This series has so much potential, it's a shame that this book got off track. The first half of the book was plodding along nicely, laying the groundwork for the teams' mission and creating a misunderstanding between the hero & heroine. But...the plodding continues. It isn't until well after the halfway mark that the heart of the mission really begins and then it's uneventful and over so quickly that it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, making the reader realize that this romantic suspense is really just a character book with very little suspense plot. Which leads to the second problem: the relationship.
In book 1 of this series (The Path to Freedom), the heroine, Sarah, changes her life by swapping her lack-luster military career and overweight body for intense training as an undercover operator with a body used for distraction. This follow-up book (Taste of Liberty) begins with geering up for her second mission. Also beginning in book 1 is the foundation of attraction between Sarah and her team leader, Vince. After very little time spent interacting with each other, they are suddenly ready to both give-up their careers and retire together, spending their days relaxing in a hamock. I'm sorry, but that just goes against everything that Sarah worked towards in book 1! After one mission (and during prep for the second) she's willing to give up everything that she worked so hard to gain? Sure, there's heat between her and Vince, but there's little development in the relationship, not enough time spent interacting on a level that could convince me that it was time to ride off into the sunset.
Sadly, despite the cliffhanger ending of this book, I will not be reading the next book in the series.

Ashira Datya’s Review
I eagerly awaited this story because I absolutely LOVED the first story in this series and I was not disappointed. Sarah and the guys are back for another tale of daring and intrigue, but the sexual tension between Sarah and Vince is so thick that it could be cut with a serrated spork. This time, Sarah and the guys are trying to stop Russian mafia and things again, don't go as planned.
The beginning of this novel was entertaining to say the least. Vince and Sarah had some interesting things happen, you really gotta love it when people assume things about others. It's hilarious when they discover how wrong they were.
I give A Taste of Liberty three and a half Tea Cups and am anxiously awaiting the next story in this series. However, I give it a heat score of one. The scenes are not graphic at all, but it's still a great story overall!
3 ½ Tea Cups!

A rousing good time! I'm getting this out of order, having not yet read The Path to Freedom, but what a fun ride. Sarah and her team are taking out international arms dealers, and finding love on the way. The characters are well written, and consistent. the author's personal familiarity with high-stakes spy shenanigans comes through in a very authentic sounding story. Sarah's role as team seductress makes us revel in her personal strength, but also one feels a bit icky for her. The dialog is snappy, the descriptions vivid. A real page turner.

Intrigue
More mystery, intrigue as we go on another undercover assignment. Each assignment finds other problems and more question of who's really in charge and what's o happen next. Love this series

I really enjoyed books 1-3. Book 4 which is the final book in the series, I hated. I felt that book 4 was almost written by a different author because the story was so inconsistent with books 1-3. I was riveted reading books 1-3. I stayed up until 5am reading the books last night, then slept for two hours, and woke up to finish reading the series. I am an avid reader, and read hundreds of books a year. If a book does not captivate me, I find myself skimming through some of the boring parts. I read every single word in books 1-3. In book 4 I found myself skimming through some of the scenes because I was so upset at how the saga was evolving.
I was very prepared to give these books 5 stars after reading the first three books. If you are into traditional happy endings, this book is not for you. These books have the same main characters from books 1-4. The love story continues from each book, until the final book where the love story that Pietsch worked so hard to establish in the first three books disappears in a few pages. The main love story is replaced with two other sorta love stories that bothered me very much. The love story in book four was simply not consistent with books 1-3. I am so upset with this series because I wanted to love it, and then the final book has turned me off from this author for good. For an amateur, Pietsch did a fantastic job in how she wrote the books. The only hang up I have is that the last book was HORRIBLE!
I don't think anyone can read books 1-3 without reading the 4th book, so if you are not ok with a really inconsistent and bad ending, don't bother reading books 1-3 because you will only walk away feeling disappointed.

This was the first one of Ms Pietsch's Task Force 125 books that I read (free from Amazon UK). It clearly is a sequel but was easy enough to read as a stand-alone.
Task Force 125 is a Dark Ops team, based out of Las Vegas, operating in Europe. Sarah is the honey-pot that they use to obtain intel on/from various international lowlifes before the team eliminates them - permanently. Along with Sarah is a group of drop-dead gorgeous former military types (one is FBI, one a Recon Marine, one a SEAl etc).
What is refreshing about this series is that Sarah is a REALLY strong female character. In the first book she gunned down pirates (dressed in a bikini) whilst the rest of her team were pinned down without weapons, she also murdered two arms dealers in close physical quarters - one of whom she found very attractive and had been sleeping with for several weeks. She is a hard-drinking, smoking, swearing woman who speaks her mind and stands up for herself.
In this book Sarah is tasked with getting close to "Mr Big" in the arms dealing business and placing bugs to allow the team to identify his entire network before they wipe him out.

I was afraid this book wasn't going to be as action packed as the first, but I was mistaken! This one is just as great as the first! The steamy chemistry between Sarah and Vince holds true! You even get the fun quirkyness of the other team members! I even liked the cliffhanger ending where Vince is captured so that you know there will be another book! As I was reading this book i could picture everything that was going on and I loved it! I was upset when Sarah got shot, but liked that it showed how human she really is. I was starting to think she's Wonder Woman! This is a great book to read!

No one likes to be sick, but when you can read all day its fekkin awesome.
Finished book 1 and 2 today.
Totally loving this series.
Sarah, Vince, Chris, Jase, Will and Brian are back taking out an arms dealer this time around.
Everyone has the heebee geebee's this time. Something is just not right.
Angelo, the man Sarah met on her first R&R, is back and is in fact in a similar line of work. They travel to Italy and stay at Angelo's while they deal with the gun runner.
Lots of action

Love Is Everywhere
This is a spy novel, yet a love story in reality. There are some special ops people who form a terrific team. We start this off in Vegas, in the sun and heat. Then Europe. The team now has a new mission, Get this arms dealer, in Italy. Vince is the leader, and we are in for a ride. Buckle up and read this delightful yarn!

3 stars. This one is better and worse then the first. I liked this mission better in the first but there is less whining about her being fat in this one. There are too many read flags in this mission to make it believable. Not a bad series but not wowing either.
