Seeking Serenity #2

Finding Serenity

Rate this book
Mollie Malone's mom skipped out on her.Her biker dad, always loose and easy with the law, still was able to make her feel loved, and to keep her safe. But thirteen years ago, when his luck finally ran out and he landed in prison, Mollie found herself a new family - a group of friends in the sleepy little college town of Cavanagh, Tennessee, where now they all attend the local university. These girls know about the rotten roots of her family tree but accept her anyway, and the bond between them is so strong and supportive that Mollie is finally able to see past graduation to a future that is bright and secure. But sometimes the past doesn't stay buried.Suddenly, inexplicably, there's a shadow behind every step Mollie takes. Someone is lurking in that shadow, threatening not only Mollie, but also the new family she has claimed for herself. And it isn’t just the past that has Mollie’s life in upheaval.Gorgeous former Marine Vaughn Winchester - who Mollie really would like to get to know much better - thinks Mollie is just a kid; he's made it clear she wouldn't ever be able to understand the demons haunting him. But if that's what he believes, then why does he keep sticking his nose in her business? And if he thinks she’s such a kid, why does he keep trying to kiss her?Vaughn’s mind games are frustrating, especially since Mollie knows enough about secrets to be convinced that there's something he isn’t telling her, something he's so far been able to keep hidden. But when that secret is revealed, Mollie is forced into a situation that tests her loyalty and threatens even her closest friendships - just when the shadow of her past returns, and she's going to need them the most.

Eden Butler is a writer of contemporary, fantasy, and romantic suspense novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum.

When she's not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, Eden patiently waits for her Hogwarts letter, reads, and spends too much time in her garden perfecting her green thumb while waiting for the next New Orleans Saints Super Bowl win.

She is currently living under teenage rule alongside her husband in southeast Louisiana.

Mollie and Vaughn are great characters. Mollie’s dad was her everything, until he was arrested and she had to stay with her mother. Recently, some weird things are happening to Mollie and her life could be in danger. Vaughn met Mollie a while ago, but he has never forgotten her. He now wants to be there for Mollie and make sure that she’s safe. Vaughn is smart, strong, protective and determined. Mollie loves her independence and her best friends. She’s attracted to Vaughn, but she’s hesitant to give him a chance.

I didn’t love Finding Serenity as much as the previous book in this series. The focus was a little too much on the suspense/mystery about what was happening to Mollie and less on the development of Mollie and Vaughn’s relationship. I did like them together. I love the secondary characters and I’ll definitely read the next books in this series one day.

Vaughn was a sexy protective hero who at times got a bit wearing with his "I want to sleep with you but No! I have to keep my hands off you", a lot of flip flopping with this guy. Towards the end his past also got a tad overdramatic but his calm, soothing, and strong presence ultimately make him a hero you want to be invested in. Mollie was a strong character in her own right but there were times she came off spoiled and immature in wanting Vaughn to disregard safety and everything to want her but as she is only twenty-two and it is discussed throughout how she is younger than Vaughn, I found this refreshingly realistic. They have an instant physical attraction and spend the majority of the book trying to fight it while their emotional closeness side develops, it makes for a measured joining but again, more realistic. The action side of the story kept our leads together and kept the pace moving but I do wish one or two "death defying" moments had been edited out. This is second in the Seeking Serenity series and except for developing a crush on Declan the hero from the first book and wanting to go and read it and having a mad desire to read Donovan's story, the future hero in the next book, I never felt lost or confused.

Are you kidding me?? Hey Eden, yeah you! Thanks for the heart attack, b***h!!! (kidding!)

Ok first and foremost, the Gary Oldman reference alone is enough to give this awesome book a 5 star rating. I mean HELLO, he's an AMAZING actor and his genius is entirely to understated.

Second, let me just tell you I LOVE THIS BOOK! Well, to be fair, I loved the first book too and so I kind of knew going into this it was going to be awesome. Boy, I was not disappointed!!

I was so caught up in the story and had some very important things to get done but I couldn't put it down. I accomplished nothing while reading this book. Ok, well I did stop reading long enough to put dinner in the crock pot, but I was thinking about Mollie and Vaughn the entire time. Because I loved Seeking Serenity so much I was thrilled that Autumn and Declan were regulars in this book.

Mollie is exactly the type of woman I pretend to be in my head. She is fierce, stubborn, and brave. She's her father's daughter and when all else fails knows exactly who she is because of that. While I sit here in my flannel pajamas under a blanket with my Chihuahua sleeping in my lap, laptop on my legs, tablet to my left and phone to my right, I try to convince myself that I am like Mollie. Then I remember I just posted a picture of me wearing my daughter's My Little Pony jacket on Facebook and think yeah, maybe not. But THEN I remember that Mollie is a comic book loving nerd girl instantly feel a little better. Mollie has a sweet and soft side too and isn't afraid to show it. She is passionately loyal and has a very good head on her shoulders. She doesn't play games. Even when her temper has her being foolish, she has the good sense to know that she is indeed being foolish. Perhaps my favorite thing about her, she's forgiving. She's been beat down in a way that could rightfully leave her jaded and untouchable. Much to my delight, she chooses a different path and I found myself wishing I knew her in real life.

Vaughn, oh my, what to say about Vaughn. He is wounded in ways that you can't imagine. I, much like Mollie, didn't know what to think about Vaughn. I wanted to like him, was pulling so hard for him to be a good guy. I kept thinking, if he's a douchebag I'm going to be livid! It was obvious he was harboring secrets, which was frustrating! If people would just talk...holy crap! I love that he noticed the million little things about Mollie that make her who she is.

"She is a girl, all smooth skin, priorities fluxed into selfish thoughts like most her age, but she is loyal, he's seen that in her, in her friends. Her age makes him think that she is inexperienced, that her years do not equal much pain, much loss, but the reality of it is that she has been in her own battles, just like him. Mollie's scars don't cover her body like his; they have not left visible evidence of the loss she has known, but they are just the same; hidden beneath a laugh that is deep, real."

"Vaughn instantly misses the warmth in her cheeks, the way her eyes brighten with her laugh. More than anything, he hates that he'd do anything to make the pretty smile return to her face."

He tries to fight how he feels for her in exchange for doing what is right, even though it is complete torture. He falters many times, unable to resist the pull she has on him. When he finally kisses her, it starts a fire that can't be extinguished no matter how much he tries to pretend it's not there burning him alive.

"It is slight, barely passable as a kiss at all, but Vaughn still craves it, wants it to linger, to expand until he doesn't feel anything but Mollie."

"Mollie Malone is like a drug. An annoying, addictive, impossible-to-ignore drug."

When Mollie's past becomes a serious threat to the right now for her and her friends, Vaughn's past threatens to ruin everything between them.

This book took twists that I did not see coming. I read so much that it isn't often that a plot surprises me and when it does I'm very pleased.

I love that the book gives us both of their perspectives and lets us inside both of their heads.

I rated this book 5 stars!

When I stumble upon a book and an author that shocks me with not only the depth but range of emotions I can feel in one story,  it reminds me why I fell in love with reading and how much it means to me.

Eden Butler has captivated my heart. From the town she created with it's love of Rugby to it's foundation of friendship and family, I find I wish I could hop on a bus and stay there a while. The characters as flawed yet beautiful, broken yet unbelievably strong. Layers of intense feelings are still trapped in my heart. I can't say that the love story of this couple is what made this book amazing to me, even though they were extraordinary in their complexity. The history of both Vaughn and Molly tore at my heart. Both had so much loss and so much pain it's a wonder they were able to function. I think their souls recognized something in each other and their volatile and passionate love story will stick with me for a while. ...

Yet, no it wasn't just this splendid couple, It was the entire canvas of relationships in this picturesque town.
It was the lesson of family being more than blood. How the people who cry with you and rant for you are the ones that are your family.

I cried and I laughed over antics and heartbreak. I felt like I was right there and that maybe just maybe I might have fit in with these misfits a little, probably because it takes one to know one.

I do know that the moment the next book, or rather the next bus arrives back to
Cavanagh, Tennessee I'll be on the front row and this time I might not leave.

I liked the idea behind this book, not so much the book itself.

Molly Malone is the daughter of a biker who is now in prison for drug dealing. He’s been arrested when she was thirteen which forced her to go live with an estranged mother that can’t even stand the sight of her.

Nine years later strange things start happening to Molly and her friends and she has a feeling that everything is connected to her father.

Enter Vaughn Winchester. He’s an ex Marine who’s trying to get over some bad stuff that happened to him. Somehow –it was not specified how or why- he ends up working for his sister who’s a DA and is preparing on a case in which Molly’s father is involved.

Vaughn’s duty is to keep an eye on Molly and make sure no one hurts her.

Took me a while to figure out who’s who and what’s what. Especially where Molly and Vaughn are concerned.

I couldn’t understand Vaughn at all. She tried to picture him as a badass and, at the same time, a troubled character, but she failed. He came across as insecure and confused. If the author had in mind for him to be the hero of this story, I’m sorry to say this, but she messed up.

And Molly… She’s supposed to be this though chick that spent half of her years surrounded by badass bikers and the crap that came with them. She keeps repeating over and over again that she’s strong and nothing can get to her and I had to try to keep up with her mood swings every five minutes.

Then, there’s the relationship between her and Vaughn. What the hell happened with these two? Because I have no clue. There’s no development, it doesn’t make sense. The interactions between them seemed forced like 90% of the dialogs in this book.

I liked Declan and Autumn so there’s a high chance I’ll read their story in the near future. That’s Chasing Serenity if you’re interested. Hey, the guy is hot as hell and Irish so, yeah… You get my point.

Layla and Donovan. God, those two are combustible together. The pranks they play on each other are so hilarious I found myself laughing out loud many times which probably kept me reading until the end. So the book wasn’t a total waste of time after all.

I can’t rate it more than 3 stars and hope she’ll do better with Layla’s story.

I went into this book without reading CHASING SERENITY. I made sure with the author beforehand so to make sure I wasn't missing any valuable info. And yes, some things were a tad bit spoiled for me about book one, but not enough to stop me from going back and reading it. A lot of the characters from that one are in this one. They are a group of friends that are more like family. It warmed my heart.

So you get the gist from the summary, right? Yeah it pretty much sums up the whole book. In a way. But, what you actually find is something altogether different. Something altogether amazing. Butler writes a story so well written, so put together, so flippin fantastic. Yes, I was absolutely in love with this book from the start. In fact I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. With just pages left I had to lay the book down and go to bed. Only to pick it up the next day and eagerly devour the remaining bits.

Vaughn has a secret. And that secret doesn't take too long to get revealed, but then there is this part 2 of the secret. And it was great! See what the author did there? She made us readers think the first part of the secret was all there was. Then there was the next part and BAM!! I was taken back a few notches. Way to Butler! Way to make me love Vaughn and her dad even more. Ok, yeah, so I didn't love her dad much to begin with since he is kinda a "bad guy" but I found myself warming to him. He is taking care of his daughter, even behind bars.

And seeing all of Mollie's friends in action has me even more ready to read CHASING SERENITY. They were some great secondary characters. They really care for one another, and love each other like family. Even better than some blood families.

Lots of heat in this one. And Butler is not afraid to go there. Vaughn fought his inner self throughout most the read and finally couldn't deny Mollie anymore. He came in and not only swept her off her feet but me too. He really is a great guy. I hated hearing him say he was broken. Hell we are all broken one way or another. But that doesn't mean we don't deserve love at some point. Deep. I know. I can't help myself.

Read this book and then I can promise you will be recommending it to everyone you know. It is full of suspense to keep your mind wondering and enough romance to curl your toes to. Absolutely loved it! 5 Give Me More Stars!

You know you read a book by an author, you connect with it, and love it? Well it's happened three times for me with books by Eden Butler. Just when I thought she couldn't surprise me or make me admire her more, she does. Finding Serenity is a book I blew through in one sitting. I mean from the very first page she drew me in. I fell in love with Mollie in that first chapter and I think I loved her more than Vaughn. Mollie is not so big in size, but her attitude is huge. She's her daddy's girl alright, tough and independent to boot. I also loved Mollie's ability to accept things. I don't think I could be anywhere near as rational or calm as she was.

When something from the past comes to haunt Mollie, she's alright until it starts affecting her family, not the ones related to her by blood, but the ones she's chosen and the ones that have chosen her as theirs. I can honestly tell you, Mollie is one lucky girl for all that she had. When you read the book, you'll find out why I say that. Some of her family members need to not only be neutered but a lobotomy might help improve their dispositions if you get my drift.

Vaughn was just yummy. I didn't get his initial blowing hot and cold when it came to Mollie, but when she needed him, he was there. I also loved how he stepped up for her in a number of situations when he knew she wouldn't be happy with it. I also loved how he fought his attraction for Mollie with everything, trying to be honorable.

Basically, this book knocked it out of the park. I got all the feels; I laughed, cried, went, "Awww," cheered, giggled, and had to fan myself when things got hot. This second book in the Seeking Serenity series may have just become my favorite. Of course I'll always love fecking Declan and Autumn, but this book is seriously bad-ass. (Please pardon my French.)

Oh My!!
Mollie & Vaughn's Story!!

Eeeekkkk

UPDATE:

I love Eden's work, and I certainly love this series.
I love Eden's writing that captures us so easily and ensnares us to continue reading.

We have Mollie, she had a rather shitty up-bringing and has many demons in her closet.
Vaughn......he's on the next level....he's an ex-marine, with a heart of gold, but he also has many demons festering in his closet and he's trying to keep them hidden.

These two character couldn't be more opposite than they already are, but you know how the saying goes..."Opposites tend to attract one another"

The banter and sexual tensioner between these two soon starts to heat up, when their lives are being threatened.
Can these two get past their insecurities and move on from their hidden pasts?

We still see the appearance of the others in "Seeking Serenity" Declan’s brotherly role, always out to protect those he loves and his family… Layla and Donovan, oh these two....I can't wait to read their story (please be one) They definitely bring the laughs with them wherever they go!

Seeking Serenity differs slightly that Finding Serenity, where book #1 was full of sexual tension, book #2...Mollie and Vaughn is full of angst and intrigue and I loved every word. But rest assured, this book has some HOT steamy scenes. Mollie is a tough badass chick and Vaughn is her Soldier....

Before she pushes her leg up, she leans down, catching a whiff of his sweat-slick skin to whisper just above his mouth. "Baby, I'm always good, but I ain't never gentle."

Ok, so absolutely LOVE this series. In Chasing Serenity, we got to meet hot Irishman Declan (*swoon* check out his POV in Behind The Pitch). In FINDING SERENITY we get to meet SMOKIN' hot ex-marine Vaughn *fans self*. Those of you who read the first book will recognize Vaughn from a scene towards the end, but for those of you who haven't (what are you waiting for??) Vaughn is a super tough guy with a sweet side, who had a brief encounter with Mollie that left her hooked.

Mollie is a tough girl who spent much of her younger years growing up in a biker gang. There is something that just makes me heart go pitted patter for a girl who knows how to yield a knife. I love strong heroines, and Mollie definitely fits that description! Her downfall is her unwillingness to ask for help.

Enter hot guy Vaughn. Vaughn is fighting his own demons. Situations with fellow Marines and family members that he left behind during combat have left him feeling like a failure. He is bound and determined to protect Mollie at all costs, even if it means sacrificing what he feels for her.

Mollie and Vaughn are two strong willed characters who can put up a good show I front of others. Their constant head butting leads to fantastic sexual tension that explodes off of the pages! Author Eden Butler does a wonderful job of weaving angst and triumph in to the story of Mollie and Vaughn. I immersed myself into the story, and felt every victory and heartbreak right along with the characters. I'm absolutely I love with this series, and certainly didn't mind getting my glimpses of Declan during this book!

Firstly I highly recommend you read Chasing Serenity and Behind the Pitch before you read this book. These two books introduce you to characters in this book who you will love and will want to read more about.
When I read Chasing Serenity I absolutely loved it and didn't think the author could write anything else that I'd favor more. I was wrong. I thoroughly loved this book.

This is Mollie and Vaughns story. I adored their story. The storyline is fantastic... Mystery and hot sex scenes had me glued to this book. I found the author made the characters real with their own flaws which was great. We all love reading about 'normal' people. The few twists were not expected and had me gripped.

I highly recommend this book. It is one if the rare few that will stay on my kindle for a re-read when I can. Great work from the author. Looking forward to the next story:)

What happens when a MC President's daughter meets a Ex-marine?

Sparks, awesome sparks.

“What are you waiting for, Semper Fi?” A small, teasing peck and she nibbles on his lip.
“Fucking touch me already.”
“Ma’am, yes ma’am.”

Mollie Malone is the daughter of the President of the Ministry of Malice MC. Her dad was taken to prison when she was a young girl and she was forced to live with her mother who didn't care about her. The only benefit of living in Cavanagh was that she met her best friends there and they have become like sisters.

As an adult Mollie is a DJ and when she meets ex-marine Vaughn Winchester she let's him know she is very interested in him. Unluckily for Mollie he runs hot and cold. Sometimes she thinks he is into her and sometimes he just seems cold. But, once her life is in danger, Vaughn seems to be a constant fixture in her life.

“Tell Malone his package has arrived.”

Vaughn is a loyal guy and he will do whatever he can to keep Mollie safe. He has secrets which tortured him and made it hard for him to fall for Mollie but he can't resist her either.

“You smell so damn good.”
A wicked glint flicks in her eyes and she pulls him forward, feet on his shoulders. “I taste even better.”

I liked Finding Serenity. My favorite books are when the heroine is independent and smart. Mollie knows how to take care of herself and she is extremely loyal to her dad despite knowing that he has done bad things in the past. She has great friends that were there for her when she needed them.

Vaughn was great for the most part. I had some issues with him second guessing himself and always following what his sister said.

In regards of the rest of the bunch, it was nice to see Autumn and Declan going strong and I can't wait for Donovan and Layla's story.
I wish Eden would write more about Mollie's dad. He deserves some happiness, especially since he was married to a witch.

“You’ve never met Mr. Nicky ‘Mojo’ Malone."

The cop Neil Ryan was also an interesting character that I hope to see again.

“You know you can call me Neil. Here you go,” Ryan says, giving Mollie a business card. He leans against the door jamb and that flirty, sweet smile returns. “My, ah, home number is on there, if you ever need to talk. You take care of yourself, Mollie and remember, my shifts ends at six. Anytime you want that drink, you let me know.”

I'm definitely reading the next one.

“You don’t know what you’re asking for. I’m broken, Mollie. I’m a fucking failure.”
“Well then, Semper Fi, you’re my broken failure.”

I was anxiously waiting for this second installment of the Seeking Serenity Series! I was happy dancing when I found out that Mollie was going to get her own book. I absolutely loved Chasing Serenity and Behind the Pitch! The moment you open a book from this series you will be transported into an amazing reading journey! Eden Butler delivers every single time with her captivating writing style and unforgettable characters!

In Finding Serenity we follow Mollie and Vaughn's beautiful and passionate love story. Mollie is the daughter of a MC president and Vaughn is a former marine that crosses her path again when unexpected events start to happen in Cavanagh. When Mollie and Vaughn met again sparks fly. Mollie feels that Vaughn is hiding something from her. The more he pushes her away, the more Mollie wants to discover what Vaughn is hiding. Vaughn is doing everything that he can to fight his attraction to Mollie, but she knows exactly what she wants .... Him. As days go by, they grow closer, but the past comes back full force to haunt them. Will they be able to let go of the past and find serenity?

This sequel was everything I was hoping for! I really had high expectations and I was not disappointed! I fell in love with Mollie and Vaughn. I really fell hard for Autumn and Declan, in Chasing Serenity, and I have to admit that I was pretty excited to see what Mollie and Vaughn's chemistry was going to be like. OMG!!! These two were on FIRE!!!!!! They indulged in some heavy dirty talking *Fans Self* Woweeeee!!! Mollie you ROCK girl!!!! What an amazing leading female character! Strong, confident and sexy! Don't even get me started with Vaughn ... Eeeeeep!!!! I had a virtual talk with Declan about me swooning over Vaughn Winchester. Oh sweet Lord!!! All kinds of hotness I tell you!!! After a few Sweet Jaysus here and there, Declan calmed down and gave me the Ok to cheer for Team Vaughn ... Tehehe!!! Between fighting for their feelings, lies, betrayals and many ups and downs, Mollie and Vaughn found each other and together they healed their emotional scars. I don't want to give anything away because I hate spoilers, but I will say this .... You don't want to miss Finding Serenity! It's an amazing read that will leave you wanting more!

What I absolutely love the Seeking Serenity Series is the characters! They're all very well developed. I can honestly say that Mollie's circle of friends are like my friends. I connected with every single one of them. I got to read and loved Autumn and Declan's story and I'm crossing my fingers that Sayo will get her own book as well. Do you know who else should get their own book? Layla and Donovan ... OMG!!!! These two are nuts!!!!! The pranks that they play against each other are insane!!!! You can feel that sexual tension whenever they are in the same room. Oh my God!!! I know that the moment that these two cross that line it's going to be EPIC!!!! Clothes will be flying and I will need a fire extinguisher for my kindle!!!!

I give, Finding Serenity, by Eden Butler 4.5 sensual, intense, passionate stars! I can't wait to see what's next!!! :)

“Finding Serenity – Seeking Serenity Book 2” by Eden Butler
5 out of 5 stars

It’s time to head back to Cavanagh, Tennessee and catch up with the cast of the Seeking Serenity series by Eden Butler. This time the focus shifts to Mollie as she begins her own journey to find the missing pieces to her puzzle.

Mollie’s life has had its share of ups and downs. At thirteen, her motorcycle club president father was carted off to prison leaving her in the care of a mother who just doesn’t like her. She has had to raise herself and considers her three best friends to be her family. The recent addition of Declan to their group has given Mollie hope that maybe love can exist for her, too. Setting her sights on Vaughn, she’s ready to put herself out there and take a chance on love. When a series of events that aren’t coincidental happen, Mollie realizes her life is in danger and has to decide who to put her faith in. Will she be able to come out the other side and find her own little piece of serenity?

I really liked Mollie. She’s tough as nails and very straightforward. I felt like Butler really allowed us to get to know Mollie and discover the vulnerable girl underneath the hard exterior. She wrote her in such a way that you can easily relate to her. I loved her relationship with her father. Even though her upbringing was unconventional at best, there is a real sense of unity between them and despite his absence I liked her dad.

Vaughn is just as armored up as she is. Running from his own demons, the last thing he expects is to actually like Mollie. Butler is smart to write from his perspective as well. It allows us a close up view at the trauma Vaughn is working through and how it has affected him. He is a complex man and the perfect fit for Mollie. They have electricity flowing between them and the current leaps off the pages.

I love that Butler continues to build up to an epic showdown between Donovan and Layla. Every scene they are in, they manage to steal the spotlight and leave you desperate for their own tale. It’s going to be out of this world hot when those two finally come together!

I’m even more invested in this group after this story. I really connected with Mollie and I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next. I am definitely recommending this series. Butler will hook you in and leave you anxious for more!

Finding Serenity is book two in the Seeking Serenity series by Eden Butler. There is one full length novel (Chasing Serenity- Declan & Autumn’s story), as well as one companion novella (Behind the Pitch- Declan’s POV in Chasing Serenity). I highly suggest reading at least Chasing Serenity or both of these before beginning Finding Serenity. Behind the Pitch is not a necessity to understand the story but it gives readers another side to Declan that they wouldn’t be introduced to otherwise.

Finding Serenity is Mollie and Vaughn’s story and what a story it is! Mollie is one tough as hell woman. She’s independent and despite a tough situation, she never falters. Being born into the world of bikers, she was taught to defend herself. She just never realized exactly how much she’d need those instincts to keep her going, until it all began to crumble.

Vaughn Winchester is a Marine. Just because you leave the service does not mean that you stop being a Marine. When he meets Mollie, he isn’t ready for the undeniable chemistry between them. But, there is a job he has to accomplish before he can even think of going there. When things begin to heat up their peaceful serenity is shattered and both of them have to face their greatest demons.

I have no idea how Eden managed to do it once again. Somehow she was able to make her sequel even better than the first book. I think it’s partly due to the fact that she’s managed to combine hot rugby players, nerds and now hot Marines into the Seeking Serenity series. I mean, you’re drooling just thinking about that right? I knew it!

I’m literally at a loss for words, I’m still reeling from this book. Finding Serenity definitely has a slightly...darker edge to it than the previous ones. I absolutely love Mollie and Vaughn, we were mildly introduced to both of them previously. We go through the ups and downs with Mollie as she treads through her present situation with Vaughn. Mollie is a bulldog when it comes to something she wants. There are a few curve-balls throughout this book that made me want to reach into my kindle and strangle somebody! I was muttering like a bloody crazy woman about Marines and their stubborn a** personalities.

Finding Serenity is full of suspense, steamy sex scenes and enough Marine action to make your toes curl. You will instantly fall in love with both of these amazing characters and their heartfelt situations. Eden will make you feel everything, especially a Marine’s demons. Everyone has a story and each will eventually find their Serenity.

Mollie Malone is fiercely independent. Having a biker dad taught her to face things head on – things that would send most people running for the hills. So when she starts finding herself in sticky situations, she doesn't think twice about going at it alone.

Then enters Vaughn Winchester; a former Marine that both infuriates her and makes her burn with desire. He has secrets of his own, and though he acts like she’s nothing more than a kid, she sees the way that he looks at her.

With danger lurking around every corner, will this be the push that they need to finally open up to one another? Or will this be the thing that tears them apart completely?

I absolutely adored Finding Serenity. The beginning may have started off a little bit slow for me but it didn't take long for me to become invested in the story, turning page after page to see what happened next.

Mollie is stubborn, headstrong, and at times completely infuriating. But she’s also loyal, kind, and caring. There were plenty of times where her decisions caused to me shake my head while calling her an idiot, but I loved her. She knows what she wants and she goes for it.

Vaughn was someone that I adored. His hot and cold games drove me absolutely batty, but I could understand where he was coming from. And the things that haunt him, well … it’s enough to give anyone a pass in my eyes. He had a few cases of foot-in-mouth syndrome, but what guy doesn't? And the way that he’s protective of Mollie had me smiling all the way through.

This is the second book in the series so it was great to see more interactions with the characters that we came to love in Chasing Serenity. Declan’s brotherly role that he’s adapted to since dating Autumn; the friendship between the girls; and my personal favorite … the prank wars between Layla and Donovan. Oh, how I love those two. They definitely bring the laughs with them wherever they go!

Overall I would give Finding Serenity 4 stars. Eden managed to blend together a fantastic mix of romance, thrills, and comedy that kept me invested in the story until the very end. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment of this series as I thoroughly enjoy the world that she’s created!

Mollie Malone has had things rough. She grew up in a house with her motorcycle club boss father until he was taken to prison. She went to live with her mother who made it clear that she didn't like Mollie because she was her father's daughter. Over the years, Mollie came to find a wonderful support system of friends who became her family. Things are going well until people start coming after her when word gets around that her father will be testifying against a powerful cartel. Vaughn Winchester is a former Marine who has been hired by his DA sister to keep Mollie safe. He has issues of his own, but everything becomes more complicated when it becomes clear that Mollie and Vaughn have a strong attraction to one another and that may prevent Vaughn from keeping her safe.

I love Mollie. I liked her when I read Seeking Serenity, but I like her even more now that I got to know her better. She is strong, honest, feisty and smart. She sees things for what they are and is loyal to her family and friends. Vaughn is a sexy guy with a whole lot of issues. Between his experiences while deployed and the intense tragedies he has faced in his personal life, there is a lot to deal with. Even though he tries to look out for Mollie's best interest, it is hard to see him do and say things that hurt her. That said, when they give in to their serious attraction to one another the sexy stuff is very sexy. I really wanted them to figure things out and give each other the relationship they both deserved. There is a lot of mystery, action, and excitement in this book and it was great to get to spend a little more time with the characters that I came to love from the first book and a half in the series. Declan remains the hot awesome man that I came to love in Seeking Serenity and Behind the Pitch, and I'm still pretty in love with that guy. I have enjoyed everything in this series so far, and I look forward to more. Perhaps a little something with more Layla and Donovan???

Yet another wonderful book by Eden Butler, as were the first two that I read from her. This is book 2 in her Seeking Serenity series. The first, Chasing Serenity, and book 1.5, Behind the Pitch, were both 5 star reads for me!! I have yet to post my reviews for those, but hope to do so soon. Either way, note that they both were wonderful!!
This book is Mollie and Vaughn's story..........

This book, seemed to have a lot more heat in it than the first ones, which I loved. It seemed more of a contemporary romance than a YA novel. Not that there is anything wrong with YA, but after a while, they all seem the same to me. Finding Serenity was a welcome breath of fresh air!! I loved it. And the chemistry between Mollie and Vaughn-- off the charts!!

There was also plenty of angst for those of you that just need to have that in your books, as the road to Mollie and Vaughn's HEA was not a smooth one by any means. There were times that I wanted to choke both of them for not being able to get over their own fears and just go for what they wanted.

These two were just bound to get to where they needed to be, it just took a hell of a long time to get there. The love the two of them found in each other was so pure and true, it almost hurt your heart to experience it. Both of them thinking that they weren't good enough for the other, only to finally realize that they were perfect together, it was amazing.

I can easily say that I am now a fan of Eden Butler's and will be continuing this series, as well as any other works from her, as she seems to be an awesome author. I look forward to her future works.

A definite 5 stars from this Book Junkie!!

This book was alittle slow to grab my attention in the beginning. But once it did I had to read it through to the end.

Mollie Malone was raised by her hard ass biker dad in the middle of a MC world that did not always stay within the lines of the law. She learns how to defend her self and shoot a gun early on. Her father made sure that she was loved and was always protected.

Then the law bust in one day leaving Mollie alone. Her father is gone and will not be coming back for Mollie for a long time. Her mother shows up bring Mollie back to her house in Tennessee. But sometimes the past will follow you wherever you are.

Mollie makes new friends that are more like her family than her own mom and sister. When there threats and accidents start happening to Mollie and her friends, she knows that nothing good can come of it. But her father promised that he would protect her. He does in the form of sexy ex Marine Vaughn Winchester.

Vaughn Winchester has one job to do, keep Mollie Malone safe. But sometimes love is hard to deny. And man does Vaughn try to deny that he is attracted to Mollie and wants her with a passion.

As they are thrust together things heat up for them. But there is lots of blood shed and words throw toward each other. Will Vaughn admit that Mollie is more than just a job to him and share his dark secrets with her?

I think I loved Mollie’s characters the best. She was witty, smart and always had a smart response to whatever was said to her. Although who would not fall in love with an ex Marine, Vaughn, was every girls dream.

I fell head over heels in love yet again with an Eden Butler story.

Finding Serenity is Mollie and Vaughn's story.

Mollie lives with her biker father, feeling loved and secure, no matter what happens she knows her dad loves her and will take care of her. Until he's arrested and she's sent to her mother and sister in Cavanagh, Tennessee. Her mother and sister are complete opposites of Mollie, their lifestyle is not hers.
She makes friends who become her new family. She has people who love her, protect her and look out for just as her dad used to do. She feels safe once again.

Until something from her past becomes a threat. And not just to her but her friends as well.

Enter Vaughn Winchester. Ex marine, brother to the DA and Mollie's newest protector, whether she wants him or not.

Finding Serenity follows both Mollie and Vaughn as they get to know each other. He tries to keep her safe and along the way they both have to exorcise their own demons.
No spoilers, just know this one's definitely one click worthy!

I don't know how to choose between Vaughn or Declan, I can't I adore them both.
I fell for Declan in book one, didn't think a man could get any better than him, then along comes Vaughn in book 2 and I'm falling all over again. The characters in these books are so easy to love, all the girls are quirky in their own way but all fiercely loyal to each other. Great characters, great story, wonderfully well written.

****4 Semper Fi STAR Review from SAR Blog****

Finding Serenity is the 3rd book of the Seeking Serenity series and is in in a 3rd POV. This will be in Mollie Malone's and Vaughn Winchester's POV. I am not use to reading 3rd POV but it didn't matter and the story pulled me in even more than the first two books. Mollie Malone is the daughter of a MC aka Mojo but when she was 13 yr of age, the cops arrested all the people who helped raise her, even her father. Several years later, while in college, she runs into an ex marine Vaughn but is this run in a coincidental?

Both Mollie and Vaughn are hiding secrets and these secrets are put to the test while running from danger from every corner that Mollie seems to not be able to escape. Mollie knows there is more to Vaughn that what he is wanting to tell her because all of a sudden he has a lot of interests and always around longer.

This book has a lot more suspense, tests of true friendship, emotional heartbreak and a lot of hot swooning. I am so hoping for a book for Layla and Donovan because this book brings out more sexual tension between these characters than ever before!

Eden has done it again! She writes full-bodied, warm and engaging characters, where you are HELPLESS to fall or feel for them. But, they also are true to life, REAL, and VERY human.

Vaughn and Mollie have felt the sparks for each other since the end of CHASING SERENITY. Vaughn is ex-military and Mollie is a young woman who has learned how to move past (but yet acknowledge) her own rocky start in life.

These two are a couple I wouldn't have put together, but yet when Eden throws them into each other's world, all those issues and earlier problems seem to melt away, and you are left with two people who seriously belong to each other. Yes, they will have to overcome some instances of danger together, but it's a melding of lives and hearts that end up pulling them into forever.

If nothing, you should read ALL of Eden's books, simply for her characterization and that LOVELY 'flow' and 'lyrical' writing quality she has. If you are a fan of steamy romance, HAWT military men and headstrong heriones, those are the cherries on top!

I'm definitely looking forward to Layla and Sayo's stories!

Mollie and Vaughn are in a class all of their own. Both have issues and have a past that get in there way of moving forward afraid to let any one know their vulnerable side. But when they finally let that side shine through it was a beauty to behold. You can't help but fall in love with these characters. This the second book in the Seeking Serenity Series and I loved the way that Eden gave us the characters we fell in love with in Chasing Serenity. Declan is still the overbearing and lovable Irish man that we love with.
But Vaughn, Vaughn is the Alpha with the heart of gold trying to protect the girl he fought so hard to not fall for.
Now I loved Mollie, independent and unafraid, she is a woman after my own heart. She strives to show everyone that yes although she is her father's daughter she is so MUCH MUCH MORE.
Eden's writing style is exciting, fun and most of HOT! I love the twists and turns she gives us in this story, it keeps you invested in the characters demanding that you finish out the book. I definitely can not wait for the next installment in the beautiful series!

Finding Serenity

Another great story by Eden Butler! All the major characters from Chasing Serenity are back and you get to learn so much more about Mollie. She didn’t play too big a role in Chasing Serenity so I wasn’t sure if I would like this book as much but I came to enjoy her and Vaughn so much. Mollie is a sassy, intelligent and very tough woman. She has her weaknesses but it just makes her more relatable. I think Eden does an amazing job building both characters. Their strengths and flaws help make them both perfect for each other. I like the choice to write dual POV’s within the novel. It does start a little slow but picks up after the first few chapters. It also helps once some of the major questions are answered along the way. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Well Ms. Butler you have got a fan in me! This is another fantastic story with a slightly different take than the book with Autumn and Declan. Where that book was full of sexual tension this book with Mollie and Vaughn is full of angst and intrigue and I loved every word. But rest assured, this book has some HOT steam and it delicious! I loved how Mollie is a tough badass chick. There is no wonder considering she grew up in a biker gang whom her dad was the MC. And Vaughn being a tatted up military hottie....yes please! I can't say enough about this book and this author. 5+++++++ stars!!!!!!

Oh my goodness Eden Butler did it again. She killed it. Finding Serenity is book 2 in the Seeking Serenity series and so far my favorite. I loved the first book Chasing Serenity but this one was in my opinion so much better. It brought in romance and mystery in one. I couldn't put it down.

Though I liked the first, I enjoyed the development of this second book better. Where Autumn may have come off judgmental in the first book, Mollie makes up for it with her tell-it-like-it-is, no frills personality. And though its hard to be attracted to anyone but Declan, Vaughn definitely sneaks up on you. I cried and laughed...and thoroughly enjoyed this read.
