KPS Gill destroy the each and every fact of movement. He tried to defame the image of Sikh fighters by false allegations on them. But anywhere in book he do not talk about Fake encounters, torture of police,State Sponsered killings of Sikhs, police supported criminals used as black cats,Killing of human activists like Jaswant Singh Kalra etc.He give only one sided false story which he made with his own imagination.Much more to say about this book is that it provides incorrect information about events and of Sikh Fighters
A well written book for someone seeking to understand what went wrong in Punjab and what went wrong with the great religion of Sikhism during the decade of terror.
When we read about Punjab and the terrorism in Punjab one name that comes to our mind is Kanwar Pal Singh Gill(KPS Gill). When Punjab had lost his hope as political system was in the lap of terrorism and security was crumbling and almost everyone had lost hope Gill is credited of bringing the terrorism into its knees.
In this book he talks about his experience in Punjab and what was the level of brutality that the terrorists inflicted in the name of religion. Reading the sheer savagery sends down shivers. It was really tough living then in Punjab. He has summed up the three phases of terrorism i.e. before the killing of Bhindrawale, after bhindrawale and pre Operation Black Thunder and post Operation black thunder briefly. He has touched upon the various aspects like the change in tactics which these terrorists operated and how the Punjabi society reacted to terrorism. He has mentioned both the story of valour and treachery. The last two chapters are based on stories of Sikh Valours from history.
Its a must read for those who want to know Punjab Militancy and terrorism better.
