Bill Jelen is the host of MrExcel.com and the author of 50 books about Microsoft Excel including Pivot Table Data Crunching, Excel Gurus Gone Wild, and Guerrilla Data Analysis Using Microsoft Excel. He writes monthly Excel columns for Strategic Finance magazine.
He has been awarded the MVP in Excel for 10 years by Microsoft.

Updated to include PowerPivot, Power View, and Power Map in Excel 2013.

While I found this book instructive, I also found that the authors left a lot to be desired in their approach to instructing the reader. It seems that the authors don't believe in consistency in their coding examples, as they frequently had code example with both declared and undeclared variables. Also, they should have provided two sets of file for this book; one set showing their code examples and the second set just clean data files so the reader can go through all the steps to duplicate what the authors did to create their examples (which the authors didn't always cover/explain).
