Great book for those who are seeking brief knowledge of the history of England.
This book provides concise events that happened in each King's or Queen's reign. It lists the Royals who sequentially ruled England and all main events occurring at their time.
It's important to know the history of England for it's a catalyst to different life changing events for Europe at that time.
England is where the reformation of church first happened, having the English Church break loose from the Roman Catholic one - this induced what we now know by Protestants. It is also the first thread towards Liberalism, for the first liberals were actually English Puritans. It's where 18th century's Industrial Revolution first started, which impacts our lives till this day on. Its colonization is the cause of the American Revolution; hence, the famous Boston tea party. It was a main culprit in slave trade and the colonization of India and most of the continent of Africa.
England witnessed several important wars, such as: The Hundred Years' War, Wars of Roses, Anglo-Spanish war, Nine Years' War, Napoleonic Wars, and of course the first and second world wars.
England lived through huge economic, political, and artistic changes. From the Renaissance and the Elizabethen age, to Shakespeare's age, and concluding it with the famous Victorian era. All these contributed in forming the England we now know.
Despite your religious or political views towards this Empire, one cannot deny the abundant changes within that spread its essence to all civilizations.

I read this book for my academic purpose. Its a really brief history of england covering all the major incidents. with a brief of it.
