This is the beginning of The Alphabet Game story, Part One: A to J ... It is the first in a series of four novellas, to be released monthly (April-July, 2014). Please note, because this is a serial, ALL of these novellas are NOT stand-alone and ALL (but the finale, book 4) have cliffhanger endings ...b>

Well it was written by my sister, so I could be slightly biased (just a little maybe) but I think everyone should read and see for themselves.
After a chance meeting in a coffee shop, Gabe & Stella collide in a different way, when they join together in a plan of revenge. Of course chemistry cannot be denied and so therein starts something else, an alphabet game between the two, which will push their boundaries. Can Stella escape with her heart in one piece, can Gabe really keep her at arms length?
Combined with a steller (see what I did there ;) ) backup cast of best mate Ronnie (who I love and am looking forward to hearing more from) and sneak peaks of others (hoping the hottie footballer gets a bigger part as well), this novella is one that your one click finger should slip on when its launched on the 13th April 2014.
It may lose half a point with me for Gabe not being uber alpha which is my preference, but it would be churlish of me to do that, and Goodreads doesn't let you do half stars, so it'll have to have the full 5.

I'm still not sure if it was the author’s intention of getting so many laughs, but this hot steamy story certainly had me in stitches! What a little gem of a book. It didn't matter in the slightest that I'm not that keen on reading short stories either because when I finished it, all I wanted was more!
Things are not what they seem from the very beginning. Stella is on her way to a job interview but before going to her appointment, she is literally bumped into while waiting for her daily Latte. Say no more about as this as it’s a crucial turning point in a plot that doesn't move, it flies! Not only is her interviewer sex on legs, but she also finds herself in a very embarrassing situation.
Stella’s best friend’s personality is described to perfection. She loves a drink and couldn't care a dam about the time of day. Nosy as hell, Stella always fills Ronnie in all her sexapades and in return, gets advice from her. Both of them are born with a silver spoon in their mouths and even though Stella has no need to work, she has a devious plan to bring down a person that she hates with a passion and the only way of doing this is by working for Mr. Sex on Legs! She is portrayed as an innocent young woman but when she catches on to the game and hits the sack, well, well, well, what a sex fiend she blossoms into. Gabriel Gregory is an ace throwing the innuendos around and if you like hot sticky sex scenes which I might add, are rife throughout the book, you won’t be let down.
The author has a knack with the banter between all the characters. The storyline is brilliant, the grammar impeccable and the title is apt. All I can say is that I so looking forward to reading and reviewing The Alphabet Game #2. Keep the good work up Ms Long. Bravo.
I received a copy of this for an honest review by the author through a goodreads forum. I really did not get the sense of this book, The first book of a series is suppose to set up the story and this do that for me . I understand its a novella but I have read novellas that are paced and done perfectly. By the end of this I was still left very confused what the main character's problems are . The relationship between the main characters .I did not feel the chemistry between the characters . Everything just wasn't to my suit.
This is the first book I have read by this author…might actually be her first published book, but anyhoo…it was great!
Stella is out for revenge and enlists Gabe into helping her. But Gabe has other ideas and uses Stella’s need for help, to lure her into a game of his own….The Alphabet Game.
Oh wow is that a good game!! Hot, sexy situations without being smutty or corny. Andie writes with an obvious passion…much like the way Gabe plays the alphabet game!!
This book sets the story up nicely but does end on a cliffy!
This is a short short but it's not sweet, it's as sexy as hell !!!! I really enjoyed this story, Andie packs a lot into a short story.
Stella has been trying for the last two years to get a job at the law firm that her stepfather uses, you see she has a plan to ruin her step fathers empire she's just got to find out what it is first. Stella thinks she's a woman who knows what she doing, she thinks she bad ass but you quickly find out she's inexperienced and very naive. She resents her step father for ruining her relationship with her mother and sending her to boarding school, Stella has been sheltered away for too long, enter Gabriel Gregory Stella's sexy new boss. He sees through her plan to ruin her stepfather straight away but offers her help in two areas of her life. He will help to bring down her step father and maybe his own father as well, and help Stella to become more experienced in the bedroom in the shape of the alphabet game !!! A= Arousal B = Bondage C= Cock You get my drift, I loved this I sat reading thinking what is he going to do for "E", actually I think 'E' was my favourite, the game is unique twist to the plot . I would love to hear Gabe's side of the story as it's clear he had his own agenda, he makes it very clear to Stella that he doesn't want a relationship just amazing sex, but will this be enough for Stella and what happens when they get to 'z' and the game ends ( and more importantly what is 'z' going to be ??) Even though this is part one of a novella series it doesn't end in a cliffhanger as such just leaves you wondering who the real enemy is here her stepfather or Gabriel Gregory ????
This is a well written, sexy, unique tale of a young woman finding out who she really is and I can't wait for more !
Stella Mulroney wants to take down her multi-billionaire stepfather and after two years she's finally got the interview she needs at Gregory & Sons, only problem is she was expecting the job to be for Mr Gregory Senior and not his son Gabriel, who is distractingly hot and surprisingly willing to help her. This is the first book and so it's a book of introductions and intrigue. Since the blurb is good and there's already a lot of well written reviews I'm not going to do a summary as such I'll just explain my rating. I'm not sure how much I like these two, enough to continue on to the next book but I'm not completely sold yet, also, and I know there's more to come, so much we don't know yet but Stella's reasons for revenge seem, well, more like something a bored rich girl would fixate on and not reason enough to ruin someone, but like I said I don't think we've got the full story yet. Also Gabe, why is he helping? What's his angle? And the alphabet thing? I'm just not sure, which is the reason for the 3 stars. But what an ending.....
The Alphabet Game: Part One - A to E is about Stella Mulroney, who gets a job at Gregory & Sons to get information on her stepfather. She works as the assistant for Gabe Gregory, who also looking for revenge on his father. But before they can get there revenge, Gabe decides it's time for him to teach Stella "The Alphabet Game."
The Alphabet Game is good for when you want a quick read with a bit of steam, but it's the cliffhanger at the end that makes you want more. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
A review copy was provided from the author in exchange for honest review.
I enjoyed this book. It was written well and I could tell it was written from across the pond. :) Stella Mulroney interviews for the PA position for a Mr. Gregory. She ends up becoming the PA for the son instead of the head of the firm. Gabriel Gregory propositions Stella into playing a little game with the alphabet. Who know the alphabet could be so sexy? I loved the dialogue between both Stella and Gabe. Oh and the friend Ronnie is unforgettable! Great characters! I was so sad it ended so soon :( I can't wait until F to K!
Really liked this book , I don't normally read novellas as I prefer a nice long book but I have to say Andie has converted me. I loved her use of language, and the story is erotic without being distasteful as such, when reading it felt like the story was longer than it actually was, cannot wait for the next installment.

REVIEW: THE ALPHABET GAME Part 1 A to E is the first instalment in Andie M. Long’s contemporary, adult, erotic, BDSM The Alpha novella series. The first book introduces the players in a sexual game of revenge, mystery and betrayal.
The premise follows Stella Mulroney as she is determined to take down her stepfather using his legal team and his business partner’s son. What Stella doesn’t expect is the offer of assistance from sexy Gabriel Gregory, the son of her stepfather’s lawyer. Gabriel has a need for revenge as well and, will use Stella in his plans. Gabe will hire Stella as his personal PA-but Gabe wants much more than her office help.
Part 1 A to E barely scratches the surface of the how and why. Gabriel is a man who demands sexual favors for his assistance in Stella’s plans. It is a bit of a win/win for both but as the storyline develops we are never really informed as to why these young professionals, born into wealth and prominence, have a desperate need to destroy their parents. On the surface they resemble spoiled rich kids with too much time on their hands but the family secrets will begin to unravel when everything Stella believes to be true is a ruse. From her boss to her friend to her stepfather and mother, Stella quickly learns that what she thinks she knows barely scratches the surface.
The writing style is simple. Andie M. Long presents a story that is slow to build. The reader flounders, along with the characters, in an introductory story that is riddled with sex and sexual situations but only hints at the deeper issues.
The world building focuses more on the sexual relationship between our leading couple rather than the reasons for the revenge and betrayal. As the story begins to unfold we learn that all of the major players have a connection to one another and our heroine Stella is the last to be pulled into the game.
Andie M. Long has written an interesting storyline but the presentation felt a little off. The pacing was up and down and, some important details were missing from the equation. The novella ends on a bit of a cliffhanger but that is a given since we have only completed A to E in the sexual alphabet game.
Overall, Andie M. Long has captured my attention because I want to know what happened to illicit such vengeful retribution; I want to know about all of the characters connections to one another; and I want to see where it will all lead.

Stella Mulroney leads a rather carefree life in her huge London appartment, living off her stepdad's monthly allowance. But she has her goals set on something very specific: bringing her stepdad down. And to do just this, she decides to get a job as a PA in her stepfather's business partner Gabriel Gregory's law firm.
She quickly catches the attention of Gabriel Gregory Junior (aka Gabe) who has exactly the same goal - but he doesn't mind at all bringing another goal into the picture, which is teaching rather innocent and conservative Stella a sexual alphabet along the way.
First of all, let me start by saying that this was an extremely short read. I totally understand the circumstances, since this is supposed to be a short-story series of about 4-5 books. But this first part of the series did not want to make me read the next books at all.
What I disliked the most was the unusual and unnatural pace. Stella meets Gabe when she's interviewing for a job at Gabe's fathers firm, and that same day, Gabe brings up a sexual arrangement (including the Alphabet Game, when they discover each letter and its sexual meaning one by one). Stella is of course subject to total insta-lust and although she is not a virgin but fairly innocent in terms of sexuality, she agrees to this proposition without a second thought. On that same day. And suddenly, Stella's whole professional behaviour and her plan to bring her stepfather down is out the window - or at least put in second place.
"I want to teach you things. Life's not about innocent love-making. (...) You're so innocent and I love that, but I want to know when I look at your angelic looking face that you can be such a dirty bitch. Can you be a dirty bitch, Stella, with me, are you capable, because that's what I need?" - Gabe Gregory
Plus if there's one thing I hate (but that's my personal opinion) it's when guys start calling girls names before or during the act. Needless to say I didn't really like Gabe's persona.
Then, I disliked the very peculiar plot - you have two things going on: the story relating to Stella and Gabe's plan to bring Stella's father down, and the "alphabet game" between the two of them. I feel like there was too much mystery around those two things. I understand mystery is equal to suspense and will want to make you read on, but in this case it is just plain confusing. You don't get enough information about anything and the read is just to short to make sense
And finally, there's a cliffhanger that is even worse than the The Arrangement cliffhangers - and that has to mean something.
There were a few funny parts in this book and the book started out really nicely with some kind of office-romance plot, but all in all it didn't cut it for me. I will probably not be reading the sequel to this.
I have to thank the Author, Andie M Long, for offering me a complimentary copy of this her first book to review.
The Alphabet Game is unlike any other book I have previously read. The story centres around two main characters: Stella Mulroney & Gabriel 'Gabe' Gregory. After a chance meeting in a coffee shop, Stella and Gabe realise that there is an attraction simmering between them but it's only when she's interviewed for a position at the top London Law Firm, Gregory & Sons, that she realises who her new employer will be.
Stella is hell bent on bringing her step-father to his knees and with Gabe's help she starts to plan a way to destroy him for his treatment of her growing up. It's not long though before Stella and Gabe can't keep their hands off each other though and the alphabet game commences!
The book continues with Stella and Gabe exploring and enjoying each other’s bodies while playing the “game” but Gabe is reluctant to offer Stella more than sex. It becomes apparent though that Gabe hasn't been truthful with Stella and after a chance encounter with her Mother and Stepfather, Stella starts to wonder who Gabe really is. Stella also finds out that her best friend has also been keeping secrets from her and starts to question who she can trust. At this point, Part 1 A-E ends.
This book is fully of steaminess and raunchiness for those readers looking for something to brighten up the dullest of days but the background story, having initially started out with a clear focus on Stella's part, soon turns into something darker with suspense and intrigue.
As a new author, Andie M Long's writing is excellent with none of those pesky spelling and grammatical errors all too common these days. The story flows throughout and captures you from Stella and Gabe's first meeting in the coffee shop. This book is written by a British author and is based in Britain. It uses British colloquialisms which for a British reader is such a welcome change!!!
This book ends on a cliff-hanger and sets the scene for Part 2 which I am eagerly awaiting.
To be released in April 2014
Reviewed on behalf of Jezabell Girl & Friends.....
This is the first part of the series and does end right in the middle of the storyline, so be warned! Stella is a young woman on a mission, a mission to bring down her step-father, Mitch Daniels. The way she sees it he packed her off to boarding school and stole her mother from her. Stella is going for an interview at Gregory and sons as a PA, she stops off for coffee and bumps into a sexy, gorgeous man and they exchange flirtations and off she goes to her interview which to her horror is being done by the guy in the coffee shop, who is in fact, Mr Gregory. Right off the bat there's strong sexual innuendo between the two, banter and flirting. Gabe offers her the job and she asks him to help bring down her step-father, which he agrees to do. When she turns up for work there's more innuendo and flirtation but Stella wants to get started on her step-fathers downfall. Gabe agrees to help but there's things he must teach her, she has limited experience and is naïve. His father and Stella's father are business partners and have clubs which offer more than drinks. Gabe has a proposal for Stella, The Alphabet Game. What follows is a series of sexual encounters where letters of the alphabet are used A=arousal, B=bondage, C=c**k, D=dungeon room, E=earn. How these things are incorporated into the story, you will have to read to find out! The dungeon is an interesting scene and very hot!!! Gabe's father visits Stella in her office and vaguely threatens her, telling her to keep her nose out of his business. On a night out with Gabe and Stella's friend Ronnie, there some startling revelations when she bumps into her mother and step-father and that is where it ends. I wanted to read on, it was frustrating to be left hanging but hopefully part 2 isn't too far away. Overall its a quick, sexy, hot and passionate read. I instantly liked the characters, these two manage a lot in just a week!!! It focuses a lot on the sex but there is a story starting to come forward and I'm excited to find out what that is and read on.
This story didn’t quite capture my interest from the beginning. It took me getting about 75 % through before it started to hold my interest. It’s not for lack of skills, because the author did a fabulous job on this, and though Gabe is pushy and has such a dirty mouth (bad thing? I think not), I was really pretty attracted to him. It was really Stella who did nothing for me. Im really not a huge fan of the female in most books so its rare a female lead captures me. Stella did not capture me. In Fact, she annoyed me. She is stuffy and snippy and I really don’t see why that would be attractive to any many from the beginning. If I were a man, I would have walked off from the beginning … other fish in the sea and all. Even though I still do not like her, I do like how she takes what she wants sexually. She gives as good as she gets in the bedroom and that I can totally respect. Im hoping her personality is explained a bit more in book 2, as I’d like to not hate her so much because she rocks him out in the bedroom as much as he does her. She’s called out as innocent but she really isn’t all that innocent in my eyes, but that would be to each persons perspective. I don’t see her as sexually innocent, I see her as maybe not having many lovers but absolutely able to hold her own in the bedroom and with whatever Gabe throws at her sexually.
The sex scenes are totally hot and the cliffy~~~ holy hell .. it’s a huge one ….
On the whole, the story didn’t set up the plot for me as well as it could have and im hoping book 2 answers some of those questions as to what the hell is going on with her stepfather and his father, because as of now … we have no idea. I think the story has potential to pick itself up as we go along as more information is added as to why Stella wants revenge on her stepfather and why Gabe wants revenge on his father as well.
The story is written well and the grammar and spelling are good. The series has potential, I just need some more to go on with it so I’ll definitely be on to book 2.
Hmmm, sizzling! Stella is a lady on a mission, she finally has an Interview with the biggest lawyers in London, in the celebrity field. Trying for 2 years to get inside the company.
Then we meet Gabe, firstly quite innocently, the meet in the coffee shop, and both feel a connection!
We then soon realize they are both in the interview, Stella soon realizes she is having and interview the son of man she wants to work with, but they soon realizes that they can actually work together to mutual effect!
She is desperate to get one over on her step-father, as she feels he took her mom away from her. They begin working together, and very quickly the sexual attraction kicks in you cant help feel that your missing something.
They appear to get on well together and we quickly find out that Gabe's dad and Stella's step father work together, and we find out the nature of the club not sure why if this is not a good thing at this point.
The story is told over a week or so, but not rushed, the build up of their relationship is not straight forward. Gabe doesn't want a 'proper' relationship, although you don't get the impression she wants much more either!
Loved her friend Ronnie what a naughty little minx she enjoys her good times, but she is hiding things, but she is always there for Stella but you feel there is history between Gabe and Ronnie.
Stella and Gabe are working their way through the alphabet, all things sexual it makes good fun reading.
They get on so well and both give each other as good as they get, not letting either getting away with much!
Gabe takes her to the club that their parents own and he shows Stella around the palce, giving her a taster of one of the rooms.
We then get a double date, where Ronnie and her date turn up late, and cause a scene we also 'bump' into Stella's parents, where some things are revealed regarding Ronnie but more importantly it turns out that Gabe has ulterior motives although not sure what yet!
You guys might have noticed I'm branching out a bit from my usual YA and NA lit recently. I blame (credit?) the rise of erotica novella serials. Up until I started to see more and more of them, I had no real interest in reading erotica. Sure, I enjoy a good, steamy scene in my NA romances, but that's one thing. An entire book? I've not been interested. Novella serials give me a good story and hot sexy scenes in one bite-sized package. I really enjoy them.
The Alpha Series is off to a really good start with this first part. The concept is sexy and I love a good revenge book. I find it difficult to rate the first book in a serial like this because it's difficult to get a full feel for the author's style and pacing in this short of time. Truthfully, this is probably a 3.5 star read, but I don't give halves.
Stella and Gabe have chemistry from the start. She agrees to play his game and things take off from there. There's no denying the spark between the two of them. I did, unfortunately, find their characters to both be a bit flat, but there's still lots of time for them to develop as we work our way through the dictionary.
I was left with lots of questions after this first part (none of which I'm going to tell you because I don't want to ruin anything for you) and I can't wait to get my hands on the second to see if any of them are answered. That's the mark of a good serial, right? Thankfully I don't have long to wait because there was quite a cliffhanger at the end.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This story is about a woman who wants revenge but instead happens upon an altogether different game!
I have to be honest, I put off reading this book knowing it had a cliffhanger and I, as a rule, cannot stand cliffhangers. I can now say, although, as a rule, I still hate cliffhangers, I wish it hadn't put me off reading this book for so long!
I was engaged from the first line, because it was a statement that warranted explaining.
'Getting sexually accosted in Starbucks wasn't on my to-do list'
We meet Stella, she is initially portrayed as a ball buster, which she is also referred to on more than one occasion by her best friend. We soon get to see that first impressions aren't always accurate and she has not only a softer side but a humorous side too.
I loved the relationship she had with her friend Ronnie too, she was hilarious, although there is obviously much more to 'Ronnie's story'.
From almost he beginning I could feel the fire between Stella and Gabe, it's hot, but it's also a push and pull situation, both of them fighting for control, in spite of Gabe being Stella's boss. However it works fantastically.
I often find books with a lot of sex scenes can be quite repetitive and ultimately boring, well 'ding dong' no such worry with this book!
The book was just the right mixture of raw yet contained, it was paced just perfectly, not rushing the story and explaining details without letting too much information give the 'game' away.
The way it ended left me bereft, but not cross and the difference is massive to me. I cannot wait for the next instalment!
The Alphabet Game is simple. Each letter represents or involves sex in some way. To this I say.... I wanna play! Author Andie M. Long starts us off with quite a "chance" encounter. Right off the bat I was interested in our leading lady Stella Mulroney & sexy alpha Gabriel 'Gabe' Gregory. On a mission of destroying her step father Stella certainly didn't take into account that her new ally and boss, Gabe would make such a big impression on her in such a short time. Their new found joint operation has them working so close to each other that they throw all their cards on the table and dive in! I have to say that as they drew closer and as the lessons began I didn't blush but I did feel the heat rise! Stella maybe a bit on the innocent side but she's no virgin.
"One thing you need to bear in mind Mr. Gregory is that I may be inexperienced in real life, but in my head I'm all kinds of wanton."
I found this to be refreshing, because the typical leads tend to be so clueless, but Stella points out that we all have that naughty "wanton woman " inside, it just takes the right man to being her out.
As the alphabet game progressed I started to worry because it's a novella and I knew the end was near. Gladly it was a good size novella, not to short, so I had enough character development, and I enjoyed getting to know them. As with any good book, it ended too soon. I give The Alphabet game an F for Four stars and look forward to what author Andie M. Long has in store for us next.
First of all I will admit to knowing Andie sister ( who happens to make Maison de truffles mentioned in the book which are totally divine) and I want to apologise for not giving the book 5 stars.
I know all writers have their own way of writing but I struggled with the flow of it until the letter "E" was mentioned. The story line it's self is great and originally. Even though you have the typical Alpha male , Stella is not a petite helpless woman. She has grown up in private boarding schools with no money worries and she can certainly can hold her own. After trying to land a job working for Gregory & Sons firm for 2 years, she finally lands an interview and gets the job thinking she will be the pa to Gregory. However its actually for the son Gabe ( alpha male). The chemistry between them is hot from the start and it quickly turns in to out of this world sex. Stella wants revenge on her stepfather and Gabe is willing to help with inside knowledge he has gained from working at his fathers firm. He introduces Stella to upper glass sex club that is owned by Stellas stepfather and Gabes father. She goes from only having sex with one man in her lifetime (that she thought was boring and why bother) to experiencing more than a lot people have and certainly enjoying it in just a few days.
Just as I was getting the hang of the writing things end in an almighty cliffhanger that screams "tell me more now". I honestly can't wait to see what happens next.
The alphabet games is a very quick, nice read. However it's action packed and very sexy. If your looking for a new twist on a story then this is the book to try.
The story follows Stella . She a easy life, due to her stepfather giving her a monthly allowance. However she got a Hugh grudge against her stepfather and wants to bring him down. After trying for 2 years she finally gets a job working for her stepfathers business partner....Gabriel Grayson
She quickly catches the eye of "gabe". The son of her stepfathers top lawyer. It doesn't take long before Gabe to start pursuing Stella.
Stella is very naive and very vulnerable and inexperienced sexually. Gabe wants to help her become more confident and more sexual by using "the Alphabet game"
When starting this book I was aware this was the first book in a series. Because I was aware of this I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised though. This book sets the path nicely for the other books to follow, but because of that you are left quite early in the story wanting the next book to be released ASAP. I loved how sexy and hot the story was. It was full of sexual frustration and missed chances. There was a few twists and turns throughout the story to keep you reading and guessing, but you are left with unanswered questions, which will hopefully get answered in the next book. I really liked the original concept of "The Alphabet game" and I'll be looking out for the next few books to find out what happens.

I was given this book for an honest review from the author.
The book for me kind of started off slow, but as you got to know the characters and what their intentions were it got hot and interesting.
Stella Mulroney, is preparing herself for an interview with Gregory & Sons, as a personal assistant. She's been trying to get interview with this company for while now, so she can gain information on her Stepfather and take him down. She blames him for the relationship she has now with her mother. Stella interviewer is Gabriel 'Gabe' Gregory. She thought that she was interviewing for Mr. Gregory, her Stepfather's lawyer, but the position is a PA for Gabe, his son. You can tell that Stella is attracted to Gabe and Gabe is attracted to Stella. Stella takes the position as the a personal assistant to Gabe. Not only as his personal assistant, but also something more outside of work.
As the book progresses, the relationship between Gabe and Stella outside of work is more and Stella wants more from Gabe, but he doesn't think he can give it to her right now. Stella learns what her stepfather has invested to and she to become this other person to take him down.
As, I continued to read I couldn't put the book down. I had to keep on reading to see where things go with Stella and Gabe, what she learns about her stepfather and about Gabe. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Pleasantly surprised by this one, a solid 4 stars. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. Though I know we still have a lot to learn about Stella and Gabe, this was a solid introduction. It was a little too short for me, but I'm hoping there isn't much space between each installment. I recently read a serial where the installments were released every two weeks. Let's hope that the case here!
I'm not sure what Gabe's reason for playing this game is. Could be because something has happened in the past that doesn't allow him to think he can have something serious. However, he sought Stella out knowing she had a plot. Obviously, Gabe has an agenda too. It happened a little suddenly, her first day of employment, but that didn't make it any less hot. Looking forward to what "F" and beyond brings!
I would like to edit to add that I saw the cover on Amazon and I don't know if it's the final, but I would consider changing it if I were the author. It's the same man/image from several popular books including Try by Ella Frank. That book has over 300 reviews and know most readers in this genre would remember it. Just sayin....I hate to mention something that possibly cannot be changed, but it would possibly put me off as a reader of Try. I already have committed his face to a hot gay man trying to turn a straight man, lol!!
5 stars ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review*** This one is super funny, had me laughing since the beginning. This story is in the UK and the terminology had me laughing a lot too. ***SPOILERS*** The tittle kind of tells you something about the story. Every letter means something and because it's a game use your imagination and think what kind of things those letters mean. I think A was definitely my favorite. Story is about Stella, who is 23 and looking for a job. She lands an interview after waiting 2 years to hear back from this company. On her way to the interview she stops for coffee and something very funny happens. Interview goes well and she stars working as a PA for Gabe (Gabriel) which is the love interest kind of. They begin the game and how fun it was. This one as you can see is a cliffhanger, you will need to read book 2 for more letters in the game. It leaves you wanting to know what happens next because it ended so good that you just want to pull your hair out and scream. This is not an OMG it's so romantic kind of story, it more of a steamy read with lots of funny parts. You will fall in love with the characters, they are all very likable, even the crazy best friend, totally loved her. It is a short read, fast paced and very hot. I absolutely loved it.
First, the book was readable in a couple of hours. And that was because the first couple of chapters, I was getting used to the style of writing. I do prefer books that are longer, but at the end, it's all about the story. So, let's get to that.
Second, the story didn't quit capture me from the start. I was intrigued as to what makes the protagonists thick, but it took me a while to get into the story. This might have been due to the writing style, which I felt was more a summation. BUT, like I said, after a while, you get into the story, and you forget even the writing style.
Third, and this is what made me ponder between 3 or 4 stars, the story was good! I read a lot, so after a while the alpha male, dominating the silly woman, can get a tad boring, but I love the way Andie changed this concept. Brilliant. She is sassy, and knows what she wants. She ain't afraid to speak up her mind. She can't deny the attraction between her boss and her, and is not afraid to go for it, while keeping her goal in sight.
Unfortunately, there is a cliffhanger, and we are left wondering what's to come next. I can not wait to see this story develop, and fall more deeply into the wicked vision of this writer.

I received a copy from The Fifty Shades Support Group and/or the Author in exchange for an honest review. That being said, although I am not a huge fan of cliffhangers, I loved this story! Stella is a sassy young woman who has a strong grievance with her stepfather, and is determined to destroy him. For 2 years she tries to obtain a position at the firm that handles his affairs, as well as his friend & business associate Arnie Gregory. She finally lands an interview there only to find out it is with his son Gabe. The chemistry with these two is electrifying! Gabe soon proposes not only to help her in the take down of her stepfather, but also some hot fringe benefits for the two of them! ;) Stella agrees to the "no strings attached" proposal Gabe offered to take her on a sexual exploration through the alphabet. What Stella didn't count on was for her feelings to cause tension when Gabe tries to keep it "casual". This story leaves us with a nail biting cliffhanger to see what will happen next, and to see if Stella really knows who's really her "friends" and who actually cares for her.... Great writing Andie! Can't wait for book 2!!
A really good read. Not really knowing what to expect, I went into this book with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised. I was hooked from the first sentance to the last and the premise means that there is still lots more great things to come as this story continues over future volumes.
Stella becomes a PA for Gabe Gregory in an attempt to get revenge on her step-father, who she blames for taking the mother she loved away from her. Stella thinks that it is going to be as easy as rummaging through some files to find what she wants to bring him down. Gabe very quickly squashes that plan and tells her the best way is through the sex clubs he has established. Stella, though, is very niaive and vulnerable when it comes to things of a sexual nature as she is very inexperienced. Gabe sets out to expand her sexual horizons through the alphabet game and to help her gain her confidence and self-awareness to carry out the plan.
With a few twists thrown in this is a really great read with oodles of potential and leaves you with lots of unanswered questions. I can't wait for the next installment.
Stella has been trying for two long years to get a job in one of London’s top law firms. She finally gets that interview she has been dreaming of. Working as the PA of one of the feistiest attorney’s, or so she thought. Her interview at Gregory & Sons is not what she expected.
Stella really wants to work at this law firm. She gets the interview but not for the Gregory she thought. Her interview is with Gabe Gregory the eldest son of the power attorney. Gabe has a plan for Stella, they both have issues with their paternal units and want to take them down. How? Well, the by playing the Alphabet Game. Gabe is “training” Stella how to go about taking down the enemy. Sounds weird but every lesson she gets from Gabe is HOT!!! Lesson one, A. A is for Arousal.
Gabe is a hot alpha who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Stella is in it for the experience and to see her goal become a reality. Take down the man that took her mother away. Hot sex and dirty talk, yes please! Alphabet Game is a game we would all love to play.
The plot is intriguing, but a quick, fun read. The dialogue was good, and kept my interest. I would recommend this book
Firstly I'll say I love the idea of reading a novella that I can devour in a couple of hours every now and then but normally read actual novels as I prefer the depth you get from a story. That may explain why the first half of the book had me wondering whether it would work for me. Once I got to the second half it was like a light switched on and everything clicked, I just got it!!
I totally fell for Gabe and I'll be honest everytime I walk into Starbucks I now look for a Gabealike.
When it comes to actual novels, I do like cliffhangers but tend to steer clear if the other book isn't out. The wait for the 4th in the Crossfire series is killing me! What Andie's novella does is gives you the thrill of the cliffhanger but without the extensive wait, almost like waiting for the next instalment of your favourite tv show.
I for one could not wait for the second part of the story. For those that have not overly enjoyed the first novella stick with it. How often are you totally sold on a book within the first 25% of the story? That is essentially what this is.
All in all I loved the creativity and originality of this book.

The Alphabet Game is the first book in the The Alpha Series. It's a quick read but nevertheless, enjoyable. The blurb is intriguing so I gave it a try. I love the Starbucks scene, it basically gave me ideas about the main characters - Gabe & Stella. From there, I couldn't put it down because I was really invested in the story. Characters are solid and plot is seamless. I love the concept - what each letter in the alphabet means.
The author's writing skills captivated me from start to finish. Though I know that the story's ending is cliffhanger, I'm still thrilled that I read it. I'm curious as to where the story would take us. Would Gabe and Stella have their HEA? What will happen to Stella's plan against his stepfather?
I hope that the second book would be out soon because I'm dying here right now.
Thank you Andie M. Long for the copy. I really enjoyed it.
