No doubt about it, I've always loved books. When we were small, my parents always read to my sister and me at bedtime. My dad used a sleepy-yawny voice that I now realize was his attempt to make us fall asleep.
As the younger sister, I got so mad when it worked!
I read tons of books as a kid and on into my twenties and thirties.
I still read now, but not nearly as much. Don't know why, maybe age, maybe becoming a writer myself, maybe both, but not as many books intrigue me, pull me in, involve me in characters' lives as before.
I love to write, and began writing stories for kids at my favorite age, nine to twelve. Then I grew up a little to write teen books.
'Disappearing Act',is a short but exciting crime novel is my first venture in to grown up fiction!

This book was very good! It was interesting all the way through! Curt didn't want to play baseball anymore, and he was peer pressured into doing cocaine. I didn't like how quickly the parents knew that he had a drug addiction because it was kind of unrealistic. It would be realistic if your parents knew every single thing about you and where you were going at all times. I loved how even though Curt was rude to his best friend and Leah, they still ended up being there for him in the end to help him with his addiction. This book was really good and had a very interesting storyline.

I read the book No Problem I thought it was going to be a good book but it wasn't. I thought the book was going to be about a kid that loved baseball but instead it was about a kid that had problems with drug. He like to play baseball when he was young but as he got older he started to hate it. He only played it because his dad always told him he would be something big in baseball if he tried his best. The main character is curt he is a boy that got addicted to drugs because of one incident. That incident was his shoulder started to hurt so his baseball coach gave him some pills and told him to take them only when he needed them. That is when it all started from and it got worse. Curt had everything a beautiful girlfriend a loving mom and dad and a best friend but even when he had all that with all the drugs he was doing he could not tell that the people around him cared about him. When he started with the drugs he lost all interest in everything but his friends and family did not give up on him. The only reason I did not like it was because i thought it was going to be about a kid that loved baseball not a kid that hated baseball and started to do with drugs. I would say if you like to read about kids doing drugs and trying to get help then this a book for you but for me it wasn't.

In this book, we hear about a guy that was making a name for himself in the baseball world but that whole dream fell short because of addiction to drugs. Everything he had in life was great. He had his girlfriend, a great job during the summer, and most importantly, a great high school baseball career. He had the potential to play professional baseball but that all got thrown away because on a bad mistake. He fell into a cocaine addiction. after that, everything he had in life was going down the drain.

In my opinion, I personally liked the book but didn't at the same time. I thought the story was great and it caught my attention but then after a while I wasn't amused reading. The beginning of chapter twelve was where I gave my attention the most. It starts with the main character Curt walking off the field in the middle of a game and the coach and a teammate tried to bring him back to the field but he kept walking until he got home way later. there, his mom met him at the door and worried where he said things that made her cry. A while after, he realized what he did and apologized to her about earlier. This part here stood out to me the most because is had tension at the game and then it turned a little emotional when Curt got home.

No Problem is a book I will never forget or unlike. Sniff sniff and there was white powder left on the bottom of Curt's nose and he was instantly high.
This book is about a boy named curt who loves the game of baseball. He works at a grocery store and meets a girl. They fall in love but that soon ends due to Curt’s decisions.
There was really one character that was relevant and that was Curt his parents don't really do much his dad gives him mean looks when he pitches bad and his mom just tries to take his mind off of baseball. His girlfriend Leah plays a big part in the story Curt really likes her and always wants to be with her and apparently he plays baseball better when she comes to watch his games. Rachel oh Rachel she works with Curt at the grocery store she’s a bad person and leads Curt’s into very bad things.
I would give this book overall was about a ⅗ stars its was good until the last fourth. But I would still recommend it because I had a good time reading it and I would read it again.

I really liked this book. It felt a little bit accelerated, so Curt's drug abuse sped up, but considering the number of pages, the author did a great job of fleshing out the main character and his addiction.

The parents were totally useless characters, but I liked Stuart even though he had a small part.

The author did a great job with this book.

this was my first book in the books that im going to read before the spring break.... it was good because i could really connect to it... not in the im a teen, on a baseball team, doing drugs, while working a supermarket place, with a girlfriend that has a alcoholic dad, and at the same time a 20 something year old lady is hitting on me, kind of way, but in the i now a guy who went through most of the problems in the book, kind of way. what i would guess is the theme for this book is...if you have family and friends who want to help you let them because you will only end up worse. <--- that is my guess is and what i could figure out of this. i recomend this to anyone who just is bored out of there mind and wants to read something with suspense and A LOT of action and wired drama because i don't know if this is spoiler alert put... the dude does drugs... later on in the book he starts to do drugs. first, its when a girl give him a ride home, never mind this IS spoiler alert, so... the 20 something year old lady instead o driving him home... takes him to her place for a bite to eat. she starts to take out a bag out "white powder" (crack, coke, super weed, etc) and with a straw starts to snort it, the guy, Curt tries some, he later leaves. later on in the book he becomes so stressed out he quits the baseball team, starts to lose control of his life, and goes to party with the lady, Rachelle, there he does drugs pot&crack, he drinks alcohol and his friends get worried. so as you can see i just gave you about 1/3 of the the book, yes it is a short book, but it does teach you alot even with in the 87 pages, and of course the ending. although you can basically summeries what the guys is going to do, and whats going to happen to him, the ending is a little bad... scratch that... it completely sucks although i can give you the end... im too lazy, hehe, but still read it... especialy if your a parent and your smart, cause ur child/ children might be going throught the same thing.

This book isn’t what it seems to be by the cover. This book is about a kid named curt who has a major drug problem. He started out as a kid who played baseball because of his dad. He didn’t really like baseball, but his dad told him that he was really good and he could go somewhere in life if he played. His drug problem all started when he hurt his shoulder and his coach gave him some pills to release the pain. He started taking them more and more and soon got addicted. He soon got into even worse drugs such as cocaine. His life got worse from there. He had a good family and a girlfriend that he threw away for drugs. he couldn’t tell anyone because they would be disappointed so he kept it to himself. He started to push everyone out of his life and was isolated from family and friends.
I personally liked this book because it shoed real world problems and how they occur. It also shows hoe a normal kid can turn into a drug addict. If you like to read about real life events and drug stores then this is the book for you. Also for such a short book this has a good story and content.

I think that this book was alot better than I thought that it was going to be. It is a fiction short story that is only 87 pages, but it seems like that its longer because of how good the plot is.
This story is about a boy, named Curt, that is in high school having the normal family problems, so he turns to drugs for the stresses of his life. Curt's dad is the coach of the basebell team and he pressers him into playing because he thinks that he is the best pitcher in the whole league. The only problem is that he doesn't like playing the game. Curt also has the normal girlfriend problems and the problems with friends.
Overall I give this book a four out of five stars. I thought my favorite part of this book was that of how small it was. I don't likereading long books and this was a very good story in a short time. I also think that I liked this story is because It was partally about baseball.

The fiction story "No Problem", by Dayle Campbell Gaetz was tragic for the main character Curt. His life was going great, he had a perfect girlfriend, a job, awesome friends, and a guaranteed spot as professional baseball player. But all of this changed in the blink of an eye because of an addiction. After this, everything went downhill for Curt. Curt is stressed out and trying getting by and he just can't say no to peer pressure.

This story was a great read and was full of excitement. For example Curt is a great baseball player and has it all going for him until an addiction changes everything. The addiction described by Curt was "Cocaine?" and the addiction was formed because of one of Curt's co-workers. This is a great climax because you are totally blind sided by his actions. This story is full of drama and is very realistic. For example his girl friend and him get in fights and so do him and his friends. This story is interesting and I recommend you read it.

So far this book is about a boy named Curt that is going threw a little "teenage" problems. He is a baseball player that has a huge crush on a real hot and popular girl. Currently he is going out with a girl name Leah. Seeing how their relationship is going, i wonder how long its going to last. He is going threw a lot of peer pressure that is going to affect him in the future, his baseball career and the relationship he has with his girlfriend.
The reason why I kida like this book is because I like the suspense that is going on. I want to know what is going on next. Curt is taking drugs and is going to mess him up. The messed up thing is that his coach gave or recommended it to him. Like a muscle relaxer. So i am anxious to find out what happens next!

No problem
My favorite character is Leah she supports curt through out his school year. Curt plays baseball and has a jab moving boxes in a small store. He works with a woman about 25-30 years old her name is Rachel She gets Curt into drugs when he was at her house. She was sniffing white powder. “Cocaine” Curt asked “Try some it won’t hurt you” (pg 48), Rachel said. After Curt tries the drugs his girlfriend told him she doesn’t want to be friends with Curt any more. The next day Curt told the coach that “I quit” (pg 67). He left the field. His mom notices that he is into drugs and tries to help but instead Curt leaves the house. He falls asleep outside Curt’s parents and his friends where looking for him everywhere. Read and find out what happens to Curt.

this book is about a girl named Jully and she is a tom boy. She signed up for a baseball team instead of softball and she was the first girl on that baseball team. i liked this book because she was never giving up on her dreams which was playing a sports team. I also like it because she is a strong girl. She also went to a camp and that helps her pick a sport. thats how she found her sports. The point is i think this is a book you should read if you are a sports person. Also if you teacher wont let you read a small book. Those are my opinions about this book called No Problem by Dayle Campbell Gaetz.

This is a story about Curt. A boy who is on the baseball team. Curt has struggles that a lot of people don't understand. He is in denial about the problems that he is facing.
I like that Curt's girlfriend knew when Curt was acting weird. She knew something was wrong even though he wouldn't admit it.
I didn't like that Curt let his addiction get that bad before he finally got help for it. It was obvious that he was addicted.
This book is for people that like to see conflicts resolved. It was an Ok book. Someone will love it.

this book is about a boy who is a baseball player and has a girlfriend but then his friends from a store he works at finds out she has been smoking cocaine but when he get some of it he just can't stop. i connect this to a book where a teen smokes crystal meth and just cant stop until his dealer does not get paid so he goes after the addicted man to get his money. i would give this book 5 stars because you get to expierience how a drugged man lives his life and that you should not take drugs.

This book deals with the troublesome life of a normal average guy, who plays baseball , and does cocaine. A friend from work "persuaded" him to try drugs , and he was already messed up from the so called "muscle relaxent" his coach give him so he can play better
I am eager to read this book to the end , to see if Curt will survive his addiction, keep the girl, and continu his life clean and without drugs.

This book is about a guy named Curt. He recently has a girlfriend named Leah. Their relationship has been going pretty well, but something is going on that Leah isn't telling Curt. She has been acting very weird. She doesn't stay out late with Curt and she doesn't let Curt come up to her house.
I think that the book so far is pretty interesting. I was kinda bored in the beginning, but it got better later.

This book was a quick read, but a good read. One of the only books that kept me intrigued the entire way through. I could relate so part of the plot so it was easy to connect to what was going on. If your into easy reads that keep you on the edge, a very good choice. The plot was simple to follow. It kept me on the edge of my seat. And strangely, if i was told to read it again, i would do it happily.
