Always a favourite of mine as a child (my edition is from the 80s). Just finished reading this to Older Girl for school. She complained about it, but despite her protests was still very engaged by it. O the perversity of youth. ;-)

Nice intro to Geography for the lower elementary with pictures to try and copy, and captions to copy for copywork or narration.

A great introduction to mountain, jungle, and desert habitats and the animals and peoples who live there. Love Usborne books!

I liked this book because it told me a lot about what I didn't know about wild places. this book was read to me by mom
