Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.
The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
This book was a gift for my children and we've enjoyed reading the stories together. The content is fine but the misspelled words are shameful. Given the big name and deep pockets of Disney, I was surprised to find two errors (so far) in the Tiana story: Forth instead of fourth and desert instead of dessert. I can't believe Disney ran spellcheck rather than hire a proofreader. Plus, kids are going to think these spellings are correct for the intended meanings. We have read most but not all of the stories, so I'm paying extra attention to the remaining ones for typos. I expect more from Disney.
This collection is filled with so many favorite Disney characters. I guarantee your favorite one makes an appearance in this book. I loved reading this to my daughter & especially loved the beautiful pictures that had such vibrant colors. I can't wait to open this up again next year and read it again during the holidays!
I’m a big fan of Disney movies, so I liked to see stories following some of my favorite characters. I would have liked a Beauty and the Beast Christmas story though. The Little Mermaid and the Frozen ones were probably my favorite.
Children's Christmas books are the best in my opinion. And a Disney Christmas book? Yes please. This was a super cute quick read. My favorites were Winnie the Pooh and Frozen stories. This is great book to read to your little brothers or sisters, or nieces and nephews. 4/4 stars.
This is a more recent Christmas collection, including short stories for the holidays even from some of the more recent movies.
1. Toy Story: A Toy Christmas 2. Tangled: Ghosts of Christmas Past 3. Mickey Mouse: Mickey's Christmas Carol 4. Dumbo: Dumbo's First Christmas 5. Winnie the Pooh: The Sweetest Christmas 6. Přináší magickou vánoční atmosféru a představuje známé hrdiny v neznámých příbězích. Nejvíc jsem si zamilovala příběh Ariel, Pinochia a i Ledové králoství mělo krásný příběh. A samozřejmě Mickeyho vánoční koleda je nádherný příběh. Doporučuji
Disney books are never high on my list, however the Grandkids love this book and I’ve read it at least four times all the way through to them. The kiddos would give it a five rating, I would give it a two, but since there are two grandkids, and only one Grandma, in fairness, I’ve rounded the rating to a four. Still, there are just so many excellent books for kids and this simply isn’t one of them. Also I have an aversion to Disney illustrations.
A very sweet, cozy collection of Christmas-themed stories staring beloved Disney characters. Some of my favorites were those for Beauty and the Beast (obviously, it's my favorite Disney film!), 101 Dalmatians, Mickey & Friends, Alice in Wonderland, Princess and the Frog, and Winnie the Pooh. Would definitely read them all again next year around the holidays. Such a comforting escape from the crazy world we're living in these days.
This book was a really nice little read! It has two princess Christmas stories, a Wreck It Ralph, and a Cars story. There’s stories for boys and girls and I love that! I read it to a 4.5yr old little girl and she loved all four stories!
Nice collection of stories featuring many different and favorite Disney characters. This is meant as a present for a three-year-old, so he'll enjoy it with his parents and older siblings. Dinging it for a couple of spelling errors, mentioned in an earlier review.
Rapunzel is confused about what Christmas is really like. Vanellope and Ralph spend Christmas together. Elsa tries to plan the perfect surprise Christmas for Anna. Mater and Lightning sled Christmas day away.

This was a really nice collection of holiday related stories that highlight Disney's characters and how they celebrate. Equal amount of 'girl' and 'boy' stories...
stihly jsme to 😄 některé jsme cetly i třikrát, jiné jednou.. Jediná, která N. nebavila byl Robin Hood a je fakt, ze i pro mě to bylo nejméně zajímavé. Naopak princezny proste vedou :-)
Kids and adults alike just can’t get enough of their favorite Disney movie characters. With that in mind, Disney presents their Christmas Storybook Collection, which contains eighteen holiday stories starring well-known characters. Readers will find Mickey Mouse and friends in a retelling of a classic Christmas story, Lightning McQueen and Mater facing a Christmas dilemma, and even the beloved princesses of Frozen celebrating their first holiday season since the events of the movie. Other movies featured in these stories include The Little Mermaid, Wall-E, Bambi, Pinocchio, and more. The stories are cute and a great length for bedtime reading; they feature a nice assortment of favorite characters and truly embody the holiday spirit that everyone loves and can’t get enough of. The illustrations bring the stories to life while keeping true to the animation styles of the original movies. The only real complaint anyone might have is that there are only eighteen stories in this book! Disney’s "Christmas Storybook Collection" is well-deserving of a place on your holiday bookshelf, and it is sure to be one that the entire family enjoys revisiting every year.

I had a grandchild, I would definitely have a copy of this book, in my home!
It is a wonderful collection of 18 Christmas stories featuring Disney characters including Arielle, Lady and the Tramp, Rapunzel, etc.
There were even some new ones that I had not read before! What a treat! They were Beauty and the Beast, Mickey Mouse, Monsters Inc., Alice in Wonderland The Princess and the Frog.
My favorite story was Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Gift for Chip!
The reason I enjoyed it so much was that I enjoy learning how others celebrate Christmas. I had never heard of putting shoes in front of the fire so that Papa Noel will fill them with treats and surprises!
"Chip blushed and hopped onto the Beasts' shoulder. Then the Beasts presented Chip with the toy horse from his youth. 'This horse is very special to me, and it needs someone very special to look after it. I was hoping that special someone could be you,' the Beast explained.
'I'd be honored,' Chip replied. Mrs. Potts wiped a tear from her eye, and Belle's heart swelled. It was the happiest Christmas anyone could remember."
This is an enchanting holiday collection, that is great to read during Christmas time, or any day, you want your heart filled with the holiday spirit!

Disney fans of all ages will enjoy this collection of classic Disney stories. From Tangled, to Frozen, Bambi, Dumbo, Robin Hood, 101 Dalmatians, the classic Mickey's Christmas Carol, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Wreck Ralph and many more, this collection of short stories features many of our favorite characters celebrating the Christmas holiday.
The short stories are great. Each story is perfect for reading before bedtime. With roughly twenty stories in the book, there are plenty of stories to read through out the month of December, leading up to Christmas. I like young fans will love discovering how their favorite characters celebrate Christmas and the holiday season.
One of the things we loved about the book, is that the illustrations stay true to the Disney characters. Bambi for example, is illustrated the same way movie Bambi is. I like that the illustrations are true to the Disney characters I grew up with, and the more modern day movies my children love.
This collection includes eighteen Christmas stories using characters from different Disney movies. The movies include but are not limited to: Incredibles 2, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio and Lady and the Tramp. Each illustrated story is self contained so the collection can be read in short bursts or long binges depending on the time constraints of the reader. This would be a great collection to read to all Disney lovers. It would make a good gift purchase as well as addition to all library collections that have Disney lovers. I would recommend for purchase.
This 300 page book has dozens of new Disney stories, all centered around Christmas. This is a great book to have on hand and it will have something that all of your children can enjoy whether they like Princesses or Cars or Wreck-it Ralph. The illustrations are very beautifully done (sometimes you can get a Disney book that seems like it was just thrown together, but they obviously put a lot of work into this one). The stories are also heartwarming and great to read during the holidays.
I read this on my kindle. I'm an old lady, with eye problems, so it was hard for me to read, and I needed to magnify it. I didn't think the stories were amazing. I like the theme that ran through the stories, that time spent with loved ones, was the best gift.
I read this book on my kindle, and I'm an old lady, with vision problems. The lettering was very small, and hard for me to read, with out using a magnifier. I did like the theme, that the best gift was being with those you love.
My boys love these large collection books. Especially the Disney ones. This was one of their Christmas presents. They love the Disney characters. I'm as critical of large corporations as anyone. But Disney consistently puts out great stories. In a multitude of different genres.
These stories were great but I'd read a lot of them before. There were a few original ones but others had been in many other collections before. Some of the pictures didn't even really look like the characters from the movies. I was kind of disappointed by this book but it was still fun to read.
