Cupid, God of Love, has not used his bow and arrow to create love in twenty-five years. Being solely responsible for producing love amongst the humans, had proven to be too much for him to handle. His only disastrous mistake made him feel guilty, and thought he deserved to be alone for the rest of eternity. Valentina Hart, a human, has a few problems of her own. A bad break-up and no sense of self worth may be the key to her undoing. When Cupid and Valentina meet, their attraction is instant. But, will that be enough to bring their worlds together, and save each other from the pain they both keep locked away? What happens when the God of Love has lost the will to create romance? Can Valentina give Cupid what he needs to mend his broken heart?
Oh my gosh the warm fuzzies, what a fabulous read. I loved the interaction between all the characters. I found myself chuckling especially with Cupid, Somnus and Hercules. Reminded me of brothers.
Valentina was unexpected for me, I wasn't really sure how to feel about her, but she proves herself to be just what Cupid needs. Cupid, oh Cupid you can’t help but feel for the guy, he was really having a hard time with his choices. I am glad he let Val in.
Somnus is a sneaky God, I think I could totally be best buds with him. He seems so serious I think we need to find him his other half.
What did I like best about the narration… Wen said Pam!!! Yep he did in chapter 2.. Swoon ..I mean hello how freaking awesome was that.. Ok back to the book haha .. I love how both Wen and Kai give each character their own unique voices. They bring each one to life with emotion, you never feel like you don’t know who is in the driver’s seat.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
This was a cute short story!!!! I loved it! I loved the use of Olympus and the different Gods throughout the book. it was sweet, sexy, fun, cute, freaking hilarious, and hot!
I am looking forward to stories about Somnus and Hercules! Maybe even mean old Jupiter bring him to his knees! He deserves to be happy to!
Poor Cupid has closed himself off for caring for 25 years blaming himself for something that wasn't his fault. Valentina bless her heart she has issues of her own including a jerk of a boyfriend that man handles her and Cupid finally steps up and its a snowball down the hill that gets bigger and bigger. She's human he's immortal she will die eventually it would kill Cupid to lose her if he stays what should he do its all the questions that have you wanting him to seek his happiness he deserves. And leave it to his two sneaky best friends to push them further together no matter what the consequences are they want him to be happy. But Cupid has other plans.
Nicole has left this open for two other characters to be written about and I can't wait if she does write them cause I will be getting them!!!!!! You did a fantastic job and I am so glad I purchased this book. Now can someone give me a God of love too?

Cupid who refuses to fall in love because of a tragedy that happened 25 years ago. He blames himself and because he blames himself he will not picked up his bow because he does not want to ever feel the way he does about what happened 25 years ago. Now thrown in the mix, Cupid the God of Love has now fallen head over heels in love with Valentina, but he does not want to reveal himself to her for mnay different reasons. Nicole's writing style is amazing and she made her characters very strong. I loved reading her book it made me feel like i was right their with the characters and feeling their emotions.
I really enjoyed this book and felt It was so well written and very entertaining. Very hard to put the book down. It was so much fun to read, very sweet and loveable! The sex scenes I feel are smoking HOT and keeps your attention. Great Book Nicole. Worth the 5 stars all the way. I really want to also thank my friend for loaning me this amazing book. It is a must buy for me. Will be reading again and again.
WOW a great quick read that was a joy to read , We all have heard of Cupid, but I for one never thought that he would have a story. Our arrow shooting hero has not touched his bow in 25 years because of what he feels he was responsible back then. Bring into the mix Valentina who has issues of her and the woman he worships from afar and what a story. Cupid can not resist going to earth because Valentina needs help, this starts a chain of twist and turns, add his God friends and all I can say is what a great story. I would never have expected such a great story based on these characters . I totally recommend this book 5 star all the way . I was given a copy of this book to read for an honest review, and I will also but the book because I liked it that much. I can not wait for more from this author
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
This is a short story about the God of Love-Cupid who refuses to fall in love because of a tragedy that happened 25 years ago in which he blames himself. His two God friends, Somnus and Hercules try to help him but he refuses their help. There is a mate out there for him, but will he relent and forgive himself so he can find her? You'll have to read the story and find out the outcome. The story pulls you in from the beginning to the end and I really loved it and it has some nice twists. I'm so looking forward to a story about the other two Gods also. Nicole has done a fantastic job on this book.
Have you ever just wanted to stand up and cheer when you finished reading a book? This was one of those moments that I felt that way. Another cute tale from Author Nicole Garcia. I loved the characters in the book. I'm partial to Greek Mythology references anyway and this was right up my alley. I am hoping that the other character's stories will be told in the near future. The way the story was written there was much to be told with the other character's and their histories. I could easily have seen this as a full on novel.
Very promising career ahead of this one! I look forward to watching her grow and the things to come.
This was a wonderful short story. The one and only Cupid doesn't believe he deserves to find true love but he and Valentina were meant to be together. It had me laughing, crying and cheering Cupid and Valentina on to get their HEA. I enjoyed the comic relief Somnus and Hercules brought into the story as well and would love to see if they get their own HEA's. This is the first book I've read by Nicole and am definately looking forward to reading more. I definately recommend this book to anyone and everyone who is a hopeless romantic and loves HEA's!
This was such a sweet take on the God Cupid and how he falls in love with a human named Valentina. There were some humorous antics by his friends Hercules and Somnus, drama, heartfelt moments, and some steamy parts thrown in too. I don't want to spoil the story for ya'll but I do recommend it to anyone who likes romance with a touch of sex.
The end left it open to a future story about Somnus, and I'm sure that there will be one with Hercules too! I'm looking forward to reading them both and any future books by Nicole Garcia.
This book was such a wonderful read, it was filled with love of course and laughter along with a few twists and oh no's. It had it all. Who would of thought the God's had so much pressure on themselves and their powers. I loved everything about Val and when Cupid finally had the opportunity to speak with her.. oh how sweet it is. The story took such a turn that I was not expecting but happy with the results in the end. I would love to read more about these men, such a great read. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Fantastic quick read. Great story on how even the Roman God of Love can come close to losing his one real true love. The storyline includes his Roman God friends who almost cause serious problems for Cupid but come around to help him and Valentina find the true love they both deserve. Nicole leaves the story open for additional books on Cupid's two very close friends. Can't wait for the next book.
Wow what a great love story from a new author. I am really enjoying Nicole's writing style and her unique way she tells her stories. I love all roman god romances so this one pulled me in right away. I thought it was very well written.
It was fun, sweet and oh so loveable! and the sex scenes were smoking HOT!
I can't wait to read what she comes up with next! She will def be on my auto buy list for sure :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was so well written and entertaining I read it in one sitting, cover to cover. I won’t give too much away with this review. Don’t want to spoil it. I loved the characters and the development they all went through. It is such an interesting story foundation that Nicole Garcia spawned. I can’t wait to read all their HEA.
The story line is great. Lots of twists and turns that you don't see coming. I love that Cupid is finally able to put the past behind him and love the woman he is meant to be with. Val opens up a part of Cupid he thought was long dead. The ending is not what I expected, but a welcome one. I read this book twice cover to cover in 2 nights and I cannot wait to read more of Nicole's books.
For 25 years Cupid has shunned his bow and arrow after the tragic death of a young woman. He has feelings for Valentina, but won't allow himself to love her, for fear of destroying her life. Will he overcome his past and allow himself to love? A great, quick read with likable characters. Perfect for a lunch break, or bedtime. Looking forward to more from Nicole!!
Let's start with I just love Cupid and Valentina. Just an wonderful and amazing story about true love!!! This is so a must read!!! I have say I just love the way Nicole writes the wonderful and breath taking stories!!!!!!
Okay seriously I want more! it needs to be longer ;) thats how much I Loved it. So my only complaint is not a legitimate one. It was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with this cute short story and loved her version of the roman gods. Cupid and Vals story is adorable and I want more. Even though the next ones will cover more I can't wait to read more. I love great mythology series and this one is one of my favorites. I claim Somnus ;) I need help I know. I would absolutely recomend this series to someone as a good book to fall into. I loved it. Just check this series out for yourself. :)
This was a great read and for this authors second book she is hitting it out of the park or more like Mt Olympus.
Cupid the God of Love has the hots for a lovely red head named Valentina. But because of something horrific that happened 25 years ago he has sworn off love and being the God he should be.
Valentina attracts the worst men. Stagnant in her current relationship and after her boyfriend decides he wants to take a break Valentina decides to end it and possibly swear off men for a long while. When a beautiful man helps her when she drops her groceries in the street she may have to possibly rethink her decision.
I really enjoy Nicole 's writing style and am excited to see where this series takes off to next.
I was given this book as an arc for honest review. I really liked it . Loved thst the Olympians lived like a normal people on mount Olympus. As Valentina is the object of Cupids desire. He has been watching her for a long while . But he is still hurting from what happened 25 yrs ago . When he sees one of his charges committ suicide after he hit her with an arrow . To bind her to a bad man . So Cupid has been beating himself up until now . Does he dare take ab chance at love and give Valentina the life she deserves. This is the first book I have read by Niciole and she writes a great easy read. That has you cheering for her characters and falling in love with them . Especially the hot men of Olympus . So if you want a great summer read, while you are sitting in the sun . Check her out
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Romance is not a preferred genre of mine, but I love Greek Mythology, so I couldn’t resist.
This is a book about the romance interest and courtship of Cupid; whom we all know as the god of love. I must say; I never thought of the Greek gods as love struck young adults with potty mouths, but they are definitely entertaining this way, a more like “real” people than gods.
Though it’s a romance, it wasn’t “mushy” enough to make me sick, so I like it. It’s a cute fun book to listen to and the narrators did a great job giving each character a unique and fitting personality.
Overall, Cupid’s Heart is a five Boundless Star book! I loved it.
Cupid's heart is a great quick read. There are solid characters and sub-characters... Valentina and Cupid are destined for each other, even though Cupid has been blaming himself over an event he had no control over for 25 years. He needs to know he is loveable and deserves a HEA.
Throw in Cupid's well meaning but trouble making friends Somnus and Hercules and you get God problems which tend to give the book more of a story.
Valentina and Cupid have some steamy scenes which are hot and they have their doubts about love and each other. Over all I enjoyed this book and look forward to more books from Nicole Garcia.
* I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
It was a cute novel about Cupid overcoming his self worth due to a mistake made 25 years prior... he hopelessly finds himself falling in love with a woman, Vanentina.. goes down to earth and helps her, she immediate falls in love with him, he gets in trouble for going to earth, then goes back down when she's confronted by her ex boyfriend and has an altercation with him... makes love to Valentina, on the return to Mt Olympus is confronted and told to make things right..not knowing that his friends shot Valentina with an arrow..but which ONE..the golden or the lead... Very cute, I won't spoil the ending!!
This story was so very beautiful and touching. Any story where true love prevails is a great read for me. I believe that this is one of the best if not the best love story that I have ever read. Nicole, did a fantastic job on this story. I absolutely loved it. This story is revolving around Cupid and his passion. Mount Olympus Gods, all take part reminding me that every one has a story to tell. Every one is meant to be happy with who they are and have love that is considered their own with their significant other. For all you hopeful or hopeless romantics out there...I can strongly suggest that you get this book. It is well worth it. I look forward to her next books.
This was a new author for me,I enjoyed the story I did see a few messed up words but not enough to interfere with the story, I really liked Valentina from the start I did wish that she had not waited three years to leave such a jerk but it all works out for her and Cupid seemed to punish himself for far to long for something he had no control over and that was a bit sad I have never read a book about God's so this was a new experience, I hope you will take the time and enjoy this story. I do hope that we will see a book two or more.
Cupid has quit his job, he carries guilt for something that he couldn't have controlled and as a result just watches his true love, Valentina from up above. He has loved her forever it seems but he will live without her rather than repeating the past disaster. This is a story of healing. Of taking a chance to be with the one you are destined for. And finding out that Love really does conquer all!
Cute short story. Nothing like finding TRUE love...even if its hard to see to begin with. For a quick story, I do recommend. You will even find a couple of laughs in it.
Nice afternoon read. Only thing i was that was different about this book was it length. Even with the shorter length I didn't feel short changed. I cant wait to read more from this author!
If you enjoy Roman Mythology and a hot, sexy romance, give this short book a listen. We all know that Cupid is the one responsible for true love, armed with his golden arrows of love. However, can he find true love for himself?
Cupid feels responsible for a young woman's suicide after shooting her with one of his arrows. After 25 years, he is still haunted by his mistake. However, he has started watching a young woman named Valentina and soon sparks start to fly. His longtime friends Somulus and Hercules add a lot to the fun of this story, with their off-color comments and attempts to show Cupid that he needs to lighten up.
This was a fun read, quick and easy to finish. I especially enjoyed the dual narrations with the male and female voices. Too often, I find myself cringing at a narrator's attempt to sound like the opposite sex. Kai and Wen do an amazing job and really add to the listener's enjoyment.
One warning: DO NOT listen to this book in a public place or where innocent (or easily offended) ears can listen. There are some truly steamy sex scenes that will quickly embarrass you if you do!
