out in a few weeks, but I also hope there’s stories about some residents of the town as well. Happy reading friends
After a relationship gone wrong in Chicago, Kit finds herself in the quaint small town of Hollow Haven. From the moment she arrives, she’s drawn in by the scent of three very alluring Alphas.
She quickly meets Jonah, the Alpha next door, and his lively 7-year-old daughter, Charlie a whirlwind of energy and wisdom who immediately steals the show. Soon after, Micah, the sexy town baker, stops by with a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies, and Reed, the charming handyman, comes in like a freight train to welcome Kit to town. These three Alphas quickly become protective of Kit in the sweetest ways.
Charlie was such a delightful part of the story fun-loving, smart, and full of heart. I especially loved the bond she shared with Kit. Their conversations about Sarah were touching, and I appreciated how Kit honored her memory with love and care.
This book had just the right balance of heart, heat, and small-town charm. I couldn’t put it down!
This was a great cozy and sweet Omegaverse book, set in a small-town. The book was well-written and had great characters and overall, was a great read.
Kit, the FMC, was an omega on the run from a not so great relationship. Starting over, she ends up in the small town of Hollow Haven. She is definitely a bit damaged when she gets there, but the town itself and the people there help her see her true worth. This is a great Omegaverse story showing an omega fight to find herself again. I loved the town and its people and their immediate adoption of Kit when she showed up.
Kit’s alphas were also extremely well written and perfect for her and her needs. Micah, Jonah and Reed were the perfect combination of sexy, possessive and loving and exactly what Kit needed.
The star of this book though, was Charlie. She was honestly such a cute little girl that was clearly an omega in the making, with her ability to know what Kit was feeling and/or needed.
Kit, an Omega of unknown age and origin, moves to a small town to escape her ex Marcus for reasons that aren’t super clear or well developed.
She meets three generic nice guy alphas: Jonah, a baker; Reed, a handyman; Micah, a single father. Micah’s daughter is a 7 year old named Charlie who is an intellectual and emotional genius or something.
Kit compares everything anyone does to her ex, Marcus. Marcus is terrible in every way. We have no idea why Kit was ever in a relationship with him. Marcus stalks her in a fairly boring way, and then eventually breaks into her house and acts crazy. He also files paperwork that indicates Kit entered into a contractual pre bonding arrangement with him, but we have no idea what this means. Like, if it was real, would the court order Kit to go with him? Are the police supposed to arrest her?
I don’t know how long Kit lives in this town before they bond. A couple of days? Honestly… who really cares. I’ve put more effort into this review than the author put into developing the characters of this book.
This was a great cozy romance and I fell in love with Charlie instantly. She did not act like a 7 year old but I let some things pass because books are fictional.
I just really wish there was more editing or ARC reviewing done, there were several instances where something was said or repeated in a slightly different way, like the author forgot what she wrote on the page before. There were other minor errors scattered around, like some parts being worded awkwardly or a little confusing. None of these things were so bad it made me book hard to read, but it was enough for me to notice and feel like the story had a lot more potential that it just failed to unlock.
That said it's sweet, it's funny, moderately spicy, and oh so cozy with lots of found-family and hurt-comfort vibes. I loved that we saw some of the everyday interactions. I found it be a good book to read in between other reads, and I look forward to the next one coming out in August
I literally stumbled upon this book after reading another omegaverse book and I am so glad I took the chance. I loved the cozy vibes and the way the alphas took care of their omega. They took the extra caution with her while still being the alphas they were. I would have like a little intimate connection with the alphas before her first heat hit but other than that it was an enjoyable read. I would consider this a slow burn with a little angst and suspense.
I loved the entire start of this book. The connection the FMC felt with Charlie was amazing. I loved all the MMCs and their protectiveness. My biggest issue with this book was the lack of spice and intimacy between the MCs. I understand the FMC was fragile but that part just seemed kind of off to me considering that she was going through not one but two heats technically in the book but we only hear spice on the one.

DNF @ 7%. So odd for an omegaverse. The omega moves into a new place and the day after (at 6am no less) finds the next door neighbours 7 year old girl making a nest in her spare room (never heard of an omega designating that young!) and then wants to build a nest TOGETHER. Which the FMC agrees too…
A nest with another omega, that’s a CHILD of a random dude she’s had a 2 minute conversation with who lives next door.
This was a low conflict and super sweet read which was exactly what I needed. If you are someone who loves consent and also needs constant reassurances that you are loved and not a burden, then you're going to love this. Yes there are some in consistencies in the story and things are very much a fantasy in the realm of authentic communication and things are repeated but it doesn't ruin the story. Its very Hallmark and happy and just really sweet!
quería algo bonito y cuco, y tenía pinta. Y para eso ha servido. Pero también aclara cero sobre las reglas de ese universo, está lleno de repeticiones y de contradicciones, y su formación de vínculos pasa del cero al cien sin una causa que lo explique.
This was a brilliant cozy omegaverse read with a heart warming story and characters that just melted your heart. I enjoyed every moment whilst reading it and I would recommend it.
I couldn’t finish, dnf’d at 57%, there was a lot of jumping around logistically wise. It was a duplex house, but the other times it was made to seem as two different houses. There didn’t seem to be any chemistry between the characters
Honestly, I wanted to love this book but for me the story ended up dragging. I think I wanted more. It wasn't terrible, but it started to feel repetitive.
