Every time I open this book, I feel attacked. =D Visually, I mean. Every last millimeter is put to use, it's just a wall of text and images and AGGGHHH! When I can force myself past the visual overwhelm, the experiments seem interesting, but... I know our son, and there is no way he is going to use this book by choice.

Nor will I -- I've had it for several years and avoided it with a conviction that surprises even me. YMMV!

This is how math should be taught, as a science and history class. Not simply formula driven , but project oriented. Shame on our schools for undermining and destroying(for most students) this wonderful knowledge of how our world works.
