From NY Times and USA Today Bestselling author Cora Brent comes a new epic crossover novel.

Jenny...
I was a lost girl, a child bride.
Now, to most people I appear to be just an average college student. They would never guess my strange history. But secretly I'm still held down by my past. I cannot bring myself to trust men.
So why do I find myself drawn to the most dangerous one of all?
Oversexed, foul-mouthed and ten years my senior, he should have been my nightmare.
Instead, he's my fantasy....

Deck...
How many women have I ruined?
Hell if there's any point in counting. Only once did I ever do something unforgivable and the consequence crushed my soul. Maybe that's why I remain here, in the barren desert wasteland occupied by the worst of my degenerate family.
This is a prison I've inflicted on myself.
Into my purgatory walks Jenny; feisty, beautiful, but little more than a girl.
No one decent should want a thing to do with me.
I told her that.
She didn't listen.

Note: Fall is a crossover between the Gentry Boys series and the Defiant MC series. Characters from the Gentry Boys as well as the book Promise Me figure prominently. However, Fall was written as a stand-alone and it is not necessary to have read either series. Warning: This book is intended for mature audiences over the age of 18. It contains explicit language, sexual situations, and violence that may be upsetting to some.

This book is mild compare to the other books in this series. Its not I do not like it, but it does not left any heart warming feeling. From the blurp I thought there will be some MC aspect to the story. And I was wrong.

The while story is more about reminiscene about Deck parent, Gentry twin's parents and their love life. Not so much twist and heavy plot. Just simple. I found it a bit boring in the middle.

There is that insta lust between Deck and Jeny. Their chemistry is cold and not develop well. Overall, with some parts are boring, I still enjoy this book OK. Managed to finish it during my insomnia night.

4 FALL in love with Deck Gentry Stars!

description

How I felt when I remembered there was a new Gentry Boys book available -
description

Don't scoff I know I was not alone in my fangirlish excitement when I found Deck had his own book. In fact I am pretty sure if you listened closely you probably could have heard the sound of women's panties being dropped all over the world as soon as the book became available.... because let's face it, Deck is that hot!.

description

Fall tells the story of the Gentry triplets older gorgeous, tough, motorcycle riding cousin, Deck and Jenny the sweet, shy college girl with a traumatic past. From the moment this seemingly opposite pair meet they are inexplicably drawn to one another and no matter how hard Deck tries to resist there is an undeniable connection between them. Whilst outwardly they may be nothing alike it becomes obvious these two damaged people have far more in common then they realise. The both bear the emotional scars of a past that haunts them and struggle to keep from being consumed by them.

As their attraction mounts and the passion intensifies Deck tries to keep Jenny away, believing himself to not be worthy of her but Jenny is a strong woman who is not going to let this beautiful man who has the power to see inside her walk away without a fight.

Will Deck be able to let go of his past and the demons that haunt him or will he finally let it all go and allow himself the peace and love that Jenny brings him?.

Cora Brent has delivered another wonderful book full of drama, passion, surprises and love.

Deck Gentry was everything I hoped he would be - a hot, mysterious, brooding, dangerous, alpha with a beautiful kind and sweet heart. I loved the way he fiercely protected the people he loved no matter what and even if it meant putting himself in harms way.

Jenny carried the scars of her traumatic past but she didn't let them control her life or prevent her from opening her heart to Deck. She was strong, resilient and kind.

Even though it broke my heart I loved learning more about all the Gentry's pasts in Emblem and just how much impact Deck has had on the triplets lives. I also enjoyed that we got a lot of present interaction with the triplets and their ladies too..... we even had a lovely surprise along the way!.

I really enjoyed this book and really hope there will be more to come. I am not ready to let go of the Gentry boys yet. So, if you haven't yet read this fantastic series I would recommend doing so immediately.

I personally, recommend this book and series to readers who like alpha-males, slightly damaged females, insta-love and were fans of books like - The Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds and The Fighting Series by J.B Slasbury

5 Falling Stars!

Review by Natasha Gentile

So for those of you that don’t know this-I am in love with these Gentry boys. In Draw, Risk and Game we fell in love with the triplet brothers, but we also got to see a glimpse of their big bad cousin Deck. Deck oh Deck..Be still my heart. Last month Cora asked me who my favorite Gentry was and I couldn’t really chose between brothers, but I can without a doubt say Deck Gentry is my favorite. I know, I know, stop the madness….Here is my journey with Deck

Jenny was on going on Christmas break with her roommate. Hoping for a quiet holiday but what she got was just the opposite. She comes from a past where she was a child bride, a past where she was rescued and is trying her hardest not to let it catch up with her. No one knows her history, no one needs to know. Till she meets him, till he rescues her, willing her to not look back.

A flicker of movement caught my eye and for the first time I saw that we were being watched. The man was sitting on his motorcycle but it didn’t appear that he’d just ridden up a minute ago. He looked like he might have been waiting outside for a while, perhaps just staring at the snow. He stood up and I could see he was big, impressively built, covered in leather and complete with tattoos that bled over his collar and up his neck. He had an imposing presence that was more than strength; it was plain magnetism and couldn’t be faked.

Where is this place and how can I get there? Deck, oh Deck Gentry, you beautiful creature all wrapped up in leather. When Deck decides to stop in at a bar off the highway his main focus was getting a beer and relaxing, he wasn’t interested in anything but that, oh and maybe getting laid, and let’s be honest after reading the above paragraph the chances were high, so the last thing he wanted to do was save some damsel in distress.

He casually crossed his arms and I got my first real good look at him. I was average height but he was at least a foot taller. It was difficult to estimate his age. He couldn’t have been more than thirty but there was a kind of shrewdness in his expression which led me to guess he was either more intelligent or more world weary than most men. There was also no way to avoid noticing his physical appeal. This black-haired man who had been called Gentry was broad and strong with an intense gaze and a ridiculously handsome full-lipped face that would rival any movie star’s. His wide shoulders seemed to take up half the closet-sized room. I resisted the itch to squirm and look away as his dark eyes conducted a more thorough appraisal. I had never been comfortable under the scrutiny of men and this one radiated an immense aw power mixed with sexual energy. He scared the living hell out of me.

So now he’s saving her, he is doing what ever gentleman do, except there is one thing Deck isn’t and that's a gentleman. He doesn’t want any strings, he doesn’t want any headaches, he wants to be a wham bam thank you ma’am kind of guy. He is perfectly ok being the lone wolf in his pack. For as long as he can remember he has always been the one taking care of things, starting early at taking care of his aunt and trying to make sure his uncle never hurt his cousins. He was always the savior, so he did the only thing he knows, he tried saving Jenny.

When I opened the bathroom door and caught sigh of her sitting there at my crappy table, her hands were clasped in her lap and she looked sad, so terribly sad. I was tempted to hold her, to push the strands of dark hair from her forehead and take her in my arms. The problem was it wouldn’t end there. I wasn’t capable of letting it end there. When Jenny realized I was looking at her she snapped to attention and her face went impassive. I had the impression she did that often, that she wore masks to hide what she didn’t want people to see.

Isn’t it funny that they say opposites attract, but some how in this case two people who didn’t seek each other, found exactly what they weren’t looking for. Jenny didn’t think anyone would want her once they knew about her past. Deck just didn’t think he deserved to be loved.

What is love? Is it waking up beside a man who occupies most of your thoughts and realizing that you never want to wake up anywhere else? Some would argue that wasn’t enough, that years of emotional work is required in to earn the word ‘love’.

So now the question is will he be able to see the real her? Will she be able to let go of her past and embrace her future? Will he let her see that in the end he just wants the love of a good woman? Will she be the one who will make Deck Gentry finally fall?

While it was great to catch up with the Gentry boys this was not nearly as good as the first three books in the series.

I liked Declan and Jenny. But Dec was too caught up in his past and Jenny was just too young. Not a lot happened in the book. No really huge drama. More happens with the triplets than the MCs. So it is worth the read as a continuation of the series but I am not sure about it as a standalone.

Love love love the Gentry triplets and finally a book for their oh so sexy bad boy biker cousin Declan or Deck. I have been waiting for this book. Deck is a few years older than the triplets and tried to look out for them as they grew up with their sadistically evil father Benton Gentry. Deck takes care of people. The h is Jenny who is from another Cora Brent series. Jenny, younger sister of Promise from the book Promise Me, is a young girl rescued from a religious cult after being married to a man almost three times her age. Now she is in college and is trying to be normal. She goes home for Christmas with her trashy roommate and ends up in Emblem, AZ, home of the Gentry clan. Her roommate abandons her at a bar and Deck ends up rescuing Jenny from unwanted attention. He offers her a place to stay for the night and ride back to campus which extends to a ride to her sisters home. Deck desires Jenny but he plays the gentleman (mostly). He drops her off and leaves without saying goodbye. Fate intervenes and Deck and Jenny meet again at Deck's cousin Creed's musical performance. He decides to take what he wants and he definitely wants Jenny. But things do not go according to his plan as he learns about Jenny's sad past. Her story touches something in him and he realizes they both come from painful pasts and maybe they can help heal each other.
I really enjoyed this story because of the slow simmering burn of the passion between the two characters. Deck wanted to jump her but he held back and got to know her which made her different from the countless faceless women from his past. And Jenny learned to trust again. I also liked we got to catch up with the Gentry cousins as well as Promise and Gray.

I was really looking forward to this one, but sadly it didn't quite measure up and a feel a tad but let down. When I pick up a book that is labelled as a romance, that's what I expect and that's what I want. There was very little romance in this book, in fact they didn't really get together in a romantic way until way after halfway through the story. So much so they didn't even spend much time together to even develop any sort of relationship until more than halway through. Instead we got a lot of inner monologue of Gentry history which I feel should have been dealt with in Cord, Chase and Creed's books as it was mostly about them. Deck was in the marines yet it was hardly mentioned. He had something huge happen to him years before that affected his whole life yet that was barely mentioned. The constant rehash and waffle of Gentry history was a total overload, and for me pointless. This was supposed to be DECK'S story, not a recount of the Gentry Brother's childhood. They've had their books, this should have been Deck's turn.

There was also a lot of telling and very little showing, as the reader I want to experience what the character is experiencing WHEN they experience it, not be told about it after it's all happened. Example - Jenny had been going on about meeting up with her mother several times in the book and for me this was meeting was a pivotal point in the story, yet we don't experience it. We read about it by-the-by when she is telling one of her mates?? I wanted to FEEL what she was feeling, know what she was thinking and experience the meeting with her, not be told about it after the effect. Nope, that don't work for me, it left me wanting a lot more than I got.

2.5 rather disappointing stars

I was very excited to read this 4th book in the Gentry Boys series. Declan's story- The Gentry brother's cousin.
The ironic thing, is that this book has a TON more back story of the Gentrys than the first three books combined. A good thing and a bad thing. I have to say the most hated character-has got to be Benton- Cord, Creed & Chase's dad. Whoa- NO redeeming qualities AT ALL. Very realistic-I unfortunately know that there are people out there like him. I just didn't want SO much of this book to have him in it. He really took up WAY too much of what could be Jenny & Declan's love story. You know that line from the movie, "Zoolander", 'I just threw up in my mouth' (sorry, TMI). I almost got out rubber gloves to read the parts with Benton and Maggie. ewww.
People that live in small towns matter & I want to read about their stories, but this was gritty and them some!
I really enjoyed reading about the brothers and how close Declan was with them when they were really young.
Declan has no siblings, so he always tried to look after the guys-he is 5 years older than the Gentry triplets.
The scene transitions were a little awkward for me- ie the characters being in one place-then suddenly in another. The VERY long build up of Jenny & Declan's intimacy was really LONG. There is a reason given, but I didn't completely buy it. I am very happy to have read this book- My curiosity for this book was very high. I will give 3.5 stars since I liked ALL the Gentry brothers & their ladies and also loved Jenny and Declan.
**Big thanks to JLC for getting me started on this series**

Ahh.. More like a 2.5. I just wasn't into it or the characters. I felt like there wasn't much to the story it almost seemed to focus more on the Gentry brothers parents.

I thought maybe it would be more about how the h was a child bride or maybe more about the H's rough past.. But really there was nothing much to their back stories. Also, I didnt feel their love. There was more a HFN then HEA!

Declan's Story

Cora Brent has continued her "Gentry Boy's" series and written about their cousin Declan Gentry. Declan is your typical damaged tough guy on the outside with a big soft heart on the inside. While his past haunts him..he doesn't much think about a future...until he meets Jenny.

A great story with a HEA and plenty of The Gentry triplets w/their girls. Check out this great continuation ...

Declan Gentry is one he'll of man. He's all man no boy!! He also has been around if you know what I mean. I never thought Dec would have thing for Jenny. She just seemed to innocent for Dec. But what Dec wants Dec gets. And Jenny surprised me as well she has a little wild side to her they make an awesome team.

Hero needed to make his mind up, he gets her naked and to the point of putting a condom on, then just stops and hands her her clothes back, uggh!!

Hero and heroine are apart for most of the book, just couldn't connect with either character.

It has pretty much gotten to the point where I will happily read ANYTHING Cora Brent writes...she speaks to my heart as a woman and as someone who likes to really get the "feels" when I dive into a book and into someone else's story.
We first met Jenny in Promise Me (Defiant MC book #2) when she was rescued from the cult and brought to her sister for safe keeping. Jenny was only 16 in that book and was sent to live with her brother in California where she went to school and was given a chance to somewhat "heal" from her injuries, both emotional and physical. When Fall begins, Jenny is 19 and finds herself stranded at a bar, garnering the unwanted attention of some creeps, when Declan Gentry swoops in to save the day.
Deck is a dark and dreamy bad-boy with a heart of gold...just as you should not judge a book by its cover...you also can not judge this man by his outward appearance.
I loved Deck...ever since he took on the role of protector to his triplet cousins both growing up and even more so now that they are all settled with the loves of their lives at 23 years old. Declan has been watching over these boys since they were born (and he was only 5)..trying his best to protect them from their evil and abusive father and feeling at times like he is the only one capable of taking care of them physically and emotionally, as their useless and pitiful mother is wasting away on drugs and mental illness.
Deck has been a loner ever since the only woman he ever settled down with was taken from his life in a tragic accident and he lives his life almost in a nomadic way, with women coming and going from his revolving bedroom door. He pretty much is blindsided when the young (only 19 to his 28) Jenny comes into his life and causes him to re-think everything he thought he knew about love and women in general. Jenny has had a hard life...being forced into a loveless marriage by the perverse leaders of the cult she was brought into and losing the only boy she ever cared for when it was discovered they had been together...she is an innocent to some of the ways of the outside world but finds her soulmate in a man who could both make her whole and destroy her if he wanted to.
I really loved the patience and care taken to develop their relationship over time...there was no wham bam jump in the sack for these two...although OMG the foreplay and flirtatious teasing between Deck and Jenny was mega watt HOT and when they finally realize their feelings for each other (and seal the deal), it was truly explosive passion.
We learn a whole lot more about the Gentry triplets heartbreaking childhood as well as some dropped bombs of possible big secrets that could impact the future...but for now, enjoy this really sweet and sexy and emotionally charged romance with cameos from some much beloved characters from the Gentry Boys and Defiant MC series. I love love loved reading this one, as Declan has always intrigued and excited me when I first encountered this sexy cousin in a previous book...and you will want to know him too believe me! Another awesome and thoughtful family drama from Cora Brent.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4+++ Stars for Declan and Jennetta! This book had me laughing, swooning, and crying more times than I expected.

*Disclaimer* I'm usually not a fan of books when the female main character is under 20 and the male character is mid-20s and up. This is just a quirk of mine. *shrugs* But this book, like Kill Devil Hills by Sarah Darlington it just worked for me.

Declan "Deck" Gentry, is the older cousin to the Gentry Boy triplets. He's been their protector since they were born, and 23 years later he is still looking out for them. "My five-year-old heart was eager to fight anyone I needed to fight to keep them safe." "I spent the night on the shed floor with them, wrapped in old horse blankets and holding them all close to keep them warm, to keep them safe. I didn't sleep at all." I mean, I can't even! He's been handling their drugged-out junkie of a mother and major dick of a father so they don't have to deal with that heartbreak.
Jennetta "Jenny Smith"- she grew up in a crazy, religious, polygamist sect. I haven't read the Defiant MC books so this was my first introduction to her. She's young, spunky, and strong. Despite all the shocks and heartaches of my short life, I had never cowered. I wouldn't start now.

Deck and Jenny are both dealing with the their troubled pasts while also navigating the feelings they have for each other. The build-up in this book was amazing, so glad it wasn't a case of insta-love.
I have so many funny things highlighted in my Kindle that Deck said, he really made me laugh. And cry. And swoon- definite alpha-male material! Like Jenny said, I'd learned that the men who have the most fearsome appearances might be the ones with the gentlest hearts. This is so true of Deck!

I loved getting to know Deck, his story, and the history with the triplets. I'll eventually read the Defiant MC series I think, just to get to know Jenny a little more.

I am really waffling between 3 and 4 stars for this one. Let's just call it 3.5.

I read it immediately following Game and I thought it was better than Game but maybe not quite as good as the first two. This book brings together characters from two separate series. Although I've only read the Gentry Boys series I never felt lost in the plot. I think it would work the other way around too. If you've only read the Jericho series you wouldn't be lost in this one. In fact, the author did such a good job intertwining the two stories that I truly believe this one can be read as a stand alone book.

I love Declan and I've loved him since I first met him way back in Cord's story. I didn't connect with Jenny quite as much but I really appreciated that there was no unnecessary drama in their relationship. I absolutely loved getting more pieces of the Gentry brothers' past and how Deck fit into it. The story of how their parents are living is devastating. The epilogue is absolutely perfect.

The things I had a problem with are 1. Too much telling, not enough showing. It's harder to relate to characters when I feel like I'm an onlooker instead of feeling and breathing their emotions. 2. The dirty talk leaves a lot to be desired. It's downright crass. 3. There wasn't enough development in the romance between Deck and Jenny. It was almost too easy. We needed more from Jenny.

I think this is the end of the Gentry boys series. I'm a little sad to see it end. These guys stole my heart and turned it to mush.

Awe Declan gentry I've been waiting for your book and it did not disappoint! Declan is the cousin of the triplets, the one who tried to keep them safe and tried to help them as much as possible with their neglected and abusive parents. Deck' s book shines more light on how far he went to keep the boys safe then and now. Declan was an Amazing character and I was happy to see him get his HEA. All the characters are back in this book and some HEA all around. Recommend this series to anyone who loves romance, underdogs getting what they finally deserve, love, friendship and an amazingly real life storyline. You'll smile, tear up and want to punch some characters but hay doesn't that sound like books that grab and hold your attention? It did mine.

5+++++ FANTASTIC FALL STARS

This whole series about the Gentry Boys has been fantastic and the final book about Deck and Jenny is probably my most favourite. Every page had me hooked, read it all in one day ( housework be damned!!) and can't stop thinking about it since. Deck is just an all round cool, alpha, badass, HOT, loyal beautiful guy with just the right balance of edginess and OMG factor!
Jenny is awesome and so very easy to like. She doesn't whine or do stupid stuff. She makes you want to hug her. She totally loses her heart to Deck.
If you have not read this series, what are you waiting for???

Deck and Jenny. What a pair. It was so hard not to love Deck. He was good-hearted and just the way he took care of the Gentry triplets made me love him even more!

Jenny's story was so unique. Escaping from her own hell on Earth, she was determined to overcome all and find a real life for herself. Great storyline!

Loving this series!

Awful. No depth to any of the characters and the sex scenes were crude and pornographic. There was nothing sensual about it at all. Very difficult to like the couple in this book, as they seemed like a miss marched pair of socks. Don't bother to read if you read a lot of books, as you will be disappointed. I can't believe some people rated this book highly.

Great premise, poor execution. There was a lot about nothing in this book. A lot about the cousins and their stories. A lot of backstory about everyone. Who cares?!?! I felt as if half the book was about everyone else and not the MCs.

Bottom line, I did not feel any connection between the MCs. The hero tried to act indifferent but it felt forced. The heroine…I am not sure what she wanted out of life. There was a lot of “no, no, no” then “YES” all in one breath.
Her verbiage and attitude did not feel as someone who was in a cult for majority of her life.

I gave up at 60%. I could not handle the characters. I expected something different. It was the writing style too.
The hero is 28 or 29 and heroine is 19. The hero says “you are too young, I want an experienced woman” but later that evening wants to have sex with her. Almost does but he thinks she is a virgin. She is not.
The plot did not work for me. Good luck.
All my opinion.

I liked reading this book, but it was more average than anything for me. There wasn't anything huge that bothered me at all, it was just kind of blah. I liked Jenny and Deck but I didn't love them like Truly and Creed, I didn't like them as much as Chase and Stephanie. To me, and I hate to say it because I did like the book but they were just bland. I didn't see Jenny as a once child bride. Maybe that's because she had already adapted to society outside of their commune but she still showed more fear of confronting her mother than trying to fit into a world that was still new to her. I don't know, I guess I feel like that part of her past was brushed over and didn't go into much detail at all when it played a huge role in her life. I also felt like she was lying when she said she felt guilty for what happened to Reese but other than that, it didn't affect her at all. Not the way that Declan punished himself and beat himself up over every day whenever he thought of Amelia. I knew he was guilt ridden and grieved for her every day, it showed and I knew that he still blamed himself over her death. Jenny thought of Reese once or twice out of the whole book and seemed very unaffected by his death, not as much as she should have at least. She just appeared to be too normal for what she'd been through and that felt like the cult thing was just thrown in to be part of her background. The problem with that, is that it was never fully explored and that made the story very weak. If you're going to put something as heavy as that in a book, you have to be completely dedicated in doing it justice and making it as real and gritty as possible. This didn't do that and I didn't buy that she was once a part of a cult.

Declan was alright and I appreciated that we got to see just how much he struggled growing up, protecting his cousins, making the decision to try to make something of himself when he was an adult. This is what I like to see in books, the backstory, how it's made them who they are today, how far they've come. The thing with him is that I felt he was too closed off, too far gone, too damaged to be healed in a matter of days. He's seen a lot of things in his life and I think it would take him a lot longer than eating at a diner once or twice with a girl he kept himself from having sex with and taking out to watch a scenic view. They hardly spent any time together when you really think about it and while they didn't actually have sex until close to the end, they might as well have with how much dry humping and oral they did while they were "connecting" so to speak. I feel like the place they were at in the end should have been where the beginning of the book was because they hadn't done much in getting to know each other at all. She was always trying to get him to have sex with her, he was always pulling back, then once it was done two weeks later I think it was and they're in love. I just couldn't believe it, I couldn't accept that they'd gotten from where they were in the beginning to where they were in the end because he refused to let her in and she followed him around like a puppy. They talked sure, but they didn't really open up the way I envisioned they would. Their relationship seemed more HFN than HEA.

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't anything amazing. It was average, passable I guess, if you want something to pass the time and you want something a decent length but nothing heavy. I can honestly say though I won't read it again, not because it's bad, it's just not very interesting and the characters don't stand out much. Another one that's just not for me, I guess.

Declan...

Oooooh Declan... his story was so different for me... I absolutely loved the insight of his young life and the lives of the triplets, no matter how heartbreaking it was to hear. Only thing that I didn't like was there was still no justice with the sad excuse of a father Benton Gentry... He's the worst possible human being and he's still living a miserable life with Declan giving him money to stay away... That doesn't seem fair.
I can't even feel sorry for Maggie, her "sickness" is all on her and she deserves the life she has.. They both do, so I can't stand the fact that they're still wasting away on Declans dime..... Wish that loose end would have been crossed off....But, perhaps in another story.

At first Jenny's story seemed kind of unbelievable, you hear about things like that happening on tv or whatever, but I dunno, just doesnt seem real...I'm glad she got away from all that and had her family...
She's a strong willed brave person....I'd like to read more about her and Declan though, I dunno what it was about them, or maybe I was just used to seeing how Cord, Creed and Chase were with there ladies, I just didn't feel that between Declan and Jenny...
I dunno why, I dont know what it was about it, but it just didn't feel like the others...
I can't explain it really...I dunno...

LOVED seeing the rest of the boys and their ladies, especially the twin girls Cordero and Saylor had...I know they'll be awesome parents and I can't wait to see Chase and Creed as Uncles, I really hope we get another story about all that, even if it's just a novella...I love it!

I will say that this has been an awesome addition to the series and at some points I was even anxious to get to the next page, I couldn't wait to see what was next, and it's been a while since I've had a book capture me like that...
Overall, it was an excellent read and I can't wait to see whats next for these Gentry Boys <3

I was given an opportunity to do an arc for honest review by author and this is my opinion, the way the book affected me.

Deck is a Gentry, worst of the worst as far as Emblem is concerned. But no one is brave enough to cross him there. Everyone even respects him.
He is brave, stands up for those he loves and definately keeps the women of Emblem happy. And loves his aunt Maggie even though she has
hurt his 3 cousins and sticks by his uncle Bennet whom he despises.

Jenny is a survivor of the worst upbringing. She is determined to never be under a mans thumb again. ( There is a surprise on who she is, so I'm not going to give that away. And hope no one else does ) she goes home with her roommate Ally who is a Emblem native and runs into trouble one night when abandoned by said roommate. Enter Declan hmmm. ... All I can say is WOW sparks fly and you know immediately there is sexual chemistry.

Deck helps Jenny outta that bind and takes her to her family for the remainder of her break ( squeee that is where the surprise comes in ) and has it out with a family member and takes off. Low and behold Jenny makes friends with the Gentry trio's women. And then ends up with them setting her and Deck up to run into each other.

Now of course here is where the should we shouldn't we comes into play, they push and pull each other. I dont want to give this completely away so I am gonna stop now cause I could keep going, this by far is one of my fav's by the talented Cora. Do not miss out on this book, it gives you so much insight into the Gentry family and answers so many questions. 5 stars from me and would recommend to any reader if you have not read the Gentry's you are missing out!

Even though Fall is a standalone story, you'll want to read the Gentry Boys series so you can fall in love with his cousins Cord, Chase and Creed and see more of Declan. Jenny's sister and brother-in-law are also in the book Promise Me. All of those books are good and shouldn't be missed.

Now, this is Declan's and Jenny's story. It's a heartwarming story of two lost souls finding happiness together. Declan has always been a loner. He spent time in the Marines and had some demons he'd been dealing with for a while. When he saves Jenny from being attacked at a bar, his feelings towards her started opening old wounds he hadn't dealt with. Something about the beautiful redhead made him feel again. He knows she's about ten years younger than him and uses that to help fight the attraction. Jenny had a horrible upbringing. While still in her teens, her father forcefully gave her to an elderly man as his bride even though he had other wives. She obviously has a hard time trusting men, but is immediately drawn to Declan and feels safe with him. Weeks later when they're brought back together, neither will be the same again.

I loved Declan in the Gentry series so I knew his story would be good. He's such a protective and caring man even though others don't see him that way. Jenny however, always saw the good. She also is a caring and strong person and just needed someone who made her feel special. I loved getting to see the characters from the Gentry series and seeing how they were all doing. This was a great read.

More Gentry Boys.

While I absolutely loved 'Draw' and 'Risk' I didn't finish 'Game' it just wasn't working for me at all I think that was mainly down to Stephanie, so after several tries I gave up. Despite this I still love those Gentry boys and from the first time he was mentioned I've wanted more of Declan I always hoped he would get his own book and now he has.
I knew this would be a different read since the strength of 'Draw' and 'Risk' came not only from the characters but the relationship and bond between the brothers and while Declan is their cousin the relationship is not the same. This was also a slightly darker book since not only do Declan and Jenny have more baggage than any two people their ages should have but Declan is also carrying some of the triplets baggage as well, at times it seems almost suffocating and endless.
The relationship between Declan and Jenny slowly builds as they both come to terms with their pasts, this is a beautiful read and I imagine it would be difficult to read this book and not fall madly in love with Deck, he's amazing.
Jenny may only be nineteen but she's been through so much which makes her a strong female character, worthy of Declan? we'll have to see.
