Useful information, but my mind tended to wander while reading it because the text is so wordy and such. It seemed sometimes like their objective in writing this text was that it could be understood by a child....

I was a bit worried about using this book for my course because it's a bit older, but I am quite happy with using it this semester. The content and examples are still very relevant.

The only thing outdated are many of the websites throughout, however there's enough detail to do an outside search for most.

It is an introduction. There are some examples. There are many references.

I'm currently re-reading it and taking some notes. I mostly needed the chapter on cost-benefit evaluation designs as that is all I will be doing.

Excellent textbook. It was well laid out, informative, and not overly wordy. The conversational tone of the writing made it easy to read and follow. Important, relevant information was provided as well as relevant examples. Should I pursue program evaluation, I will definitely be purchasing a copy of this textbook to use as resource.
