In the year 2078, Cross Step is home to strange portals called Voids, and species who've come through are now a part of everyday society. Humans mistakenly compare Ravagers to werewolves, but Ravagers are so much more than myth. They're real, and they're here to stay. Kate Savage should be the happiest Ravager on the planet. She finally has the two males she's been lusting after for years. But her mates don't seem to want her. To make matters worse, she's in her first heat. But when she wakes up in a hotel room, tied up and confronted with two angry mates who feel wronged and abandoned, things really heat up. Logan and Jesse are tired of tradition and waiting on Kate. They've decided to claim her themselves, and to finally get the stubborn female to see what's in front of her. Love, lust and danger combine to make Kate's heat the hottest thing ever. If the three of them have the courage to put their hearts on the line, they'll have that happily-ever-after yet.

“Love is such a soft, useless emotion” but when Kate Savage chooses two pack mates then runs out on them she “turns a traditional mating on its head” and leaves her mates hanging because of that four-letter word. Tired of waiting on her to make a move to claim them Logan and Jesse decided to claim her their way in a plot that will give you a new and refreshing view on the whole werewolf story.
The best thing about Sci-fi/paranormal stories is there are no rules or set boundaries on how the characters should look or act. So when you reed a unique and out of the norm book such as this one you get to enjoy a new observation on the whole werewolf theme. While humans view Ravagers lives as either fornicating or fighting you have a whole lot of room to let your imagination soar and dig into the plot and characters as Ms. Harte brings them to life within the story.
With animal sex appeal, and the need for sex and touch, you can be assure of some very hot reading when the three come together. You'll find yourself on a twisting road where nothing is what you expect, which was one reason I found this book so enjoyable to read. I like the new dimensional view that Ms. Harte did with the werewolf other world theme. This reviewer is looking forward to reading more of Ms. Harte’s books and searching out more books with new and unique tales like this one. I found nothing lacking in the plot or the writing style in this story and I’m glad to have it in my library. Definitely a story that you can get into if you like paranormal.
Second book of the series. (The GR listings are squirrely. Apparently this is an extended version of a book called Kate Undone which comes after Namesake - but GR has them as two different series)
I liked the first one better, but this was still a fun easy read. Kate, Logan & Jesse were introduced in Namesake and there’s series storylines that start there as well - this doesn’t really stand completely on its own. The relationship (with the addition of Kellen) arc does have an HFN.
MF, MM, & MMF scenes.
Next book, Love the Viper, doesn’t appear to have been released yet.
Book two brings us more enemies within the human race against the Voiders who were brought to this world through no fault of their own. Kate is the main heroine in this story as she forms her own pack within the clan. Jessie and Logan are two that we met in the last book but another surprise member is introduced. I fell in love with him from the very beginning. He is strong but gentle in all ways that make him a great character. Tommy Chen is up to something too. The next book may just give us the answers we are looking for.
So good! I read Kate Undone years ago, I like this version as well. I enjoyed the expanded story on with more about Kellen and where he was coming from.
I'm really excited to see that we will have 2 more books in the series so we can FINALLY read Tommy and Viper's story and find out more about the "watchers"...
I'm not usually a sci fi fan but Marie Harte is so talented! I'm also not usually a reverse harem fan, but here I am loving this! After reading the first in the series I was hooked!
Like the first book an interesting storyline and great characters. Lots and lots of sex, almost gratuitous though they did change it about a lot so it stopped it from becoming boring.
Loved kellen, a really great character. Infact I loved viper n chen and dante too. She introduced so many great new characters.
We found out a little more about their homeworld, but it was still very little, we need more!
Marie Harte’s Voiders series is another sexy-as-all-get-out men-loving-men-and-women indulgence that I am hoping will be going for some time to come. I love the Ravagers, an alien race that, along with a few other new and very interesting species now inhabit at least one corner of Earth. This and the first book in the series, Namesake deal largely with Ravagers from the Savage pack and more scrumptious bunch of males I’ve yet to find, at least not in Cross Step, Kansas.
One of the things that I like a lot about Kate Undone is the dynamics of the relationship between Kate, Logan and Jesse. Either as a melded unit comprised of the three of them together or paired up: Kate and Logan’s dynamics are very different from those of Jesse and Kate’s, or Logan’s and Jesse’s. Their unique characters make this a triad with its own quirks and personality and watching as they discover how their strengths, and perceived weaknesses, combine is a little bit fun and whole lot of fascinating.
This is the second series by Marie Harte that has really grabbed my attention and one which I hope to see a lot more of.
The way in which the author has brought such an alien conglomeration together in a future not that far off is interesting to say the least. I love the way in she’s created such a completely different future and, for all intents and purposes, new world. The Earth that is populated with Voiders as well as the ‘native’ humans is a very different place than anything I could envision and yet it seems to be so real…okay, ‘real’ is a relative term because we are talking about late in the 21st century.
But for all the differences, one thing that has stayed the same is people. There’s something about ‘human’ nature that transcends time, space and alien races. And yes, these races are not, per se, human…but they share a lot of the same idiosyncrasies of the native planetary residents. It’s fresh and interesting and just so darned cool!
For someone who wasn’t a huge fan of futuristic tales not that long ago, Marie Harte has definitely converted me. And it really doesn’t hurt that the males are so freakin’ sexy!
Kate's bonded mates Logan and Jesse are frustrated with her hesitancy to claim them fully. Their scheme is to force her to make a decision. Will their plan succeed? Kate's one true wish is to be loved. Will her men finally realize how to show their emotions? Kellan is a new addition to Kate's pack. A former Lawless member, he never really fit in with the brutality and the dominance they exhibited. But finding his way with a new clan, discovering whether his size and demeanour fits, and possibly even being welcomed is beyond his hopes.
I read this story when it came out on Ellora's Cave. My computer went and I was devastated. I rebought this story. it is a love story set in futuristic times and OMG, it is HAWT!!! The story draws you in and to some, it can be offputting but to me , it was just up my alley. I loved Kate, Logan and Jesse. There was one point in the story where it had me in tears, but in a good way. All I can say is this is a great book and I love her series...cant wait for her to put another one out.
This is 2nd book in the Voiders series, voiders are aliens who have come to earth through the voids. The books continues to follow the Ravagers who are similer ro Werewolves.Kate is a female who hasn't claimed her mates.Sex and mayhem follows.
I liked Kate's story. There was so much misunderstanding between her, Logan and Jesse. Even though the book was short I enjoyed and like all Marie Harte books it was really hot!
