Claudy never stops amazing me with her writing... I am being honest when I say this, every time I read one of her books I tell myself that it is my favorite but then I read another of her books and I say that one is my favorite.. For me her books keep getting better and better..

Whether its historical or paranormal Claudy always makes it magical and enchanting.. She always manages to make her books special.. Each memorable in its own way..

This book was really just beyond amazing! So very magical.. The passion was sizzling.. I was fanning myself and sighing soo much.. Her details are always so vivid, transforming my mind.. I literally felt like I stepped through a portal while reading this book. I was taken into the story so very deeply.. The pace flowed so perfectly..

From page one to the very last page you will be in awe.. Each and every page has a twist or surprise that makes you happy... There are a lot of moments when you will say "Wow that is so cool"

Quinn, a handsome hulking scot.. enough said? no, his accent is soo yummy.. He is a sorcerer and was cursed.. He doesn't realize it but his whole world changes with one look at Rave.

Ravena, is a bad ass female shifter with other secrets trying to get out.. She takes a trip to visit her dad and her whole world changes..

These 2 take you on a wild ride that will include lots of action, passion and sizzling sex scenes.. The sexual chemistry is off the charts.. You can feel the emotion..

Claudy writes extraordinary characters.. so very lovable.. The secondary characters really stood out in this tale and I can't wait to read the 2nd book in the series.. This book was very well written.

Rating: 5 Smoking Stars
Cover: Sexy.. Fits the story perfectly
Characters: Unforgettable and so very lovable
Story line: Addicting with a flowing pace
Will I continue reading books by this author: Oh Yes!! No doubt about it

This is my first read by Claudy Conn, and now I can see why she has so many fans. Quicksilver is a sweet enchanted romance that started out interesting and ended interesting , well not really ended fore I believe we will be graced with more Wolves ,Fae ,Druids ,Demons and Lykens. I loved the main characters but Quinn in my imagination is besides pure sex is pure adorable too. Quinn's accent just adds to the attraction. Don't miss this book it will bring a sweet smile to your face. Thanks Claudy will be seeing your name on my kindle again very soon.

My Thoughts

Lets start off by saying this is one awesome author. Since the first time I picked up one of her novels I was hooked. Claudy's novels are so engaging and filled with tons of romance and adventure. Love her books and they only kept getting better and better.

Wow ! What a way to start off this new series with a serious bang. This novel was a page turner from the being to end !What a great plot to keep you engaged right from page one.

The story is about Ravena MacAllister who is always been different from others but, never really wanted to admit she was different with very special abilities. She wanted to be human so never really explored her special talents . A broken heart takes her off to Scotland to spend the summer with her father but, once there never realizing that she will be asked to participate in and adventure where she will have no choice but to acknowledge her powers and put her powers to the test.

Then we have the sexy shape-shifter who was cursed and sent back in time
Quinn MacValdane and no other can bring him forth but ,Ravena MacAlister. Evil forces are at work and time is an issue making it a life and death situation.

I have to say that the characters in this story were all great loved them all even the bad ones ! (LOL)

There was really a tie for the most likable character but I loved Ravena and Quinn both equally. Just love reading time travel novels a lot so I was so glad to get to read about Ravena and Quinn's adventure.Quinns grand-father confides in Ravena that he needs her help to release Quinn from the curse that has plagued him and his family.

Quinn MacValdane had left his guard down seventy-five years ago and the evil Andrew MacPoole managed to send him through the Quicksilver portal where he couldn't get back to his castle due to a curse. The prophesy says there is one one person who would be able to release Quinn from this curse and Ravena seems to be his chosen mate and the one who would be able to end his entrapment and return him to the future.

Love this adventure. There was so much intrigue going on in the now and its past. The story kept you so engrossed never knowing what would happen next. There is danger lurking and every turn. It seems that the one who put the curse on Quinn may be dabbling in black magic as well and is a Royal Fae to boot.Andrew MacPoole has a story of his own making him and even more intriguing and more dangerous than any of the others.A dangerous Fae with many faces...

Loved the descriptions of the beautiful lands of where Quinn was living.Secrets are unfolded and rhymes and poems are deciphered in order to help Ravena with her quest. The first moment she sees Quinn through the Quicksilver glass she is drawn to Quinn and is having and overwhelming attraction to him like no other.Quinn feels the same for Ravena but, one thing he knows about Ravena from the beginning is she is his life-mate and the only thing he will need to do is convince her of it and in the same breath find a way to be able to carve out a future and hope to break the curse while doing it.

The romance between Ravena and Quinn was a sweet one. Ravena coming from a recent breakup is not wanting a romantic involvement. But, Ravena's hormones are dancing to a different tune!Quinn was a clever handsome fellow and just a down to earth sweet guy who had a sense of humor and new to tread carefully with Ravena giving him the patience of a saint . Ahhh ....Not So easy for a Highlander and a shape-shifter wolf to do as they are bossy and protective all of the time even more so when there instinct takes over knowing that you will die to protect your mate and loved ones.

There were quiet a few surprises I did not see coming but, did have one pleasant surprise and that was that Prince Breslyn found his way into the story as he is definitely a favorite character of mine from Claudy's other novels giving me a huge smile !.

This novel goes into the keeper pile for me as well as Claudy others books. You know you have written a great book when you have the reader looking forward to reading the story all over again. This novel had all the things that book a great book good plot, lots of surprises that keep you own your toes, secrets coming to light and a great romance that forms between two great characters ! This novel will make you laugh and cry and say OMG what next ?

Claudy Conn has done a fantastic job in introducing us to her new characters and up and coming series !

A recommended read to all !

A very magical, gripping, exciting and romantic read that would not allow its reader to put it down for a moment (I should know). Great lovable characters, a story that is so vividly written it plays like a movie in your head and all in a fantastical world that makes you want to go for a visit. Any paranormal romance reader out there would love Hungry Moon-Quicksilver!

Raven lives a human life as much as she possibly can. Deeply burying her magical side due to the fact her mother is not a magical being and Raven herself does not want to accept it. Things change dramatically for her when she finds her thought to be best friend in a situation with the man she’s grown to care for deeply. She takes a trip to visit her father in Scotland and the floodgates open as wide as possible, pouring out more and more changes. Some negative, most positive, but what changes most for her is her heart once she meets Quinn...

Quinn is an incredible, magical hot stud muffin of a male that has been trapped somewhere not of earths plain many years ago and has yet to figure out a way to get back home. Being trapped for 75 years and having someone that has never given up looking for a way out for him, he becomes flawed when the he meets the one possibility to be set free and his body practically goes haywire. Now together they embark on a mission to get him home.

This book has a lot of paranormal to it, a hot wizard, demons, shape shifters and more! A must read hot romance, with a beautiful family feel, a handsome hero and beautiful (and kick butt) heroine and very magical element that sizzles the pages; definitely a great book to escape away with again and again! I look forward to much more of Claudy Conn’s works. I LOVE her writing style :)

Hungry Moon: Quicksilver by Claudy Conn
Hungry Moon Series Book 1
Ravena MacAllister almost messed up her life by just settling for some guy, thanks to her friend Meg that didn't happen. She is content going to the Highlands of Scotland to be with her dad for the summer. A place where she has more freedom to be who she really is, although Rave tried to hide the secrets within, even from herself. Wanting to just live her life as a normal human, something she was not and never would be. Life in the Highlands was not quite what she expected this year though and it was time to unite with herself….or die.

Quinn MacValdane had left his guard down seventy-five years ago and the evil Andrew MacPoole managed to send him through the Quicksilver portal where he couldn’t get back to his castle due to a curse. There was a prophesy about The One, someone who would break the curse. Seems that The One was a beautiful wee lass. Quinn found he immediately wanted to protect her, but how could he, when he was stuck behind the mirror while she could travel to and fro?

Once again Claudy takes her readers to the beautiful Highlands. A place of both beauty and danger. A place full of adventure, excitement, twists, turns and of course….romance. Travel along as Rave struggles to accept who she truly is before she is able to fight both the known and unknown villains, or should I say seen and unseen. She also had to figure out how to get Quinn back into this world. And never forget that not everybody is who they seem to be. The beginning of another great series.

Hungry Moon-Quicksilver is a priceless gem among the paranormal romance genre. I simply loved every minute of reading this book. Claudy Conn did an outstanding job creating the world and characters. I loved how everything was explained in detail and I felt like I was right there in the middle of everything.

You find everything from, wizards, druids, demons, shape-shifters and so much more in the story. This story has action, mystery, magic and a passionate romance.

What I liked best was Quinn. Not only is he a wizard he is also a werewolf and not the type we normally read, you know just a regular wolf shifter. Nope not Quinn, he is not the really cute and cuddly dog type we read about all the time. However, with his Scottish accent and really hot looks when the full moon is not out he can really draw a lady LOL. Unfortunately Quinn ends up cursed and waits an eternity before one woman can save him.

I want to address this sex. There is not much sexual action in this story. You get a few good lengthy sex scenes but mostly you get some hot sexual tension. I really thought what was presented fit the story and characters well.

I loved the HEA ending and hope to read the next book soon.
If you’re tired of the same old paranormal romance stories please give this one a try as soon as you can because I highly recommend this one.

This is one of those books I went into thinking I knew what to expect and all my expectations where blown out of the water. There is a slight crossover with the Legend series, not enough that I suggest reading those first but once you meet Prince Breslyn I think you'll want to read them next!

It always surprises me how much Claudy can fit into a book, this one is 270 pages of werewolves, druids, fae, dark magic, prophecies, intrigue, action and romance. I can't wait to see how the next installment builds on this, Claudy's imagination knows no bounds and I love the journey's she takes me on.

I always feel a kinship for her heroines, they are always fiesty and willing to fight for what they believe in and her Hero's are always rather yummy! A winning combination for me.

Claudy once again knocks it out of the park with this book. I was addicted from the moment I started reading it and found it impossible to put down.

The story between Ravena and Quinn definitely ranks up there among my favorites. I loved how she was able to tie in characters and story lines from her other books, while also building on an entirely new story.

The way she tells a story pulls you into the world she creates and makes it impossible to leave. I look forward to book 2 in this series, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

REVIEW:
There is a prophecy to be fulfilled and it will take Ravena Macallister to break it.
Ravena has been living her entire life so far as a human. Although she is anything but. After a huge heartbreak by her boyfriend and best friend Ravena decides to go to Scotland to stay with her father as she has always loved Scotland. Ravena has been asked by their long time friend and neighbor Arthur MacValdane to assist him in breaking the prophecy. In order to this Ravena must go through a Enchanted Mirror aka QuickSilver to another dimension . In this dimension we have Quinn MacValdane beloved nephew and heir to Arthur. He is a werewolf who has been spelled into this dimension by his evil cousin Andrew MacPoole. Arthur and Quinn are wizards and of White Light Magic where evil Andrew is of Black Magic. There is a ton of page turning passion and yes some hot steamy scenes as well . We also have action between those in the other dimension . Can Ravena let go of her past of heartbreak and mistrust long enough to realize she has found her true love and mate in Quinn MacValdane? Can they save Arthur from the dark magic of Andrew? Ravena knows she will fight to the death for those she loves .
Claudy Conn has done it again . The story pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
We have Fae, Shifters, Wizards, Druids, Demons and more !!!

Update: I finished it. My OCD brain would not let me DNF the dang book. I stand by my review. The book was bad. The only good thing? It ended at 80%.

Do not waste your time

DNF'ed at 67%

I. Hated. This. Book. I couldn't do it. I tried I really did. I left it on my currently reading shelf for two months. I came back to it thinking I could do it. Turns out I could not. It's gotten it's fair share of good reviews but for me it was tediously boring. Rave goes on about not trusting men because of her bad experience and then real quick after meeting Quinn decides "meh, what's the worse that could happen?". Arthur is a meddling tiresome old man. I couldn't stand him and Quinn! Ugh! What a hardheaded imbecile! I have no idea what the authors fascination with A names is but Arthur, Andrew, Arlie wtf?! Millions of names out there and she picked ones that all have to sound the same?! And the accent! Oh no the accent! I'm usually all into Highlander books but this on again off again accent drove me to the edge. Okay rant over. Will not recommend, will definitely NOT CONTINUE THIS SERIES.

WARNING! Not a YA Read.. intended for those 18 and over.

OMGosh! What a storyteller Claudy Conn is.. I absolutlely LOVE this book. I would enjoy this if it were made into a movie..

Ravena - or Rave as I will be calling her - has just gone through a painful situation when she decides to embark on a journey to Scotland to stay with her dad... Faced with many twists and turns, Rave has issues with her heritage causing an internal battle, one she must deal with in order to achieve the task at hand, helping Quinn MacValdane. Will she succeed?

I Love the way Claudy wrote this book with the thick Scottish burr.. It brings the characters to life and they become more believable... The world building is consistent and intense with just enough steam and spice to make it come to life as you read it..

There is always an element of magic, sex, and mystical creatures in Claudy's stories. I Love it.. Bring on book 2

This book is amazing.

Rave is hurt by choices that her then boyfriend and supposedly best friend are caught in the act doing. But does that get her down, nope. She goes to her fathers for a break. Oh and what a break it was.
Her life gets more interesting upon talking with long time friend and neighbor Arthur.

Want to know why? Get the book! You wont be disappointed.

After a horrible betrayal by a supposed friend, Rave heads to Scotland. Rave has a secret that she tries to keep hidden inside of her. She isn't human, she acts like she is, she wants to be, but she isn't. When she meets the ravishing Quinn, her world is sent into a tailspin. He is handsome and they have an instant attraction. Quinn has secrets of his own though. They will work together to try to help Quinn and in the process help Rave to accept who and what she is. They aren't the only ones with secrets though and before all is said and done will secrets destroy them both? Sizzling hot and set in beautiful Scotland, this book has a bit of it all, demons, magic, shifters, hot guys, romance and suspense. Claudy has done it again. On a side note, I really want to go to Scotland now.

I needed a book for "Q" for our A-Z challenge and found this one. Paranormal romance is so not my genre to read, but this one was not all that bad, it also had a urban fantasy feel to it. This is the first book in the Hungry Moon series.

Synopsis
Ravena MacAllister doesn’t want to admit what she is. She wants to continue pretending she’s just human … only human, like her mother, like her friends.

But she isn’t human.

Heartbreak and betrayal send her off rushing to Scotland, to a familiar haven where she has spent so many summers with her father, but she soon discovers that everything has changed.

From the moment she meets Quinn MacValdane, shock waves travel through him to her and back again, wrapping them in a tide of passion she had never dreamt possible. But if they are to have a future together, she must confront who and what she is, for she will need to call on the powers within her as she becomes embroiled in an adventure that will alter her life forever.

I really don't have much interest in paranormal romance but I found that this one was not too bad. The plot had a good pacing with quite a bit of action. The sex in the book was not over the top, thank goodness, but it was heavily dosed with instalove. I also could not stop imagining one of the main characters as being Jamie from Outlander since this did take place in Scotland. The author had the language and accent dead on so it made the book fun to say the least. I think that most fans of paranormal romance would like this one.

I did quite enjoy the 2 main characters in this, especially Quinn due to his likeness of Jamie, although there really was not much backstory for either of them. I am sure they will continue to develop throughout the series. I did not find them particularly relatable, but I did like their personalities. I also enjoyed Lassiter whose character was a bit deceptive leaving me wondering if he was good or not. That kept me thinking throughout the whole story.

I can recommend this to most paranormal fans. It is worth the read, even if you don't like paranormal. I am not sure if I will continue this series or not yet, we will see.

I really enjoyed Quicksilver it kept me absorbed in the storyline from beginning to end and I look forward to reading the next instalment.

Quinn MacValdane only months from his thirtieth birthday was feeling the pressure to take a wife and provide an heir to the family name and land. Quinn decided to take the shortcut through the woods and head to the tavern for a while to distract himself. He had heard the rumours of the woods but shrugged them off as he was a powerful sorcerer who feared not the mere beast to which they spoke. He should have listened! for now he was face to face with an evil he had never seen and although he may survive he will be bound by its curse.

Ravena Macallister has her whole life in front of her. She has her BA in Fashion and is ready to take on the future both personally and professionally. As Ravena readies herself to make the first step in the rest of her life she is stuck with an unforgivable heartache and betrayal that will force her to rethink everything she believed was real.

Deciding to take the trip she had planned to see her father in the Highlands of Scotland Ravena leaves hoping to make sense of all that has occurred. Still devastated by the betrayal, an encounter with Arthur a man Ravena loves like a grandfather is about to make her take an honest look at herself and realise not everything is as it seems. Arthur knows Ravena truth, now it is time to tell her and hope she is ready to face both her destiny and her connection to his family as she is the pure soul he will need if he is to save Quinn from the curse and return thing to the way they should be.

Quicksilver will take you on a journey as Ravena and Quinn must fight pure evil to save everything they love from being destroyed.

This was a fairly quick and light read. From the start, I was very interested in the world that CC created in this book, particularly the whole Druid and werewolf mix of the heroine. However, I would have liked it if she had expanded more on the whole two realms thing and just slowed things down. A LOT.

CC didn't give the reader any time to enjoy the development of the story because everything was so fast-paced. For example, Ravena came to terms with things very quickly, one second rejecting her heritage and her part in the ancient prophecy and the next fully accepting everything. The quick pace of the book made it hard to connect with the characters and actually made the dialogue and story feel a little bit cheesy and amateurish. It feels like the author was too eager to write the book and didn't take the time to develop her characters and her back story more thoroughly.

Because everything was revealed so quickly to us, the reader didn't have time to experience the emotions that the book would have evoked had the story developed more slowly. This is what made it just an ok read, because the premise of the book was interesting, but the pace and undeveloped ideas screwed it up big time for me.

I also didn't particularly like the fact that the hero and heroine were on each other in minutes. Like literally, just a few minutes. If you've read some of my other reviews, you know that I find the whole I-can't-think-of-anything-except-my-intense-attraction-towards-you thing really frustrating and annoying, and that was full-blown here.

Overall, the book had a lot of potential but fell short due to its fast pace.

Magical and Sexy!!!!

I have to say Claudy Conn has never disappointed me and Hungrymoon-Quicksilver is no exception. Each of Claudy's books brings you on a magical adventure. This book not only has shifters, but wizards and unknown villains as well. Ravena decides to take a trip to Scotland to visit her father after she suffers heartbreak and betrayal. She is constantly at war with herself and doesn't want to admit what she really is. Not even to herself. When she meets chunky Scotsman Quinn, a sorcerer, all the walls she so desperately tried to keep up come crumbling down around her. Ravena is forced not only to deal with her own inner demons, but must figure out how to help Quinn be released from his own curse.
This book was a page turner from beginning to end and I couldn't put it down. Claudy Conn is one of my go to authors because each book she writes brings you to a new and different world of true love, magic, and adventure. Can't wait to read more books in this amazing series.

Enjoyable read but cliffhanger ending.

I love a good a good shifter book but they're not that easy to find, this book is free, the blurb is good and it currently has three really good reviews two 5 star and one 4 star, so I must admit I was really looking forward to reading it.
A lot of normal people wish to be more, Ravena MacAllister is so much more but just wants to be normal, for years she's been denying herself and fighting against her nature. Nursing a broken heart she travels to Scotland to spend the summer with her father but she gets more than she ever expected.
Just hearing Quinn MacValdanes name makes her shiver, she's never felt this way before and this proves to be a summer like no other, she finally fully accepts who she is and acknowledges her heritage.
This book contained so much, at one point I had it all figured out, I've read so many of these books I knew what was going to happen next, well I thought I did but as it turned out I didn't have it quite as figured out as I thought.
I enjoyed this read once I'd got used to Quinn speaking but I really struggled with Ravena having long blonde hair, I just couldn't picture it at all, her grandmother is a Native American Shaman and she's basically called Raven seemed an odd choice of name for a blonde since with that name I picture long black hair.
Like I've said I enjoyed this book but it wouldn't be a honest review if I didn't mention the things I didn't like, Ravena's wolf for a start annoyed me and

************SPOILER*********

Quinn, he's not supposed to be stupid but he's been trapped for decades killing the same demon night after night never giving a thought as to why, he completely shuts down when anyone tries to talk to him about this, it's inconceivable really that he'd never question what was really going on.

***************END OF SPOILER***************

The thing I disliked the most was the ending, I'd no idea it was a cliffhanger ending there was no mention in the blurb so I checked out the second book 'Hungry Moon-Destiny' where it mentions a hybrid and a wolf shifter and the names Luke and Kelsey so I assumed, wrongly I know that this was a complete story, it didn't help that at 81% it just ends.

Excellent read

This is a excellent and powerful book by Claudy Conn. It is about a wizard named Quinn who was pushed through a portal unwittingly by Andrew, a man of dark magic.. in this realm there is also a man named Lassiter that has been cursed by Andrew, he is in great pain every night until he kills something with a beating heart. Quinn goes out every night in search of Lassiter before he kills another child, however when he does kill Lassiter, he returns the next night, he has not figured out how to kill this monster permanently. Then we also have Ravenna who is a Druid priestess. Her parents are separated and she went to visit her dad who is getting married to Mary who is a white witch. Raven also goes to visit her Uncle Arthur who tells her a story about Quinn. He also tells her that he is a wizard and he knows that she is "the one" that well help Quinn escape from the portal back into this world. Arthur shows Ravenna the portal which is a mirror, however, all she sees is herself. He tells her to look harder and then pushes her through the portal. At first she is upset with him yet he did not feel he had any other choice, she needed to hear Quinn's story. I can not tell you the characters you will meet such as Arlie, or the talk of Ravenna's grandmother, and others. This is full of adventure and will keep you engaged in the book. Exceptional read!

What a beautiful magical world that this author gives us with some amazing characters [Ravina, Quinn, Arthur] that will keep you attention to the end. The two main characters will take you on one wild ride where there will be 'lots of action along with passion and romance. Be ready for a ride with 'werewolves, fae, druids, demons, prophecies, wizards, dark magic, shape-shifters and lykens.' I loved the HEA ending as the reader will see there will be other series. So, if you re into a paranormal reads with lots of action with lots of twist and turns you have come to the right place for a good read that I would recommend to you.

I received a copy via Insta-Freebie for an honest review.

Quinn is a very physical boy, "he was on her in a flash. She could feel his wolf, sensed it's need for release as he wrapped his arms around her body. He held her against him and held her in place with his powerful embrace." I mean the boy can go on forever, "Quinn...your stamina is..." As his lips traveled over her belly, she let the sentence drift off with a pleasurable groan." There is a cliffhanger so the story isn't over. I liked this book minus the cliffhanger.

When Ravena is cheated on by her boyfriend with her best friend she decides to head to the highlands to spend some time with her father. Only when she gets there she learns that he will be leaving for a few weeks to get married. Instead finds herself helping Arthur, who she considers like a grandfather, free a werewolf from a portal where he is trapped. The connection between herself and Quinn is undeniable, but can she trust him to be different from her last boyfriend?

Quinn has been trapped in Delmar, a previous fae vacation spot, through a portal by the grandson of someone he killed years ago. The black magic can only be broken by one person and it now appears that she has been found. Not only has she been found but her wolf calls to his. There is nothing he can do to protect her when she is outside the portal until the curse is broken, though.

Magic, shifters, fae, and immortals. Oh my. This book has it all and a combination. For once out of the books I have been reading recently there is a nice background story going on, but the actual story is resolved during it's pages. There is nothing unresolved between the two of them and that part of the story is nicely wrapped up. Definitely a nice change from a lot of series books that you read anymore. This romance is fun to read and will leave you looking forward to the next page and what happens next.

This was somewhere between a 2.5 to a 3 star read for me. Ravena goes to spend time with her father in Scotland after an upsetting experience with her boyfriend. Shortly after we meet Arthur which is a neighbor to her father and a sort of grandfather figure to Ravena. Arthur tells Ravena she is the one to break a curse and help Quinn, who has been trapped in another land/dimension/whatever you want to call it for 75 years. They can communicate through a mirror. It's a fated mates story, which I don't really mind although I do prefer a slow burn romance. It wasn't awful, but I didn't feel any type of connection to Ravena.

Oh dear, I really wanted to like this as the premise sounded great - magic, romance and the Scottish Highlands. Unfortunately the incredibly poor attempt at writing in a Scots dialect put me off going past page 36, it was the phrase, "she just doona know it yet" that was the last straw, (I live in Scotland and NO ONE would say that!).

I'm sure if you are willing to overlook the terrible version of Scots you might enjoy it, unfortunately not for me.
