a DK eyewitness book full of the nice pictures we love and expect from such book series. but this one lacks any content regarding modern building techniques. the historical ones are amazing and infinitely but the book didn’t specify itself as a “historical” building book. and thus three stars.

that fifth star for the fact that, thanks to this book, I FINALLY understand what all the hype about quarter-sawn oak is ;) No but really, no one ever explained it so succinctly to me before.
